Nintendo Wii: First Dragon Quest Anniversary Collection Trailer For Wii

Square Enix has released the first Dragon Quest Anniversary Collection trailer on Youtube. Sadly I’m unable to embed the video but you can watch it here. Dragon Quest Anniversary Collection will be released in Japan on September 15th and will come with an exclusive trailer for the highly anticipated Dragon Quest X for Wii.

  1. I’m finding it hard to get excited for this. I mean if they were going to release updated ports then maybe I might play it, but I really don’t have the patience to play a slow NES game these days. Back then sure, now I work and a life, in addition about 20 other games for PS3, 3DS and Wii I can play. There’s no nostalgia factor for me here and I’m sure it wasn’t aimed at me but I would buy this if they at least updated the visuals and made the game run more smoothly like Square Enix did when they released the PSP/DS/iPhone enhanced ports of Final Fantasy 1, 2, 3 and 4.

    1. Have to disagree with that, the enhanced ports don’t have the charm of some epic 8 and 16-bit sprites, plus they always infantilize the characters in such updates. How uncool was yang in the enhanced FF4 on ds? -.-

    1. I like the dragon quest that has actually 3d battle style and not 2d hence DQ 9. I loved that version and put almost 100 hours not to mention the multiplayer co op was Fucking awesome. They should do the same for DQ 10.

  3. *says in zombie voice* games games games gimme gimme gimme!!!! I seriously hope they bring this to the states. Then all I will have to do is wait for 7 and 8 ports.

  4. With Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 2 [Professional] coming over, it’s nice to see more Dragon Quest support showing up for the Wii. Hopefully this will lead to other JRPG developers realizing that the dedicated gaming audience will always be on Nintendo systems.
