Despite all the recent ‘doom and gloom’ articles regarding Nintendo many will be surprised to hear that eight of the best-selling games of August 2011 were on Nintendo consoles. Three of the games featured in the top ten; The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, Just Dance and Just Dance Summer Party are exclusive to Nintendo platforms.

03. Call of Duty: Black Ops (360, PS3, NDS, Wii, PC)** Activision Blizzard
04. Phineas and Ferb: Across the 2nd (NDS, Wii, PS3) Disney Interactive Studios
05. Cars 2 (NDS, Wii, 360, PS3, PC) Disney Interactive Studios
06. Just Dance Summer Party (Wii) Ubisoft
07. Just Dance 2 (Wii) Ubisoft
08. Lego Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game (Wii, 360, NDS, PS3, 3DS, PSP, PC) Disney Interactive Studios
09. The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D (3DS) Nintendo
10. Zumba Fitness: Join the Party (Wii, 360, PS3) Majesco
And those were great games
You can’t really count games that are available on all other platforms though, because then it’s just the game, not nintendo specific…

Well, it does say that the Nintendo systems (Wii version in this case) were on top.
Well even in that case Nintendo have exclusive rights on like 4 spots and NO other system even has 1 spot exclusively.

Sony sucks my ass! 7/10 of the best selling games were on PS3, so obviously PS3 is best. (That was sarcasm, but over all, PS3 games on that list sold more than Nintendo games. Without Deus Ex and NCAA Football, Nintendo would have had more game sales. )

That’s good that mostly 3rd party titles made the list. Interesting to see a few Nintendo exclusives in the list and not any Sony/Microsoft exclusives in there.

this doesnt mean that nintendo beat others. the other games are with other platforms. show some REAL numbers differentiating sales of one platform from another when it comes to these games. this topic is misleading.

Well look at UK figures, Zumba was number 1 for 16 weeks in a row and lost but took it back now.
I hate the way NA has Shooting and good games, in Japan its full of adventures and in England we have to live with Zumba as number 1, Not to mention just dance and its 2 is on the top 4 also, ITS stupid.
Games that “appeared on nintendo platforms” shouldnt include games like call of duty which see very low sales numbers on nintendo platforms.
