Nintendo has released a new commercial showing off The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword for this years Golden Joystick Awards. The footage is a mix of new and previously seen Skyward Sword footage, but it’s well worth a watch. The game is out November 18th in Europe and November 20th in North America.

Well Aonuma has confirmed that is a prequel to OoT, wehich itself ahs been confirmed as the current start of the series, so timeline theorist who differ aere just nuts.
Well, it’s the earliest in released history. Minish Cap does speak of the earliest point with a Link, the Hero of Man, and it’s clarified in the opening of SS that war over the “Golden Power” isn’t a new thing, so there is the potential for some other “Pre-OoT history” games. Since there was a Wind Waker type relocation of the human population, there could be a kingdom that preceded the Hyrule of OoT.
BTW: If your response to that is “only games developed by Nintendo are canon,” the official 25th anniversary video would beg to differ.
