Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot claims that the company’s recently announced Drawsome tablet for the Wii ‘will help test the market’ for the Wii U before Nintendo’s next console hits stores sometime after April 2012.
“What’s extremely interesting is it’s also a way for us to test the market for the Wii U, as the products we create for [Drawsome] will be helping us to understand what the problems are going to be for consumers,” he said. “So it’s a way to get into the tablet process for a console that is in homes.”
Very clever, Nintendo. Especially with the name.
wasn’t this ubi’s idea
Nintendo didn’t make this. Ubisoft did.
Please lern to read
*learn
I love the irony in the way you spelt learn wrong when asking the other quy to read.
Cramer fail
i love how you spelled guy with a “q” (quy)
I think it was on curpose.
But does it play Zelda on my controller?…it’s ubisoft…I’m scared
WHAT? LOL, this is not even close to a Wii U Tablet!
The point is to promote WiiU with Wii now casual gamers and Ubisoft Casual games will allow huge sales.
BEST NAME EVER
I AGREE ENTIRELY
looks like a combination of windows paint and draw to life
You know Ubisoft, your not advertising this nearly as much as Nintendo will and it doesn’t do the same things that Wii U will do. I don’t think this will show anything to be honest.
Ummmm this is the exact same thing as the popular UDraw Tablet for Wii.

I was just thinking the same thing.
NU UH THIS IS DRAWSOME TABLET, YA HEAR MEH!? DRAWSOME!!!
haha jk
I feel sad, as THQ needs more moneyz right now, not Ubisoft ripping them off. I say, instead of making a new tablet, just hop on the bandwagon and make use of the existing one. Because, I am not buying two wii tablets!
Sounds ridiculus, why would I buy that when I can wait a few months until the wiiU comes out?
its not for you, its aimed at the casual market to see how they respond to a tablet, its actually helping the wiis casual crowed to aknowledge or persuade them into getting the WiiU. its actually a good thing for nintendo… if the casual market responds well to it that is. it could also hurt them.
udraw is better :P
There’s already the Udraw tablet. I guess developers are impatient to work on the new tablet, though that looks nothing like the Wii U’s controller or the Wii remote add-on.
GREAT. Now when the Wii U comes out, expect wannabe’s to confuse it with the Drawsome.
Plus, how will it test the Wii U’s marketing? U is a console. Drawsome is an add-on. U has so much ballin’ awesome things on it. Drawsome…ehh, two games.
yeah this thing don’t have buttons so how the hell does this test anything
Take a closer look. It’s clearly connected to a Wii remote, which has buttons. *facepalm*
So wait, if this periphal doesn’t succeed, then Ubi will give up on the Wii U? ‘
Who the heck is gonna want to buy this!?
Not many people considering there’s already the Udraw tablet for the Wii.
man ubisoft is some dumb fucks i tell you
Its called greed, and this thing won’t even come close to reaching the same market as the WiiU.
Damn this looks really good and creative!
Okay, that’s a theory. But here’s the problem in practice:
It’s a 3rd-Party peripheral made for one creativity toolbox!
You can’t gauge interest in the Wii U based on this, especially since potential customers may hold out for Wii U’s controller instead.
Lame. =_=
Between this, the Wii U and the UDraw tablet, I just want to know when I will get my sequel to Mario Paint. This is all I want really, Mario Paint Wii (U).
