Nintendo 3DS: Capcom Still Debating Whether To Release Monster Hunter Tri G In The West

Capcom is still undecided whether they will release Monster Hunter Tri G for the Nintendo 3DS in the West. Capcom told investors at a recent questions and answer session that they still haven’t made a decision whether or not they will bring Monster Hunter Tri G to North America and Europe.

Q What are your overseas plans for “Monster Hunter 3 (Tri) G”?
A Our stance for the overseas distribution of this title is the same as for the entire “Monster Hunter” series. We are selling the preceding title “Monster Hunter Tri” overseas so we will consider launching this title overseas, too. But no decision has been reached yet.

    1. c’mon its ownly NoA that are rubbish not all of nintendo – here in the uk we have all those games coming, and xenoblade is grrrrreat!

      1. Well now we are getting at least Xenoblade, and Pandora’s Tower sucks so all that we really need is The Last Story, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see it released in North America…

  2. Does capcom not pay any attention to their sales department?? The last 3 MH Freedom/Portable what ever they want to call them were the best selling titles on the psp, and still are. If they don’t release them in the west the may as well throw shit ton of money in a pile and burn it. Because the withholding of the series from the west is just a giant middle finger saying we don’t care about our supporters (the few left that there are.) The only reason I don’t want capcom to commit suicide like this is the RE series, even if 5 sucked huge balls, they seem to be trying with Revelations and if they can learn from 5 that sunlight and hordes of zombies isn’t scary then maybe 6 will be good too. Other than these two series fuck capcom. They have already killed Megaman so there isn’t anything else worth any money to save.

  3. Seriously? Why would they not jump at the chance to have the game release here. WTH. If they start denying us these awesome games I’m probably going to ignore all other Capcom games. The Monster Hunter series is the best one so far and I have been praying/hoping that they will release these ones here. I’d jump on the chance to pre-order and play them. As would around 50 people that I know off hand. If they are worried about it not being a good sell here well, really, they must be blind or something. CAPCOM – Please bring over those awesome games!

It’s like Xenoblade Chronicles – Why won’t Nintendo of America allow that one here either!

      1. Did you have to hack it or something? How did you get it? I live in Canada and according from what I read – there’s that whole can’t play from another country thing.

        1. if your wii is the first edition of wii then it isn’t region locked – like mind i can play jap games just don’t undrstand them

    1. Well now we have Xenoblade on it’s way, lets hope that Capcom can take the message of GIVE US MONSTER HUNTER DAMNIT, it sells well enough in Japan that they could take a loss on the NA version and it wouldn’t really cut into their profits on the game overall…

  4. I don’t blame them. Over here it’s such a seldom known series, there was no one for me to play multiplayer with on the PSP. But I think I’d rather buy Monster Hunter 4 anyway.

  5. I’m going to hope and believe that Capcom makes the right decision here. Though the japanese game hasn’t even been released yet, so I don’t expect Capcom to say anything until then.

  10. Capcom, with Monster Hunter Tri, you expanded the series fan base to include a whole new faction of gamers. The is a massive newdemand demand for Monster Hunter in the Nintendo world; we want this game and Monster Hunter 4 to be released outside of Japan. Not to mention, considering Monster Hunter Tri sold 1.1 million copies in Japan alone by Dec12, 2009, imagine the profit you could make with Tri G as a follow up in not just Japan, but Europe, North America, and Australia as well!

  11. Why do you hate us here in UK? Monster hunter is my all time favourite game! I’ve done everythin possible on freedom unite! (playing for well over 300+ hours) I loved monster hunter tri, the switch axe became my favourite weapon! I even imported monster hunter portable 3rd, tho do you know how hard it is to enjoy a game when you can’t read ANY of it!

PLEASE CAPCOM BRING ALL NEW MONSTER HUNTER GAMES (like portable 3rd and the HD one as well and tri 3G) TO THE UK! Or at least make them in English so I can import them and still play it!

    An upset loyal fan!

I have a 3ds (which I love), I want the Monster Hunter games for ALL systems in the west, because everyone who is a fan of this series in the west deserves to play. I have 3 other friends and we like playing Monster Hunter together, I would love to sit at any free wi-fi spot and play as a group, as would they. Capcom, come on, your missing out on sales, you would only GAIN from this.
