Nintendo has officially released the new Nintendo 3DS system update which allows you to record ten minutes of 3D video.To get the latest firmware update you’ll need to go to system settings and then select system update and the update will start to download.
Edit: Here’s a list of the features that should be included in the update:
1. 3D Video, and 3D Stop Motion animation videos.
2. QR code functionality will be improved
3. Transfer game files between Nintendo 3DS systems
4. New puzzles and extra Find Mii Dungeon
5. eShop will be expanded as well, You’ll soon have access to game demos (for both downloadable games and retail games)
6. You’ll be able to download software while your system is in Sleep Mode
7. The eShop will also support Download Codes (which will be used primarily for special promotions) and will enable users to save payment information to their system if they so so desire
8. The update will add a new application to your system’s Home Menu: ”Nintendo Zone” active when you’re at a Nintendo 3DS hotspot location. Provides free access to exclusive content, streaming 3D videos (such as gametrailers, tv ads) trivia games, and retail promotions

Wow that sounded really bad now reading it XD. But yeah the 3DS is well worth it one of the best online mulitiplayer is here Mario Kart 7 and the games that come out next year along with the games that have come out will be grand! Super Mario 3D Land is amazing, Ocarina of Time needs no introduction, Resident Evil Mercenaries is fun like no other with a friend.
Well if you like nintendo games and its concept then go ahead. Its relativly cheap now so if you dont have a DS in general it will be even better to buy as it also plays DS games (just not in 3D). Or you could wait till a 2nd gen 3DS comes out (comon this is Nintendo, look at the DS!). The main reason im buying a 3DS is because I know the main Pokemon games are going to be on it eventualy but im staying for the other games it has to offer plus the 3D video recording is awesome. If you like sony products and PSVitas concept then go for it as a priority. If you have to cash to burn then there isnt any shame in having both handhelds Like I have a DSi and PSP. The final decsion is up to you so do what you want.

Pues no he tenido ningún problema, en Honduras, pude entrar a la eShop y descargar los juegos del programa de embajadores sin problema. Claro está, en el sistema y la eShop puse que vivo en los EUA. También use una tarjeta de prepago sin problemas y descargué juegos, no sé si funcionan las tarjetas de crédito pero no veo por qué no…

actually, (like i said in ambassaror game article post) you can get ambassador games on a non ambassador 3ds. put the non-ambassadors sd card into the ambassadors 3ds then redownload the ambassaror games to that sd card. then take the non-ambassadors sd card out of the ambassadors 3ds and insert it back into the non-ambassadors 3ds. to redownload, go to e-shop, then settings, then my downloads. you can redownload it frum there. kinda like copying files. DANGER THIS IS TECHNICALLY ILLEGAL LIKE FILESHARING SO DONT GO RATTING ALL OF THIS CRAP TO NINTENDO

Probably would have gotten it if you bothered to access the eShop last night. Since I read reports of the eShop going down (meaning no one could access it), that meant the update was coming. Then I accessed the menu to update the system and got the update later last night.
This update is AMAZING! it has brought new life to my 3DS :D now i get to get some exercise again! (I just used up all 300 of my play coins D: )

Yeah, that happened to me once, but I tried again a while later and it worked. So I suggest you try again later.
Check your connection; maybe your router lost connection. Also, keep in mind that a lot of people are updating the system now and will cause heavy traffic on Nintendo servers. Slow connections and even errors might occur. If you’re not in a hurry to update, you could try tomorrow or something.
The eShop is under maintenance anyways, so you can’t access it now. If this was a surprise update, then maybe they’ll have demos for the eShop.
Does anyone else notice the ghosting images when i the 3ds is in 3d mode? I notice it when playing OoT and MK7. Does it bother anyone else?

Might be your eyes, or a glare on the screen.
Yay it also happens with me, I thought it was normal…
the 3d works by sending a diffrent picture to each eye. in an attempt to line then up, your eyes put one in front of the other, making it 3d. if you tilt the 3ds, it disalines [ dis-aligns?] the images, making two images on the screen. to prevent this from happening, hold the screen level with your eyes and about a foot in front of them. its com-letely normal if you see ghost images. just hold it at the right angle
I would start by adjusting the 3D depth to see if that gets rid of them ( everyone’s eyes are a little different, just because you may need 3D set lower, doesn’t mean it reduces your 3D experience)
Plan B, try blinking. I have “Floaters” that affect my 3D, as well as a dark spot in my vision… Blinking helps get rid of it.
Plan C… Hell, IDK. Google it. :)

The most likely reason why you’re seeing ghost images is because you don’t have the 3d screen and a proper angle/position.
You have to center the 3DS first, and then if you still see it, try rotating the 3DS horizontally until you get it right
I do sometimes in OoT, but not in any of the other games i’ve played, it’s seperate from the double image you get if you don’t position the 3DS properly right?
Yeah I mean it’s not a constant thing. Just like once in a while it’ll “ghost” on me. Ususally when the image is placed in front a black screen or something. Then I see double.

LOL i have the wii strap attached to one of the hiker hooks ( watever you call em )and to the 3DS so i never lose drop or get robed of it (pick pocket) as for a case to protect it . . . i have none i just keep it in its onw pocket

How big can the files be?
For those of you who are interested here are a few tips to help improve your video capture.
1. take photos in sunny or bright light. sometimes indoor lighting will not work.
2. Try to keep the light to your back. Light that faces the camera creates a silhouette effect. great for capturing forms but not color or surface texture.
3. Never use the night time filter. Obviously taking pictures at night would not be advised.
4. Tuck your elbows. Seriously, if you hold your camera tightly to your body it will greatly reduce the amount of motion blur . So elbows in and relax your shoulders.
The 3ds camera is pretty awful but if you follow some of these tips it should really help improve the way the quality comes out. Hope this helps.
