  1. Absolutely brilliant line up. Shame about no Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga as I’ve always wanted to play that, but unlike the NES games, there is not one of them that I don’t want play. Minish Cap FTW

    1. Thank you Nintendo for Minish Cap! I would have personally replaced Mario Vs. DK with Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga. Nothing against Mario Vs. DK as it was a pretty good game, but I would have loved to have Mario & Luigi instead.

    2. I was hoping for the Advance Wars games, Metroid Zero Mission, and Mother 1+2 / Mother 3, but it is still not a bad lineup.

    1. I am surprised at Mario Kart. Nintendo is known for pacing releases and never releasing something that might conflict with sales on a current release. Seeing as MK7 just came out, I would not have thought they would put out Super Circuit on the basis it could cannibalize sales.

      1. Unlikely, the reason being is when you put it in this logic:

Did releasing the legend of zelda affect the sales of OOT3D

It seems like it might, but due to the exclusiveness, retro-ness and availability, it will have as much affect on sales as throwing a rock at a door.

coincidently, I have been playing Rock of ages..

  2. Those are some very awesome games and some of them I don’t even own on the GBA but alas I don’t have a 3DS.

Enjoy your games though if you are part of the Ambassador Program. Some of them are real gems.

  3. Finally we have a list :D
Those are some awesome games and I only own 3 of them, so that’s really good!
And it’s just amazing that they even put a Fire Emblem game in there!

            1. We won’t. If they remake the Hoenn games, it’ll will be Ruby and Sapphire. Look at the pattern for the previous remakes.
              FireRed & LeafGreen (Not Yellow)
              HeartGold & SoulSilver (Not Crystal)

  4. That list is immense!! Epic – Fire Emblem, Minish Cap! What’s the price cut? I’m way out of the new atm. Just bought the white/Mario 3D Land bundle… does that count?

    1. Sorry but you would’ve had to have bought the 3DS before 12th August, I think that was the date you had to register your system by.

    2. Unfortunately the new systems will not be getting this, at least for now according to Nintendo. The GBA games are “exclusive” for the people who bought the 3DS early when it was at full price.

I wish they would change their minds and gave us Ambassadors the games for free, but allowing the newcomers to buy them on the eShop…

      1. Ah, that’s a shame. Would have bought it earlier but… (and this does sound incredibly lame) I was waiting for the white one… goes with my DS and Wii. (and my PSP – but shhh, don’t utter those words here!) Oh well.

    1. I never had a Gameboy advance because I was a true N fan still playing with the orignal Gameboy and the Gameboy Color

  5. i have a question. when will the people who didnt purchase the 3DS before the price cut get the chance to BUY one of these games?

    1. It was stated a while ago that they had no plans to release the GBA games for purchase (unlike the first batch of NES games). However that doesn’t mean no, just not in the near future. There is still a chance later the could come.

    2. I think that Nintendo said these are exclusive to the Nintendo Ambassadors. Although I dont think that they will forever only be for the Nintendo Ambassadors.

    3. These are supposedly Nintendo Ambassador exclusives. They might release other GBA games for purchase in the future, which would explain the lack of any Pokemon game, but for the time being, these are only for Ambassadors.

    1. Whaaat!? These set of games is incredible!
Mario Kart and F-Zero are the best unrealistic racing series’ that exist.
Not to mention that Minish Cap is a great game and the best handheld Zelda game there is. Oh, and Fire Emblem is an amazing series, and this was the first one I got and me and many of my friends enjoyed it.

    2. Not that it is a bad list of games, but had I known, I probably would have opted to wait and get it for the cheaper price and not gotten the games. $100 is worth a little more to me than 20 old NES and GBA games.

The damage is done and I am glad I am getting the games, but all-in-all I would have waited, given the chance.

      1. Seeing as you bought it day one without knowing about the price cut, you wouldn’t be complaining if the price was never dropped and would have bought it regardless.

  6. The fact they included the worst GBA Fire Emblem game (Which is still awesome) tells me they’ve got something under wraps concerning Blazing Sword…

    1. Sacred stones is hardly the worst of the GBA ones. Of all the games, it is one of the few that have brought massive improvements to the gameplay and story. Some dislike these improvements, some enjoy them.
And they probably wont do anything concerning Blazing Sword until they remake the remaining japanese games. Then hopefully they will release one game with FE6&7.

      1. He meant the worst of the GBA Fire Emblem games.

The list is good. Would’ve definitely liked a Pokemon title and/or Superstar Saga in place of F-Zero and Yoshi. More of an RPG presence in the Ambassador titles as a whole would’ve been great.

      1. Sacred Stones was a great game. The map mechanics were awesome and the choice of class changing was nice. I even preferred the story over Blazing Sword’s story.

  7. WATH THE HELL!! I WAS TOTALLY IN HOPE THAT MARIO & LUIGI SUPER SAGA WAS GOING TO BE ON THE TEN GAMES,NINTENDO SHOULD PUT THAT GAME!

    1. rage much? its a great game, I am a proud owner of it, but you should remember thats like shooting a rocket at the moon and hoping the moon explodes, you should be happy for minish cap, mario kart, f zero, M V DK, metroid, fire emblem, OMG WARIO LAND 4 IS THERE, I DIDNT KNOW IT EXISTED!!!!

  9. FINALLY FUCK YEAH SOME GREAT GBA GAMES WITH THE BEST RETAIL VALUE WHEN I WAS YOUNG I COULDNT STOP TRADING IN KIRBY&THE AMAZING MIRROR AS WELL AS MINISH CAP THEY WERE JUST SO GREAT I COULDNT STOP COMING BACK FOR THEM TO ENJOY THEM OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND NOW I CAN FINALLY PLAY YOSHIS ISLAND AND THE BEST PART OF ALL WE GET 10 GAMES BEFORE CHRISTMAS ^_^ :D

  10. Well, this is pretty decent I guess.

Although I already have Minish Cap and am somewhat disappointed at the lack of Pokémon…

  11. As one of the few people who didn’t think highly of Minish Cap or Kirby and the Amazing Mirror, I might give those a pass. I’ll think about it.

But Wario Land 4 has always been one of my favorite platformers and I never did finish Fire Emblem Sacred Stones so yeah I’d say this selection just raped the memory on my SD card. Well played Nintendo, well played.

  12. :( there’s no mario world or smb3 :( anyway most of them are epic some of them i have just played them as emulator roms (sorry i never had a GBA)

  13. Brilliant selection of games there. Really looking forward to playing Minish Cap, it’s the only Zelda games I haven’t played yet. I hear it’s really good.

  14. Yay! I can’t wait, but of course I found a copy of minish cap a week ago and bought it, oh well, no problem in having two. This friday can’t come soon enough

  16. Nothing like a little motivation to kill your last exam. Can’t wait. Would have loved to see some Earthbound, Superstar Saga, or Golden Sun in there, but these top the NES games tenfold. Thank you, Nintendo!

      1. These games probably weren’t included because Golden Sun isn’t really such a well known game.
And not to mention that The Sealed Sword is Japanese and that it and Blazing Sword sold far less than The Sacred Stones due to the games rising popularity in the west.

  17. OMG awesome games! Cannot wait to play Minish Cap, it was the first Zelda game i ever played and i haven’t been able to play it since i was 7. <3333

    Thank you so much Nintendo!

  18. I wish I had bought it at release JUST for Minish Cap…I loved that game and was hoping it would be available to download. Seeing it on this list really dissapoints me. If only I had had the money to buy it back then…

But oh well, congrats to all of you who did buy it at release! You definitley deserve it.

  20. MINISH CAP AND FIRE EMBLEM BITCHES!!!

That is one hot line up. Now all the people who were whining over the lack of these games (a lot of early adopters) will have to find to something else to bitch about. For the record, I bought my system on day 1.
