An attendee from the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas has managed to capture some video footage of the fabled ‘Tokyo Street Demo’ for Wii U. The demo was originally shown off to attendees at E3 but unfortunately no media footage surfaced online for the panoramic demo. Could it be pre-rendered footage?

the PS2 was weaker than the gamecube, also if you paid attention, the weaker systems have always outsold the more powerful systems *except maybe for the PS1.
the PS1 outsold the N64 because it was easier to develop for and used CD-roms. but the whole thing is debatable and mostly user preference because some companies could just really work a system much better than others.
*technically though, the specs of the PS1 were better than the N64, but, it had limited graphical output thus negating the advantages making it look weaker in comparison. but frankly, like i said earlier, it’s user preference.
there’s no doubt the DVD feature did help sell the system and is what helped take out the Dreamcast.
also something to think about, when you look at the consoles through the game library, the popular systems have a bunch shovelware and the least popular systems have very little.

Too bad you need your eyes checked. The graphics before you on the video above are far superior to the Xbox. Xbox has 720p while Wii U has 1080(a.k.a the best possible graphics you can get). It is next gen. The origional wii did not come in on HD and this one does….so what is it about “Next Gen” that you dont get. All it means is the new system far outmatches the old. Thats EXACLTY what it does. As great as the Wii was, this consol is even better….and much better than the Xbox. Even the PS3 is better than crappy Microsoft. WII U FTW! :D

The Tokyo demo is a Panoramic Video of Tokyo.
Its an actual footage from a panoramic camera on a car’s roof. It’s not a graphics demo, neither pre-rendered or real-time, but it is interactive (controller point if view).
The Zelda demo is real-time graphics, allegedly 720p win no AA.

Okay, now whenever those Sony fanboys come over and say the same things, them I’ll actually give a second look. But, I mean, c’mon, stating that of ALL THINGS, the XBOX 360 is better than Nintendo’s next-generation console!? What, what exactly is it that makes it better? The online that you have to pay for? The one real AAA exclusive? The red ring of death? Or possibly, since the fanboyz ARE talking graphics here, I do recall that the PS3 still is a fair bit more powerful than the 360, and it’s already been confirmed that the U will be quite a bit more powerful than the PS3.

Nintendo hasn’t released the specs on the WiiU yet so anything anyone says about the graphical capabilities is pure speculation. If you buy and play game only for graphics then your not a true gamer, you’re a douche calling yourself a gamer. There’s also speculation that Microsoft is ditching the console game and going into cloud gaming

Oh my God those XB and PS fanboys are SO MAD :D If Wii beat their asses, now with Wii U they´re so over. I like the PS3/XB360 but now Ninty is giong to have those multiconsole games plus their ageless franchises. This is great.

What I’m really waiting for is a drop of hope that Hideo Kojima the god of the Metal Gear franchise will be bringin AT LEAST Metal Gear Solid Collection to the Wii U. I don’t care if the game dosent use the touchscreen, I just want it, and maybe later the 4th one and 5th xD and soul calibur 5 with LINK frrom the E3 demo!!!! :D
Soul Caliber 2 for the GC was my favorite, because Link and his bajillion weapons were in it. :D

It’s hard to say that it’s pre-rendered because the controller can also interact with the surroundings of the game much like the Zelda HD experience.
Anyone remember the Resident Evil Revelations pictures and the tech demo? Everyone said it was pre-rendered and that the 3DS wasn’t capable of those graphics, yet the actual game looks much better than it did back then now.

Doesn’t look pre-rendered to me. That’s a lot of GPU horsepower to push those kinds of visuals.
It would have to be rendered in real time to be streamed to the U-Pad and to move along where you move.
