Nomura Teases A “Surprise” During Kingdom Hearts 3D’s End Credits

Kingdom Hearts series director, Tetsuya Nomura, has revealed in the latest edition of Nintendo Power that Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance will have a “surprise” at the end of the game. Nomura urges Nintendo 3DS gamers to refrain from turning off their consoles during the ending credits, otherwise they will miss the aforementioned surprise.

“For starters, there’s going to be some sort of a “surprise” during the end credits of the game. Nomura shares: “This is the first time we’re doing this, but there’s a surprise during the end credits. So even when the credits start to roll, don’t put down your N3DS, and don’t let your guard down!”

        1. Pie?

          Pie = (Some random number)

          or

          Food pie.

If your saying the food pie it’s possibly a lie…

But the cake is a lie however :)

    1. Doubt it. Personally i think it’s a trailer or spoiler for KH 3 like they have shown spoilers for previous games in the final mix versions.

      1. “This is the first time we’re doing this, but there’s a surprise during the end credits.”
If they have already shown spoilers before, then that is unlikely. It’s something they’ve never done before.

    1. True.

Like other M… there was an after part of the story after the story ended… another boss battle and some other bit of story.

  1. ride a 10 speed everywhere guy

if ur not gana tell me what day the wii u will launch then who cares i hate kindomehearts anyway

  2. If it’s something like Kingdom Hearts 3, then it’ll be on the Wii U or the 3DS since KH 3D is on a Nintendo console.

  3. “Don’t let your guard down”… To me, it looks like a “bonus” boss. This happened with me when I was playing RE4 during a cutscene and I left my control a few inches away from me during those interactive scenes. After that day, I’ve learnt my lesson >_> Thanks for noticing us before, Nomura!

    1. HELLO!

      It’s launching between E3 2012 and December.

It said that so many times on this blog before -_-

It’s just a rumor but Nintendo confirmed after E3 2012 and even the final design will come at E3 2012.

No Wii U for May ^_^

      1. It’s just a difference of one month, oh well. I guess Nintendo’s Scandinavian website (where the info apparently comes from) got it wrong, not me. I’m just the messenger, so uh, don’t kill me XD

            1. For story 1 WTF!

It’s been said that the Wii U is 50% more powerful then PS3/360 and that source came from Sega and nintendo!

              1. Same reaction here. Gearbox also said that Aliens: Colonial Marines has higher textures on the Wii U compared to PS3/360.

                1. Also with Ghost Recon online.

They made it a PC and Wii U exclusive.

With it Wii U and PC only it means those two consoles should be more powerful then PS3/Xbox other wise it would be on those consoles.

So two obvious points we’ve made with Ghost Recon online is Wii U and PC only maybe because it’s powerful enough and the part where Sega, Nintendo and gearbox said wii u is 50% more powerful and gearbox said Aliens has better texture resolution on Wii U then PS3/Xbox.

                  3 points i ment! ^_^

                2. Also with the rumor of the next Xbox having avatar graphics is bull because avatar is a movie not a game.

Movie graphics can be so much better then game because movie graphics are redored through long times not processed quickly at 60FPS.

Movie CGI graphics > Video game graphics

                  Always.

                  1. Who’s the dumbass that said the next Xbox would have Avatar graphics? Lol, some desperate fanboy hoping the next Xbox will be 1 million times better than everything XD

                    1. http://www.slashgear.com/amd-says-xbox-720-to-have-graphics-with-avatar-levels-of-detail-18165713/

AMD admitted the next xbox will have avatar like graphics… they must be dreaming that it’s happening so soon.

Video game graphics still has a massive long way to have avatar graphics… because movies have much better graphics then consoles, (Avatar has the best CGI i’ve seen in any movie so far) it would take a dream to believe it right now.

                    2. @Soap If this is true (which it probably isn’t), the price of the next Xbox will be through the roof and no one would buy it XD. Microsoft and Sony’s best bet for PS4/720 is to improve what they already have (PS3/360) just enough to please people and still be next gen, maybe just a little more powerful than Wii U. Otherwise, their digging their own graves if they try to make a big technological leap like having support for 4K/8K TV’s.

        1. Ohh….

Sorry it’s just because this article is about Kingdom hearts 3D, and he possibly forgot to add the D.

Anyways… 3 has not been announced it’s release date.

  4. YESH. it could be an after scene, possibly a boss battle.

Quite a lot of games have an after credits part.

Other M had an extra boss battle and some extra scenes.

COD MW has an extra mission on the jet.

Or simply some games give you a new bonus with a harder mode like with all of the prime series ^_^

But with “don’t keep your guard down” i suspect an extra boss battle.

    1. How is this a waste of time?

It’s called MY NINTENDO NEWS for a reason.

BTW: Sickr is getting bored as theres not much big news recently.

    2. The time you spend typing is a waste of time.
You’re dumbass comment is a waste of thought.
Your post wastes everyone’s time who read it.
You made me waste my time replying in detail what a waste of time your post and my response is.

    3. Just shut your trap, Prunedo. Do you seriously take pleasure being a troll on the internet, where you can act tough and almighty in the comfort of your own parents’ home? Get a life, a job and stop being such a shit.

  7. Please be a trailer for KH3, I want to see a trailer for it so bad, and I want it to be on the Wii U and PS3 (since I know SE probably won’t make KH3 an exclusive)…But I’d be happy to if it is a Wii U exclusive:).

    1. You gave me another thing the surprise could be :)

Never really thought about a trailer after the credits.

But i don’t really think KH3 will be complete enough for a trailer :/

  8. Some news like this reminds me of what sometimes happens at the end of some movies.

Like Pirates of the Caribbean 3… it had an scene after the credits but i just wanted to stay through the credits ^_^

  10. If I had to guess, either it’s Sora as a playable character in the new SSB or it’s a reveal trailer for Kingdom Hearts 3 with the official announcement of a WiiU version.
Either way, it’d be awesome news!

  12. Ive played kingdom hearts 358/2 days, and i would really like to say i enjoyed it …. But it was sooo boring that i got rid of it.

There is a good chance that i will buy this one, and attempt to “get into” the series though.
