Christian from Capuchino Designs has rather kindly send me these Photoshop mock-ups of the North American box-arts for the recently announced Pokemon Black & White 2. Nintendo of America confirmed last night that Pokemon Black & White 2 will be heading to the United States, as we all expected. Sadly the release date has yet to be confirmed.
The real box art will be a lot cooler
The real ones will look have the Pokémon logo, with “Black/White Version 2” in the same style as in Japan
IF any other company like CAPCOM did DLC like this to extend a game barely a year old moron would riot but since pokemon/Nintendo fans are children its okay dokey that and they get a free pass to get away with this greedy tactic.

Actually the mascots got switched in this game. Black Kyrem is the mascot for Black 2 and White Kyrem is the mascot of White 2

In the first one I think the mixed up version had something to do with the main bad guy, not you, because he wanted to be a hero and in Black for example, obtained the legendary that actually was black.

Each game mascot represented their version.
Black Mascot on the White game, and the White Mascot on the Black game made no sense to me.

well, they made it on DS because the first ones were, but nothing to worry about because when or if Gray version comes out it will be on 3DS. even if it doesn’t come out, theres still the ruby and saphire remakes

Not really since the hero got the dragon under his command in the sequel it makes sense.
Fun little thing, there’s a theory that in this game, you play as N, which explains why Black2 has Zek, and White 2 has Reshiram. Still not clear? Well, in Black(2011) you got Reshiram, N got Zekrom, in White(2011) you got Zekrom, and N got Reshiram. Now, in White 2, there’s Reshiram, and Black 2, Zekrom.

I’m kind of glad they switched the mascots. Now I can have both mascots. (even if one of them is some genetic mutation) Glad I got Reshiram in his original game.. it looks ugly with Kyurem mixed in Reshi.

I’m assuming Kyurem will stay Dragon/Ice, but the black one will have the move Freeze Shock and the white one will have the move Ice Burn. These moves exist in the first Black/White but cannot be learned by anyone.

This is probably going to connect the missing pieces of Black/White, such as Keldeo, Meloetta, Genesect, and the moves Freeze Shock and Ice Burn. All of these technically existed in Black/White but were impossible to obtain without hacks.
To be honest, I was expecting a Pokemon Grey, and I think Black2/White2 is breaking a long kept tradition, but whatever, I’ll go with it.
They really need to kill off DS if they want 3DS sales in America. And it would make sense to have the sequel on the new system.

I don’t think people understand they’re reaming tradition either way. They made two Pokemon games for the same system, which is unheard of. I’be been trying to tell people for months now that this generation will be paced completely differently than previous ones, and turns out I was right.

Even if it is a mock up the representation is ok. In my book zerkom should have been the representative of pokemon black like groudon with ruby.

Since Kyurem is the shell left behind when the perfect being split into Zekrom and Reshiram, these ones must be the results of failed reunions with only one of the two. Each of those Kyurems is only half restored because of the last party’s absence.

1. Reshiram and Zekrom weren’t really merged with Kyurem. Kyurem is what happened after Zekrom and Reshiram stopped being merged with each other.
2. Reshiram is in Black version and Zekrom is in White version.

Actually, its interesting. This the 1st time they announce a sequel instead of 3rd instalment. I had black before so I’ll get white 2. I hope they change the locations & add even more exiting stuff :D

Black 2 has the Zekrom-Kyurem, so I kinda want to to complete the “collection”.

They should consider launching another pokemon ranger game, or a pokemon mystery dungeon game or even another mario RPG game like bowsers inside, nintendo doesnt have any ideas, why dont they do the remake of the pokemon ruby/sapphire/emerald? those ones kicked more ass than modern pokemon games these days… Geez

Looks pretty awesome. I’ll admit that I’m a huge Pokemon fan, and I honestly can’t wait for these games. I hope that this has better graphics and story than bw1. That would make it the best pokemon game ever.
