Ubisoft has told GamaSutra that the company plans to be the number one third party developer on Wii U when the system launches later this year. Ubisoft already has five titles planned for Wii U including Assassins Creed 3, Ghost Recon Online and a brand new Rabbids title.
“We have big plans for Wii U. Our intention is to be the number one third party on Wii U, just like we were on Kinect and 3DS.”
“We’ve always had a really close relationship with Nintendo so I’d ventur eto say that we did have an advantage in getting dev kits earlier than other people. I’m not saying we got them earlier than everyone, but I do think we got them early.”

I really can’t acgree with that Ubisoft was the best third party on the 3DS, but the Tom Clancy game was indeed the best launch title.

For Wii U, it may be similar. For instance, Assassins Creed III has been confirmed for Wii U, although Resident Evil 6 hasn’t. Ubisoft seems to be making their partnership with Nintendo well known in advance. I’m guessing Capcom got dev-kits quite early as well.

Did you play Raving Rabbids games? they are really really funny and its very good game if you play with your friend or girlfriend. I really really like Rabbids but the best one its Raving Rabbids 2 World Tour =P

Ubisoft are cool, I could live without the Rabbids games though. Maybe have one as a playable character in a Rayman Origins sequel, that’d be neat.

I can’t really agree that they’re #1 on the 3DS, but it seems hard to disagree on the Wii U front. If we add Killer Freaks, then that would be 4 titles prepared for it, so I guess the last one would be a new Let’s Dance game or something. In fact, I’m excited for Assassin’s Creed 3 and Killer Freaks, but I’m also curious about Ghost Recon Online.
Aliens: Colonical Marines looks good, but I wish Gearbox would talk to 2K and release Borderlands 2 on the Wii U. A game with a menu system as that would be crazy with the new controller.
