NPD analyst Anita Frazier has revealed to IGN that Kid Icarus: Uprising for the Nintendo 3DS managed to sell over 135,000 copies during its first week on sale. Nintendo rather strangely neglected to issue a press release detailing their hardware and software sales in North America during March.
- Mario Party 9: 230,000+
- Kid Icarus: Uprising: 135,000+
- Mario Kart 7: 118,000+
- Super Mario 3D Land: 100,000
- Nintendo 3DS consoles: 225,000 +
- Wii consoles: 175,000
I was hoping it would do better.
Well, That’s pretty good for the US, it’s nice to know I was one of those 135,000. I hope it reaches the 5 million mark that the others have.
dude its the first week ,, Mario Kart reach 5M something or whatever million it is for 3/4 months
135,000 in its first week in the U.S. alone?! This may very well be the third 3DS game to reach the 5 million mark!
wow it is a lot, Kid icarus Sold in a week more than what Mario K7 and others sold in a whole month, I’m glad because it is a very good game and it’s nice to play good games from nintendo besides Zelda and mario
That’s good. I love this game, I actually want it to be the first of a new Uprising series just for the brilliant character development. Some of the lines made me laugh out loud.
At first I wasn’t sure about this game, but with all those great scores it get in the reviews I bought it and I’m completely happy with it! It’s a top quality game wich it’s entertaining and the gameplay it’s awesome, the multiplayer addictive and as you say the dialogues are quite funny hehe.
It deserves to continue selling tons of units and surpass the 5 million mark and more =)

It says during March, it was only a week for kid icarus, i think it sold good, but could be better.
It would be great if they say something about kid icarus uprising 2 for WiiU

this is a great game better than the original but the controls need to be worked on and voice chat but i think the real reason it sold well is because well people wana shoot at other people
