Zelda Ocarina Of Time’s Overworld Remapped In A Link To The Past Style

MaJoRa, a member of the Zelda Fan Game Central community, has spectacularly managed to render the acclaimed over world of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time in the 2D top-down view that was seen in the critically acclaimed Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. The ambitious project has taken roughly two long years to complete.

“Not to say this project is over by a long shot, I am going to see how far I can take this. I feel like ending now is too soon, I will find a new way to step this up.” He is taking suggestions and constructive criticism about his work, more of which may be seen at the link below.

    1. It’s the default transparent color with 2D game development, that exact color value is made transparent when playing the game. Basically, nothing is there.

  1. OMG, that is amazing! This man has some serious talent. Very well done, combining probably the 2 best Zelda games like that. Amazing.

    Leave luck to heaven.

  2. I think theres a fan-made version of ocarina with link to the past graphics. I’d def buy it if nintendo released it on VC.

  3. anybody with any version of enterbrain´s RPG Maker (2k, 2k3, vx, xp) and the correct ripped chipset can do that. this isn´t so awesome…

    1. or even gamemaker for that matter. the only difficult thing i could think of would be the sprites but even then it should take too long considering how simplistic they are. the only thing i saw that wasn’t actually already in a link to the past was the deku tree. and thats it

  4. Someone else redid the entire game in 2D LTTP style, but he went off to fight in Iraq and hasn’t been heard of since (with the game incomplete).. this is nothing new or special move along people..

  5. my one suggestion is to have the houses face the same way as they originally did. i know it might not be possible though with tyhe progrogram your using. its amazing though
