Nintendo has announced that it’s bringing Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn’s Elincia to Fire Emblem: Awakening for the Nintendo 3DS in Japan on May 10th. Elincia, hails from Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn and Fire Emblem Path of Radiance. Fire Emblem: Awakening is heading to Europe later this year.
This is so nice. It’s the FIRST fire emblem game I will buy

Fire Emblem is one of the greatest turn based games out there. You can play the many iterations of it, because they are all great titles. But for those people here that ACTUALLY play the series, which game do you guys think is the best. The GBA titles were my favorite! FE:SS (Fire Emblem Sacred Stones) was the best one I played. So when I said it will be the first game I will buy, I meant for the 3DS.

I think Fire Emblem 7 is the best. Followed by 6, and then 8(ss) and 9(PoR) are tied in my opinion.
Ike was better than Roy. Roy was just a clone of Marth with fire added into his moves. Ike may have been slower, but he had an entirely different moveset and some of the best knockback in the entire game. I think it’s safe to say Ike wins.
Ike isn’t even close to sucking. get real or learn how to play the game!

@ Croxynd I understand. IKE is good! I did not know that you felt that way about him. He is a good character, but I just like Roy, so I’m showing favoritism. Not stating any truth. But I would not mind seeing more characters from the Fire Emblem franchise in the next iteration of Super Smash Bros.
I agree with more Fire Emblem characters. When I was announced I was hoping they would put Greil and/or the Black Knight in it too but that didn’t happen. I hear they’re going to be adding DLC after the game releases so maybe more FE characters could be added in that way?
I’d imagine Ephraim would be pretty interesting. There’s no characters in super smash with spears. I would say Seth, but I’d think he’d just kill everyone if my experience with sacred stones is any indicator of his skills
Ephraim could be interesting. I don’t think they would put Seth in. As much as I love him, he’s not a main character. Well I guess he is a main character, but not a “main” main character (like he’s not a Lord or member of a unique class like RD Ike’s Hero/Vanguard classes) He’s just another pre-promote Paladin (a great one, but still).
Also, I’m not really sure how the fact that he (Seth) is a horse mounted unit would work with having him playable in Smash Bros. I guess he’d probably be without the horse…
I like this. I hope Nintendo brings it to America I really like this series. Nintendo needs to promte it in the US more. Leave luck to heaven.
They should bring Ike to Fire Emblem Awakening too…
To whoever said Ike sucked in Smash Bros, you’re dumb. Sure he was slow, but his attacks were super powerful and launched very far. He can KO most characters when they only have like 60% damage ’cause his knock back is just that great. Also he’s actually useful (one of the best characters) in the two FE games he comes from (not that it’s related to Smash Bros, just saying).
Compared to Roy in Melee, all he was is a clone of Marth with fire in some of his attacks like his neutral B move. Also, he pretty much blows in FE6…
you speak the truth. people who say Ike sucks in ssbb don’t know how to play with him or the game at all. he’s a monster when used right.
Exactly! Ike used to be my “main” in SSBB. Though I’m not as good as him as I used to be anymore (Link and Falco became my “mains”) but I still recognize how dangerous a good Ike player can be.

sothe is like “meh”… but Black Knight w/o his helm, sounds more appealing than Zelgius with his Begnion armor
Ike was already added to the game, along with Micaiah, Roy, and some more I don’t know too well (I’m American, I don’t go out of my way to get the other games.)

dlc ike has not been confirmed as a playable character, spotpass ike is more likely… or both apparently since they have a spotpass marth and dlc marth i dont see why not for ike to i guess

Awesome! I loved Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn (actually I didn’t get why the second game’s ending was too open, but it’s okay). So we’re having Elincia and Ike coming for 3DS… Any chances this also will happen with Marth and Roy? I never played their FE games, so it must be a good opportunity to know a bit more about them, specially if they’re together with Ike and the others!
It really is worrying me that they haven’t said anything about a US release. I just hope by dear God that they mention it at E3.
