Smash Bros And Kirby’s Masahiro Sakurai Headlining This Year’s CEDEC

This years Computer Entertainment Developers Conference will be headlined by none other than Smash Bros and Kirby producer Masahiro Sakurai. Sakurai will deliver a speech on game design on August 20th. CEDEC wouldn’t share the topic of his speech, but expect plenty of insight into Sakurai’s development methodology.

  1. Good for him, maybe he could prove his gamd producing skills with, i duno, a couple of screens or gameplay footage

      1. I know, im just wishful thinking :p his games are amazing though, kirby is massively underrated, people just think its “gay” because hes pink. What a joke.

  2. i hate sakurai’s development method, in this day. its not a good idea for that. miyamoto sure as hell doesn’t do it! if he did nintendo would’ve been dead long ago.

sakurai’s style of “not even starting until the current title is 100% complete” is stupid. do you really have that little faith in your team you need to hold their hands until its done?

    1. He’s just a perfectionist, he wants to make the game the best it can be. Its why Smash Bros is so good.

        1. better that capcom 4 Street fighter or 2 Marvel vs Capcom in year? at least Smash Bros ironically give more enought time to practice with all the chraracthers.

        2. I dont need more than 1 smash bros every console. And with the inclusion of DLC’s tey could add more characters and stages in years after to keep its life cycle going

  3. So he will explain to the people the ‘Sakurai’s Perfectionism’ that is a Complement of the ‘Miyamoto’s walk, No Run’ or ‘Iwata’s Not lie to the customer’, that would be interesting if he explain about his most recent movements(like Kid Icarus or Smash Bros U/3D)
