EA Thinks Wii U Will Be Successful & Will Support It With Games At Launch

EA Games leader Patrick Soderlund was recently interviewed by Game Hunters. During the interview, Soderlund revealed that EA will be “backing the Wii U with a couple of titles for launch.” According to Soderlund, EA “will assess the Wii U as they do with any platform.” Soderlund hopes and thinks that Wii U will be successful.

We’re backing the Wii U with a couple of titles for launch. Obviously, what was announced at E3 was the (EA Sports) lineup. If you look at our Games label, we will assess the Wii U as we do with any platform. If it’s successful, we’ll be on it, and we absolutely hope it will be, and think it will be. If it is, we will appear on that platform will all the games that we deem need to be on that platform.”

              1. Um? Dafuq?! Retard its a hole new console in HD mothafucka! Now GTFO and crawl down that hole you came from!!

            1. I want you to go to your kitchen, open up a packet of orange kool aid on your lips, go to the nearest prison and yell at the top of you lungs that you are an orange flavoured motha fucka and say where you live.

        1. let me guess your some sony/microsoft fan boy i don’t mean any offense when i say this but your comments make you look like an uneducated retard (I’m not saying you are) if the wii u is just a wii with a new controller then the playstation 3 is just a playstation 2 with a bigger number on the end i’ll point out the differences of the wii and wii u for you
you 1) new controller with a touch screen 2) much, much better online system 3) HD graphics 4) kick ass miiverse where you can commune with any one you’ve played with through wii u.
ps2 and ps3 1) HD graphics 2) new controller that is no longer connected to machine 3) good online system.
and microsoft is pretty much the same
honestly why don’t you think before you type ignorant, close minded comments.

          ps2 ad ps3 1) HD graphics 2)

  1. “if it’s successful, we’ll be on it”

You havent changed a bit have you EA. whatever, tell us what the games are!

  2. I would love to have full support from all of EA’s awesome franchises on Wii U. It will be successful, so I guess we’ll be seeing a lot more of EA on the U. Leave luck to heaven.

      1. ea actually has a ton of awesome franchises. it’s activision that has all of the shitty overdone everything. seriously that kill everything they touch

  3. I like what I’m hearing …. I hope they re-port dead-space extraction for ps3 for the wii u … or maybe even make a dead space extraction 2 even though it was underrated on wii. If nintendo was smart also, they should collaborate with EA (bioware) n make a star fox game . I love what dat developer n what they bought to us in the industry so far.. star fox is a game dat needs to be overhauled, n bioware is a great option to do this besides retro imo ..

    1. That is wrong. Lexine is the only character alive. If you have heard about the DLC package for dead space 2 you will see the results of extraction, 3 years later Gabe and lex are married and lex is pregnant but the necromorph outbreak begins and at the end gabe saves lex but is injured severely and succombs to his wounds. So extraction 2? Not likely. Also Mcneal is dead from becoming a necroMorph. After lex kills him at the end credits, nice idea though but sadly, not possible. Though I read that some group of dudes had taken his body and examined it as it shows in the end thingy. So maybe a cameo apearance but that’s it.

    2. And are you fucking kidding? Bioware doing a starfox game? Fuck you must be on some good shit man because your braindead. Also don’t use the word “Dat” or the letter “N” to simulate “and” really man, you have no idea nintendo would likely work with a company there experienced with, not some company that brought us a shitty as testicle rap it up entry (Mass Effect 3)

And also AGAIN! Its stupid to report a game especially when the game sold bad in the first place.

  4. Hmmm. I find it odd, EA seems to be puting the print from the Marker Relics from Dead space on there logo. Dafuq? Are they marker heads?

  5. I would like to see a FULL The Sims simulator. PLEASE. Not some spin-off. I want maybe a beefed up The Sims 3 port. Utilizing the Wii U GamePad, of coarse.

  6. Lololol EA is dumb because they have not stole my idea yet.

    Sim Planet :3
You control a planet and stuff.

    Oh shit.

    1. Id buy. Make countries attack each other, but like USA vs Australia and make Australia win and make Kangaroos worldwide wildlife

  8. This is why you don’t freak out about the E3 line-up. People asked about EA supporting the Wii U, and they will at launch

    1. Ooo i forgot about Bulletstorm, fun as hell, definitley one of the best FPS ive played along with Bioshock 1

        1. Same here! Saw it for about £16, and just thought, sure why not. Fucking well fun. Loved being creative with kills

          1. Newsbots remind me of Waffle-not from Harold and Kumar. I like kickin the shit out of them. That game was beast every level was different it kept you in it and had hi replay value

            1. Hahaha yeah, was an awesome game, might re download it once im done with the ratchet and clank collection

    2. Bulletstorm is what a new Contra game should have been that train ride reminded me of contra for some reason
