Yes, because you could totally play your console games without a TV on those consoles, and you could also play games in native 1080p (It’s just scaled up on the other consoles). There’s a load of things the other consoles can’t do, and those include the Zelda and Bird demo.
Both examples you just gave can indeed be done by other systems. There are games that can be played in native 1080p. And did you ever hear of Crossplay ? Even if it’s not exactly the same thing as the WiiU does, it is what you did say: Playing games without needing a TV.
Even though being a die-hard Nintendo fan myself, I must admit that many things the WiiU can do can be done by other systems as well.
But, Zelda, even though those things can also be done on the PS3, you need to own a PS3 and a PSVITA and that’s a $550 investment. Ntm, because you need both systems, not many games will take advantage of Cross-Play AND it’s not lag-free either like the Wii-U’s GamePad is so bringing up those features is kind of pointless.

Nintendo has proven it can turn lead into gold by turning even Unreal Engine 2 into goodness with Metroid Prime. Basically, Nintendo doesn’t even really need all that supposed power you claim the Wii U has to make a game look good.

I really love Nintendo but this kinda sounds like whining to me. I mean, Nintendo with their WiiU aren’t the only ones attacked by trolls. I’ve seen a few other products of other companies being attacked even more than the WiiU. Besides, why don’t they just prove those trolls wrong if what they say is not true anyway ? If the trolls are not right at all about what they say, it shouldn’t be hard for Nintendo to show this to everyone. This all sounds a little exaggerated to me, to be honest.

While I agree there are many Wii U rumors and false facts, I think it is best for Nintendo to just remain focus and do their best. Even if there are liars out saying things not true about you or your business, do not give them too much attention. There will always be obstacles, especially when you are rising to the top in a business. There are many people out there wanting to make you look bad as much as they possibly can, even if it is lying on you. Just keep going, make the liars look bad, and don’t give in to hate. :)
