Nintendo of America has uploaded footage of the Wii U Experience Tour which took place in New York a few days ago. The event was for select members of the public to experience the Wii U for the first time. There were multiple demos available for attendees to play including New Super Mario Bros U, Pikmin 3, and Zombi U. Judging from the Youtube comments it sounds as though everyone had a fantastic time..

the actual spec desription was saying that it COULD run what the ps4 and nextbox can do. it maybe be a tiny bit less powerful but nothing too drastic. it’s a good thing.

you are talking about things u have no control over. Nintendo have already said they will get getting great third party support and it will be a very powerful system.
Then you should also know that Iwata already stated that he can’t promise Wii U will be excluded in next gen again (same story as the Wii, because it doesn’t have as much power as the others. And don’t say we don’t know anything about PS4 and X720 yet, we all know they will probably be stronger.)
I don’t know, EA was asked about the fears that wii u was stuck between this and gen and next, when they answered they said its “absolutely next gen”.
Got to read between the lines here but this gen consoles (ps3/360) are dx9 based if i’m not mistaken (I don’t own these consoles just wii and pc so correct me if I am wrong) and next gen will all be about dx11, so my guess WiiU will at least run as a low to medium build dx11 pc build.

Like I said, you need to read between the lines. They are obviously talking about the WiiUs power. Dx9 is not next gen nor is 10.1, I doubt EA would of replied with “absolutely” when asked if it is a next gen system. The early rumored specs had the wii u with a dx10.1 equivalent gpu which is where most of the “it’s not next gen”,”it’s stuck between gen” talk is coming from

MW3 has been out for ages, as has Batman. Adding a few new things does NOT warrant buying a game again for $40-$60. If you haven’t played then, sure. But there are literally millions of gamers who already have.
If you want the whole package on a superior console including the free dlc and everything yeah id say its worth it .

Have you ever thought that maybe some people were playing other games? I didn’t get Skyrim because it came out at the same time as Skyword Sword and SM3DL. I didn’t get Mass Effect 3 because I got Batman Arkham City and Assassin’s Creed Revelations due to them being more appealing games (to me). As for MW3…I’m not exactly into FPS.
FYI, most Nintendo fans DO have more than one system, it’s only the fanboys who would actually refuse to play a game because it’s on a different system.

I’m glad Nintendo is goin otta their way to convince the market what the WiiU is. This should really boost sales at launch. And those who are cryin about casual market, let them come. At some point developers will see that WiiU’s sales are rocketin (thanks to casuals) and they’ve already justified that the development for games on the system was easy-peasy, they’ll start bringin all sorts of hardcore games to the system. I know this would never happen but I personally want another Killer Instinct or a new Smash TV. If you dont know what the latter is then google it and try it out on an emulator. It was amazin fun and can definitely utilize the WiiU pad and Classic Controller

I dont find the wiiU as a cassual game console but i find it both cassual and hardcore and also wii had some hardcore games too like resident evil4,no more heroes,CoD,Zelda,Mario Galaxy series,Metroid prime and more
