Demon Training Gameplay Footage

During the latest Japanese Nintendo Direct, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata talked to Brain Age supervisor Dr. Ryuta Kawashima about Demon Training – a Brain Age sequel for the Nintendo 3DS. A demo of the game, which is shown in the video above, was released (in Japan) during the presentation.

Unlike the first two Brain Age games for the Nintendo DS, you hold the 3DS in its upright position – while playing Demon Training – in order to make use of the top screen’s 3D effect. You can watch the full Demon Training presentation on the newly announced Nintendo Direct Channel.

Skip to the 8-minute mark to see Dr. Kawashima transforming into a demon.

    1. its a japan only release anyways. And when he turns into the demon the game gets harder and you have to answer faster

    1. I mean, how are you supposed to answer a question when you don’t even know what the question is?
      ? ? ?= I mean, wtf?

        1. It’s easy
You need to memorize the number the above and the ??? is the test of what you just memorized from above if you got right/wrong on the question
          .

        2. lol its easy to understand, you just have to remember the numbers and the signs that are shown above the ??? thingy. then after you answer the ??? that number above the ??? will be the next ??? so you have to remember it. It took me time to understand it xD

      1. Christian nation?…which Nation are you talking about!? Also, Religious people really need to screw their heads on straight because they ruin a lot of good things because of their dumb beliefs. Movies, books, video games. Why can’t they keep their comments to themselves. We atheists dont care!

        1. North America is what I meant, being mostly Christian. I agree with you, I hate to see things get censored or altered to appease religious groups. I’m an atheist myself but I could see the title getting bad press.

  1. The title is retarded. I like the Brain Age Games, but won’t be getting this one. Take out the Demon and then I might consider it. What a stupid idea !

        1. It’s not just the title, it is them having a demon appear in this game. It will have a smaller fanbase based on the demon inclusion.

  2. According to kotaku NINTENDO 1979 ARCADE GAME SPACE LAUNCHER RIPOFF STARWARS ART & SPACE INVADERS GAMEPLAY. BESIDES THE OTHER INCIDENT WHEN THEY STOLE LEGO DESIGN & GOT SUIED BY DANISH COMPANY. TSK TSK THERE MORE EXAMPLES OF STEALTENDO BUT GET The POINT

  3. UGH! It was so frustrating watching this player get the wrong answers every single time!
At first I was laughing but then I was like “seriously, dude? Come on, it’s not that hard.”

I don’t understand why it’s called demon training though lol.
So he turns into a demon. So what?

  4. @revolution just go to kotaku who although they have grammatical errors like this site, it will make sense. Title nintendo ripsoff starwars and space invaders. There youll be able to grasp the information so that your butthurt will be epic. Lol ninty pwn

    1. Also it used the concept of Space Invaders, it also has a little bit of Frogger in it as well (predates Frogger). So are all shooter games just blatant copies of Goldeneye? Either way, stop trolling!

    2. Really? That’s like saying video games are a rip-off of Pong. The first video game was created in 1958 and was called Tennis for Two. No games ‘rip-off’, they simply use ideas. All video games stem from the ideas of the people who made Tennis for Two.

  5. I am going to pass on this one. Got all other brain age games. This is one Japanese game that can stay in the land of the rising sun. Yes I hate it because of the title, if you didn’t have your father, mother and other older wiser extended family members raise you; you won’t understand why am reasoning it out.

  6. Umm…at 7:24 or 7:25 does the guy playing the game say “Fuck!” after he gets a question wrong!? SOUNDS LIKE IT! :O

  7. It’s a brain training sequel but it’s much more difficult. You might need to memorize answers of the last 5 questions.
