After playing Assassin’s Creed III on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii U, GameTrailers editor-in-chief Shane Satterfield claims that the game looks best on Nintendo’s upcoming console and includes added functionality. Satterfield suggests that consumers consider purchasing the Wii U versions of Assassin’s Creed III and a possible launch title that hasn’t been revealed.
“I’m definitely getting Assassin’s Creed III. And like Mike said, I’ve seen pretty much all three versions at this point. To me, the Wii U version looks the best. It also has added functionality, so that would probably be the one game I’d buy with the Wii U, would be Assassin’s Creed III.”
“There’s another game that might make launch that hasn’t been announced yet that maybe I would buy for it. But I can’t really mention that.”

AC3 on the Wii U has way better textures and in runs at 1080p 60fps. While the PS3 and 360 version run at 720p 30fps with muddy textures.
I have my doubts that AC 3 on PS360 is 720p… I’m wondering if that game doesn’t run like BF 3, below HD res with 1280×704.

I have no idea, maybe next-gen might, who knows? If next-gen uses a GPU high-end from AMD (for example) it might achieved, just look at the AMD Eyefinity Technology that can run at 5760×2400 for example.

A Nintendo representative DID confirm both Assassin’s Creed III and Batman: Arkham City: Armored Edition on Wii U are presented in true 1080p and runs at 60 fps. And as a matter of fact, the Armored Edition shows full power of Unreal Engine 3… unlike the watered down 20% power of Unreal 3 in Batman: Arkham City PS3.
