Eurogamer Apologizes For Misleading Wii U Graphics Headline

Eurogamer have revised their headline that claimed Sega said Wii U graphics are on-par with current generation consoles. Now they make it clear that developer Sumo Digital was actually referring to the graphics of the Wii U version of Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, rather than the Wii U console’s graphics. Eurogamer apologizes for the confusion that the original article has caused.

Eurogamer’s Revised Headline: Sega: Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing Transformed Wii U graphics on-par with PlayStation 3 version, “maybe even better”

UPDATE: We’ve updated the headline of this article to better reflect the content of the story. Sega was referring to the visuals of Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing Transformed on Wii U compared to the visuals of the other versions, not the graphics capabilities of the Wii U itself. Sorry for the confusion this has caused.

so if they are ‘maybe even better’ visuals , why are they not maybe exactly the same on ps3 ?
why are they so sheepish about their statements ??? why would you make an inferior version for the ps3 if its the same power ??? nuff said.

      1. What’s funny is how, even with knowing it had wrong information, they still copied the headline anyway and made it look like it was the real news.

      2. I’m not even talking about this headline in particular. Sickr and Alba often post articles with misleading headlines.

  1. OH FOR FUCKS SAKE! Fuck off bei g so high and mighty My Nintendo News. This is the media, they try and make articles sound more exiting than they are. My Nintendo news do it, a lot. “SUPERMARKETS BOTTLING TAP WATER” no, they just aren’t sourcing it from organic springs. “SICK KILLER TAUNTING DYING MOTHER” no, the sick killer hasn’t even done anything. It happens guys, stop pretending Eurogamer are the only culprits.

      1. OH MY GOD HOW FUCKING STUPID ARE YOU? No, making a headline sound exciting is fine because you don’t pay for the page, it’s only if it’s a paid for product that false advertising laws apply.
Unless you were talking abou the bottled tap water thing in which case, it turns out they weren’t even selling it as water that came from natural springs, it was just very low quality water.
