Magmortar963, the official Nintendo magazine forum member who claimed that he spotted a listing for The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D on UK retailer GAME’s website, has admitted it was all a hoax. Magmortar963 says he created the fake listing in Powerpoint just minutes after he heard about the Nintendo Direct which took place today. Here’s what he has to say.

nintendo should release majoras mask 3d. especialy considering how grezzo did such a beautiful job of OOT3d and that is the third highest selling 3ds game at 2.8 million units and counting.
I couldn’t agree more, but if they aren’t already in development of it, then it might take at least a year if not more to make it. They need to get all the models, and recreate the puzzles and programming etc…. It takes a lot to make a game, even if it is a remake. It might take less time than OoT3D, but you can’t expect it overnight. For now, we keep voicing ourselves and see what happens.
I think they are working on a new Zelda firste before they start working on Majora’s Mask 3D. Or else the investors won’t be pleased.

Actually it does deserve a remake. It added a extra layer to the Zelda formula with masks and time system. And had many memorable characters regardless if they were taken from ocarina of time or not. Love it or hate it, it had a unique atmosphere, gameplay, and characters, and was a overall unique game. Separating itself from ocarina of time even with the obvious similarities
I really hope Nintendo releases a 3DS remake AS WELL AS a new title, maybe even within the same calendar year. That would really smooth things over with a very divided and loyal Zelda camp =)
