Vivendi is still courting numerous companies for a sale of its €8 billion majority stake in Activision Blizzard. CVG reports that despite recent assurances by Vivendi they are still eager for a sale of Activision Blizzard and it remains absolutely under consideration. The publication says Microsoft approached Activision Blizzard, but negations have not advanced any further at this moment in time.

I could care less about Activision. Games from Nintendo are quality games. Games from Activision are made for big fat American people who dont like to go outside, or for kids who like laggy online games.

Now if Microsoft announced they were selling Rare, however, and it were being reported here, I’d want Nintendo to scoop that up and refill the company with people from their own ranks, they deem worthy of the task, so that the company’s name and reputation can be redeemed.
At the very least, I’d like to see Banjo-Kazooie sold to someone else.
8 billion is a waste of money knowing that same talent can leave and form many more independent companies.
