Platinum Games Has Commented On Bayonetta 2 Announcement

Yesterday the Internet was set ablaze by the news that Bayonetta 2 is exclusive to Wii U. Following the announcement there was plenty of outrage by dedicated Bayonetta fans, with the vocal minority blasting the company for bringing the next edition of the series to Wii U. The development team at Platinum Game have commented on the situation. Here’s what Tatsuya Minami, Platinum Games President and CEO had to say regarding the decision.

On September 13, 2012 Bayonetta 2 was announced as an exclusive title under development for the Wii U during the Nintendo Direction presentation held on the same day.

As game developers, we are incredibly excited to be able to announce a new title to all of our fans; however, we are aware that the announcement may have come as a shock to many of you.

As with Bayonetta, Bayonetta 2 is under development and production here at PlatinumGames, and is a true sequel to the acclaimed first game in the series. Bayonetta is one of our most beloved titles, and it played a large part in establishing PlatinumGames as an emerging game studio in the minds of users worldwide. Bayonetta has fans the world over, and we would never dream of alienating them from participating in the future of PlatinumGames.

That being said, the console games market is in a state of upheaval, so establishing a new game franchise requires a considerable amount of will, determination, and love. Bayonetta is a brand that we want to see become stronger, reaching the hands of more and more gamers, so we have continued to consult with SEGA, the previous game’s publisher, on how we can make sure this takes place. Our answer was a new partnership with Nintendo.

Along with their new hardware, Nintendo, as a company, is dedicated to establishing a new future for the games industry, as you can tell by their record of passionate support for gaming. Alongside Nintendo, we hope to grow the Bayonetta brand beyond where it stands today, allowing even more gamers around the world to experience the action of our beloved witch. As developers, we are working hard to make this a reality.

We hope that you will look forward to what we have in store.

  1. They will certainly reach a better, more numerous, and more active gaming audience on Nintendo. Supposedly only 40% of non-Nintendo players actually complete their games. It’s sad to hear that Bayonetta 1 barely broke a million sales. If they had used Gamecube level graphics and brought it to the Wii, they could have saved themselves some development resources and Bayo1 would certainly have sold much better (10 times better if the Grand Theft Auto DS/PSP comparison of how well third party “core” games sell is any indication)

    1. Yeah, I kinda agree with you. If they did release Bayonetta on the Wii with good quality Wii graphics it may have actually made a bigger impact, as the Wii at the time would have really welcomed a good, hard-core title.

      1. (sorry, not a reply, just an attention whore)

This whole ”angry” thing is idiotic in the first place anyway.
All these ”fans” of Bayonetta should be grateful if anything, if it weren’t for Nintendo they would never have gotten a sequel to their ever so beloved series AT ALL. Sega sure wasn’t about to make this sequel, now Nintendo makes the thing actually happen AND FANS ARE PISSED?!?! WTF!
        Makes no sense whatsoever.

        1. risky? you do realize having it a nintendo exclusive is the only reason this game is able to see the light of day right?

this game was pretty much canceled. whats riskier for the series? it not getting made at all, or at the very least getting made for one of the 3 platforms as an exclusive?!?!??!

          1. There are still risks. As someone who has worked in the gaming industry in the past and is still closely associated to it, I know how these things work.

It’s true, the game could have been cancelled if Nintendo didn’t step in. However, can Nintendo guarantee that the funds put into the game’s development and publishing will see a return?

Let’s face it, the demographic that usually eats up these type of titles have been alienated for the past few years by Nintendo.

Hopefully the Wii U will change that, however that is not certain – which in turn makes it a risk. Just because you take a risk doesn’t mean that it’s a foolish one, or one that will face doom. Many risks return with great results.

So my statement that it is a risk, is not invalid. Launching the sequel to a franchise exclusively on a system owned by a company that did not carry it prior and cutting off a huge chunk of the fan-base of the franchise is a risk. There’s no doubt about it.

            1. You know I was looking at best selling games on Wikipedia the other day for each of the systems, and the games that actually sold worthwhile amounts(at least in the states anyways) generally lean to console exclusives, fps’s, and open-world/open-ended style games. In fact, I think of the top 15 games on Xbox 360, for example, 13 of them are fps’s. So I think it does a disservice to discredit Nintendo’s market as something that can’t be trusted. Although most of the best-selling games on Nintendo are by Nintendo, the same can be said of the other two. Well made games that are exclusives will generally always sell well, as long as they have a decent amount of exposure.
And I am not necessarily discounting what your saying, but when Nintendo gets exclusives, I think on a whole(if they are well made games) do as well on Nintendo as they would on any other system. Look at Resident Evil 4 and Viewtiful Joe on Gamecube. For the market penetration that Gamecube had, I believe the percentage sold on GC versus the percentage sold on PS2 was quite a bit higher in relation to owners of the systems. So, if following that logic, the GC had had a larger install-base, the game would have ultimately sold better on GC than on PS2, right? Both games in fact. So I think saying its a risk applies equally to all systems, not just Nintendo. Not to mention that Nintendo really did revive this game, so I don’t necessarily see much room for complaint, seeing as it probably wasn’t gonna happen otherwise. Just saying. Not trying to cause strife, I just see it as an unfair generalization, though I understand why the generalization is made, because the fact is that the percentage of Nintendo’s base that is in the ‘kid’ category is likely larger than the other systems, not to mention that too many fanboys only buy from Nintendo, instead of supporting third parties really at all.

            2. “Someone who has worked in the gaming industry”

Indie game companies do not count.
Neither is working as a “texture artist”.

        1. they’re cutting back on the franchises that don’t sell heaps because they’re really running out of money so focusing on sonic is a smart move at the moment for the company.

          1. I’d argue that it doesn’t matter how much they focus on Sonic because they aren’t handling that franchise very well at all.

            1. Since Sammy took over and wrecked Sega’s dev studios, most of Sega’s in-house talent has left (Yu Suzuki, Yuji Naka, Hideki Naganuma, Shun Arai, Noryoshi Oba, Tetsuya Mizaguchi, etc). Nintendo EAD and Konami have (so I hear) absorbed alot of that Sega’s first party dev talent. That leaves Nagoshi, Kumagi, and Kodama. Really, Reiko Kodama should leave Sega and go to Atlus.
This is why their IPs are in a poor state; they end up handing them to outside developers because they are really just a publisher these days.
Yu Suzuki’s departure is the equivalent of Miyamoto leaving Nintendo. Without innovative people like Suzuki (if Miyamoto is gaming’s great craftsman, Suzuki is it’s great innovator), Sega can never regain their former greatness.

    1. …no, they didn’t lose, they both profited a lot from each other. Their relationship was purely contractual though, I think from the beginning they were only supposed to make 4 games for Sega, they ended up making a 5th one for them (Anarchy Reigns) because they’ve been doing well. It’ll probably be something similar with Nintendo, I read in an interview before that they don’t wanna be bound to a single company like they were with Capcom back when they were Clover Studios.

Also, Sega vs Nintendo talk? In 2012? You’re stuck in the 90s, man. That stuff is behind us.

  2. I am going to comment on Bayonetta 2 ”I am buying this day 1 and it’s excellent for Nintendo that they seem to have snagged a new exclusive Franchise”

”Bayonetta , i will be playing with U”

        1. Nope you see sega isn’t doing well financially. So part of their strategy is to limit their losses. So they aren’t going publishing crazy. They cut back alot and will continue to do so. They said they only wanna focus on their core franchises (sonic and various licenses). So most likely they couldn’t come to an agreement with platinum and Nintendo is desperate for games( did u see how many games they are publishing themselves). So it works

      1. Not for this one they aren’t, they are supervising the development or something like that, Nintendo are the ones publishing it and funding it

          1. Yeah they had to do it because its a sega IP but they didnt have the money and werent interested in funding it so nintendo swooped them up

  3. aeoluslikestosuckoffmonkeydicksandthemonkeyisicydeadpeopleandtheyalsoseemtobeidiots

I’m always confused when people complain about Wii U getting exclusives, it’s like, don’t you want the system to be great? Why should the others get it and Nintendo not? Hell, maybe Bayonetta isn’t on the PS3/360 because they can’t run it, the ii U does, after all, have better hardware than the PS3 and 360. I feel like I’m among monkeys when i read such comments, and no, not the smart monkeys.

        1. I can understand the complaints though. The first game was a multiplatform title that did not appear on a Nintendo system. So all the people who played it before have Xbox 360s, PS3s, etc. Systems that they use all the time, have their network of friends, achievements, etc.

These core fans of the franchise have been clamoring for a sequel and when it finally comes, it’s not for a system they have.

Of course, they have the option of getting a Wii U, but it’s understandable that they might feel slighted that the game went from multiplatform to exclusive.

I don’t see them complaining about the Wii U itself, just that the game that they wanted wont be on their particular system.

On the other hand, I have seen some people who say they are getting a Wii U just for this game because it’s an exclusive. However, that’s a minority.

          1. but whats the alternative? it not getting made at all due to sega trying to cut losses here and there? Because thats basically what was happening here. This game was in danger of being canceled, and was saved by nintendo.

i can understand that people who bought the first one have a sense of entitlement because it was a multiplatform title for their systems and now its gonna be an exclusive for a system who never had it in the first place.

this sort of thing does suck. I think we can all understand that. But under the context of this game possibly being canceled all together if not for nintendo. Fans of the series should be thrilled nintendo has been able to keep the series alive.

            1. No, that’s true. It’s great that it’s coming out because Nintendo helped save it – instead of not coming out at all. However, most people do not look at that side of the coin and have a little bit of tunnel vision when it comes to these matters.

People complaining probably don’t even think or know about that and whine out of ignorance. Still, I can understand some of their reactions. Some.. not all.

          2. It’s understandable that they feel mad about it. But not that they should send messages to Platinum Games, Nintendo, and Hideki Kamiya sayings things like “YOU FUCKERS MONEY WHORES WHAT THE FUCK DIE OR I’M GONNA KILL MYSELF FUCK NINTENDO FUCK SEGA FUCK THE WORLD WAHSAWDOJSDF” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Llk5Pq6aNUI&list=FLw-R93mN0gNROUeiSpGseZw&index=1&feature=plpp_video

That’s just too much, being mad is okay, but this is just way too stupid and childish.

          3. i felt just as upset when megaman moved to the PS1 but i never condemned capcom or sent them death threats. these “fans” are nothing more than children and obviously never cared enough about the game and its developer or else they would be supporting this. i’m also seeing this all over the indie scene too, like all over terraria’s facebook page, it’s total bullcrap.

    1. Lol, if you think that’s a reason I feel sorry for you. The real reason was financial related.

People are complaining because it’s a fucking sequel on a new, completely different platform than what they bought the first. The majority of Bayonetta fans were on the 360. So they’ve effectively screwed the fanbase over.

That is why people are complaining.

      1. again. whats the alternative? This game was apparently in danger of being canceled or was declared canceled at some point.

its understandable for people to be upset. But not to the degree they have been considering nintendo kept the title from being canceled. Its either this or nobody gets it at all.

if they were true fans. they’d want it to be somewhere instead of nowhere.

and if it does well, it could restore sega’s faith in the series and go multiplatform for part 3.

        1. The alternative is not making the goddamn game until they got their financial issues in order. Splintering the fanbase is incredibly stupid and the game barely sold over 1 million copies across ALL platforms. So what makes you think it’ll sell better on THIS console alone?

It’s a dumb business decision, one that could hardly get defense without the person looking like an idiot. And don’t pull this true fan bullshit. Nobody should be forced to buy a $300 console to play one game.

          1. And nobody is being forced to buy the console just for the sake of playing the game. Plus there are other options, if you’re lucky you might get to play the game without even owning the console, if a friend or family of yours buy the console and the game you have the chance to play it. In my country (Costa Rica), there are stores in where you can go and play games by paying for hours. i don’t the know if there are stores like those in the rest of the world though… Anyway, the thing is already done, Platinum Games decides to do this, and there’s no point complaining about it. it’s okay for the people the sad, mad, whatever, but they’re overdoing it, What most of them are doing is just too much, they need to calm down. It’s a shame to see people acting in such a shameful and stupid way.

  4. Basically, other conpanies dont give a fuck, and arent doing anything interesting. I’m looking foreard to see how a gake like this will make use of the Gamepad, if it does. You could come up with all sorts of crazy shit in the Bayonetta universe

    1. Also the way i see it, shooter games, and stuff like COD, GTA, ect are so overshadowing ever other genre on the ps3 and 360, that games like this are almost worthless to Sony and Microsoft, where as people who own a Nintendo console, are WAAAAY more likely to appreciate amd buy a fantastic game like this, due to their constant desires for variety, and different genres.

    1. I don’t see how they’ve lost Monster Hunter. The only game Capcom “claims” is an exclusive is MH4, nothing stopping them from other versions.

  5. The Wii U is an 8th generation Emperor. Bayonetta had to be put on it. The two 7th generation HD twins cannot handles the graphical fidelity and physics of Bayonetta 2.

    1) The 360 would RROD both on the Console and controller

    3) the PS 3 would glitch infested the game to a slow lag.

    1. *Face-palm*
I can’t speak for the 360, but the PS3 could easily handle a version with the same level of graphics as the original.
And those still look acceptable to anyone but an elitist. I’d never look down upon PS3 graphics because they’re still beautiful.
However, having said that, I’m more than pleased that the sequel is coming to the Wii U.
I spent the entirety of yesterday at work with a huge, stupid grin on my face whenever I thought of the announcement, matter of fact.
It’s been a dream of mine to see that wonderful, wonderful game get a sequel by being co-handled by Nintendo, because they are KNOWN for taking a series and running with it, if it’s good enough.
All I ask is that they perform up to the standards of the last one.
If their attempt at it makes it just as good as the previous one, I’ll call it a success.
If their basic model of the sequel matches it, and the final product turns out to blow the previous one away, I’ll send Platinum my first-born son as compensation.XD

      1. I see what you are saying friend. But tell me did you play the first one on ps3? And played it on the 360? To be honest it funs WAY better on the 360 than on the ps3. I have compare them. I have the ps3 version and my best friend has the 360 and i was shocked to see how slow the ps3 version was and how fast and fluid the 360 version was.

In closing I doubt part 2 will run good on the hd twins. They made a great decision of bringing it to the wii u. Which is more than capable to handle it.

    2. i hope your just trolling lol

      if not

please stop that. this isnt about power. this series could and has appeared on other systems. We dont need to stoop to as low as the other guys if you know what i mean

  6. That’s because Platinum Games know Nintendo have a big future ahead in gaming. The Wii U is the only next generation platform I plan on getting.

    1. I used to play the first Bayonetta demo on PS3. The one that disappoints me is the loading times during gameplay while the X360 version runs smoothly with zero interruptions during gameplay. Now that Nintendo is publishing a sequel to the new generation console, the heroine witch will be breathing new life on the U. When it’s released next year, I’ll be playing it without putting down the GamePad.

  7. I loved bayonetta ….. huge exclusive for wii-u … don’t know what the fuss is about >_< …get N or get out lol …

  8. Nintendo is a much better publisher because they have an excellent distribution channel and are much better at promoting games than SEGA. Look at how well Xenoblade performed, and that was mainly a pre-order only release.

  9. Bayonetta 2 is a title we will most certainly be investing in – to know that the creators have received death threats in the last 24 hours regarding this exclusivity, one wonders about the mentality of those who call themselves hardcore gamers…for example, read this snapshot:

    http://i.imgur.com/Ls4DX.png

Truly, gamer mentality is deteriorating into a horribly entitled mess…and as much as one can appreciate that they desired to see this title on the console, one has to wonder how many of those claiming this actually bought the game originally, and how many of them are saying it because they are aboard the ‘Anti’ wagon – it’s quite unsettling to see such a ridiculously immature stance from those who regarded themselves for the longest time ‘the mature audience’

This game was cancelled prior to this announcement – ergo, regardless of what people may feel about the announcement, they should be considering that there is a drastic difference between what they want, and realistically how things are in the industry…and since Platinum have sided with those whom they hadn’t even had the original on a console of before, that should tell you about their confidence in the market of the other platforms in the home console market currently!

        1. Wow…those people just suck. All systems have their ups and downs, and Nintendo is a hardcore platform, just as it always was, just as its always been for families and everyone too

    1. i wholeheartedly agree! i had to suffer through megaman randomly jumping consoles when i was a kid, sure i was upset, but i didn’t go out and condemn capcom for their decision. i didn’t have money to afford a PS1 either, but if i did? i would have went out and bought one, but i couldn’t, so instead i supported their releases in other ways because i was a huge fan of their games.

people keep saying brand loyalty is ruining the industry but, in short, they are wrong. it is the current mentality that people feel they are entitled to have everything for nothing. brand loyalty just means there is a trust between you and the company, it does not mean you will get everything.

    2. That’s terrible that people can be so anti against a company that they would abandon a franchise AND company that they claim to love just because of a business move. It seems like the only people that act like that are people that don’t own multiple consoles. I was a HUGE Nintendo fanboy at one point and time, but I never reacted like this to a game announcement that was going on a different console. Be a lover of games and kick that brand loyalty out the window. It only segregates and destroys.

    3. I mean my gosh. The Wii U hasn’t even launched yet. These people need to get a life. How many AAA exclusives have been on Nintendo platforms?! All you have to do is buy the console and sell it later if you don’t want to keep it. That’s what I did with my PS2 after I beat Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2. :/

    4. Everyone in that commented in that Snapshot is a completely disturbed no life individual excuse for a real gamer! The one that takes the cake is that retard Rachel Hinton….lol omfg that bitch is complaining that “How come the game is coming to the Wii?” Doesn’t this broad know the Existence of the Wii U? And she calls herself a gamer! Hahaha! Bunch of fuckin’ idiots!

  10. Ain’t karma a bitch. Well played Nintendo. That’s what sonysoft get for blatantly copying Nintendo all this time and having psychotic, mentally disturbed, bratty punks with tourettes, as fanboys.

  11. Hmmm, i think if it werent for nintendo this game would be cancelled and will never see the light of day…and no one else will publish it not even SEGA , But it still sucks that its exclusive to wii u , i want it on PC or PS3

      1. Because now casuals and nintendrones will only buy the game , now the whole fanbase is ruined…same with nintendo land , nintendo just loves selling out their core ips to the casuals , dont they?

            1. SURE aeolus…..We all know that you secretly love wii u but have a hard time expressing your emotions since your an microfag/X bot.We know your getting it at launch especially since you put in caps not at launch which means you just don;t want us to know that.

        1. Thats so fucking dumb, “Nintendrones” are jumping for joy with this game, because of enjoying the original, or wanting the original.

  12. $5 says most of the outraged fans are under 19 and weren’t around when games like MGS, Final Fantasy, Killer instinct, Tekken, Sonic, Ridge Racer, Syphon filter, Splinter Cell, Resident Evil and most Squaresoft and Enix games were system EXCLUSIVES. That was a time where being a gamer meant trying or owning all the systems not being a fan boy of just one, because you’d miss a ton of great games in other places. Back when it was like “Oh Sony’s got Metal gear? Guess I gotta buy a PS1…shiiit…
Tell those fools to save up. Bayonetta for Wii U Boi!!!!! :D

    1. The difference is, the console market wasn’t as saturated in those days. Also, those games went from exclusive to multiplatform.

On the other hand, Bayonetta is going from multiplatform to exclusive. It’s a little retroactive.

  13. I think Sega made a mistake making those games for PS3 and Xbox 360, Bayonetta, Vanquish, Valkyria Chrocincles, were creative and like old school Japanese games, Nintendo Wii owners were more open to them if they were exclusive to Wii, PS3 and Xbox 360 were into online multiplayer. Those games couldn’t compete with Halo, Gears, COD, etc. They are different. Like, I think the same goes for Mirrors Edge, Enslaved, Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom, Shadows of the Damned, Asuras Wrath, Ninja Blade, Dark Void, Singularity, Dead to Rights, Sonic Generations, Darksiders, maybe even Castlevania Lord of Shadows. All of those games were overshadowed by other popular games on the 360 or PS3, but on the Wii, with the huge install base, the hardcore Nintendo community would have embraced them. Especially Mirrors Edge. I hope Nintendo and Platinum Games makes Vanquish sequel on Wii U. Also, I hope Valkyria Chronicles sequel comes to Wii U. I hope Nintendo and Platinum Games become close partners.

    1. You maybe right, but the problem was that the Wii system couldn’t handle those games graphically. Now that the Wii U has the specs to push those games, the system may get those games back in the form of a sequel, hopefully. Getting back exclusive 3rd party support (or any third party support really) is hard.

    2. Okay but there is another problem you forgot Gman. The Wii U is getting some of those games that would overshadow the games you listed. To name a few would be Assassin’s Creed III, Mass Effect 3, Batman Arkham City: Armored Edition, and (most of all) Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad Nintendo is finally getting these great games but now series like Red Steel, No More Heroes, and the Conduit will have a harder time getting noticed on Wii U.

  14. Now Capcom needs to make Resident Evil 6 Wii U, and Dead Rising Wii U, and lost Planet Wii U and DMC Wii U, and Mega Man Wii U. EA needs to make Dead Space WiiU and Mirrors Edge Wii U.

  15. I see that Platinum games is still standing on their ground after the flamefest of yesterday. That’s good. HATERS. GONNA. HATE.

  16. Let me say this.. First, congratulations to Nintendo for not only snagging an exclusive, but saving it as well. It appears that if Nintendo hadn’t stepped up, it would’ve been canceled. Secondly, if this had been exclusive to the new Xbox/Play station, you STILL would’ve had to BUY a new system. Also, when mass effect 2 released for the ps3, I wanted the first one to release as well. However, I respect it staying on the Xbox, and realize that if I want to play it, then I should purchase it. Also, there are other games to play as well.

  17. Amazing how the article is posted on a Nintendrone website aimed at Bayonetta fans aka PS3 and Xbox360 owners on a console that never had the first game in the first place.

Nintoddlers gotta ruin another franchise I see, don’t you have Sonic to rape?

    1. One reminds you that Sonic had games released on other systems, and thus this is a strawman argument that holds no relevence…

Considering this is a sequel to a game that underperformed and thus was TECHNICALLY cancelled before Nintendo stepped up and saved it, maintaining the stance that Nintendo having it = bad is a flawed one, seeing as there’s no reason Platinum can’t make this a fully functional, non-tablet dependant title {Gamepad, remember?} that will appeal to those who owned and enjoyed the previous one.

And yes, people DID actually own the Wii alongside other consoles…We, for example, own a PS3 and a Wii, and have enjoyed both equally…and have no qualms with the idea of Wii U having this sequel.

The Wii-U IS a proper, gods-honest playable console that, whilst not being bleeding edge, is going to be a decent system for those who will buy it…and no matter what you personally might want from your gaming experiences, this is *still* an objective unshakeable fact that you simply will have to deal with.

  18. I can understand where all the complaining is coming from. Look at Kingdom Hearts, that series has been spread over multiple platforms as exclusives and so many fans feel slighted because of it. Some people have missed out on some of the entries in the series because they couldn’t afford the other systems the games were released on. At the same time, it’s an opportunity for Bayonetta to pull in new fans who will already be getting the Wii U for other reasons. The whole thing has its pros and cons and you can’t please everybody.

  19. Also, for any people believing that the Wii U is lite on games, respectfully I would disagree. Remember, you can play ALL your Wii games on it too, in addition to all those Wii U games. Also, now that the console is done, they can concentrate on games. Miyamoto once said that the most difficult time is creating a console and games at the same time. I believe we are going to be amazed by Nintendo during E3 next year.

  20. The only thing I’m worried about is Bayonetta going from an M rated to a E rated because of Nintendo’s label all over it. Parents are gullible when Nintendo comes into the picture.

    1. The only thing you have to fear is fear itself. 1) Nintendo is bringing hardcore gamers back like what Capcom had done with Resident Evil: Revelations on 3DS; 2) Bayonetta 2 is rated M for Mature; and 3) True Bayonetta fans will be playing that sequel on the Wii U.

  21. Pingback: Nintenderos.com – Wii U, 3DS, Wii, DS, Videojuegos y Consolas Nintendo | Bayonetta 2: así reaccionó la comunidad

  22. I’m very happy to see this game come exclusively to Wii U.All the asshurt Bayonetta fans will stop bitching in a week and pick up a Wii U this holiday season. Nintendo fans eat up exclusives like this. It was a very good move by Nintendo to scoop up the series and bring it to Wii U.

These dudes are just upset that one of the games they used as a benchmark this gen to say that Nintendo is for kids because the Wii didn’t have it, is getting it’s sequel on Nintendo’s new console. This game is a day one buy for me. Exclusivity has its risks, but I think it will pay off. Leave luck to heaven.

  23. Exclusivity can be a risk, but Bayonetta 2 wouldn’t have been published by any other publisher. Nintendo basically saved it from being canceled. Anyway, this is one more hardcore game coming to Wii U. Let’s hope for much more. I wonder how the Gamepad will be implemented?

  24. I see where Platinum is coming from on this. I also feel that they are not alone and a lot of Japanese developers are recognizing that Nintendo is more of a gaming company while it’s competitors offer more on the entertainment side. I personally will buy Bayonetta 2 on day one because I am really interested to see how this works on Wii U. Also I hope that Nintendo and Platinum develop a strong business relationship and maybe (and I mean maybe) Nintendo will publish Madworld 2 (my biggest gaming dream besides Chrono Trigger 2). But right now I would settle for an Anarchy Reigns port to Wii U.
