You can now pre-order the Wii U Basic 8GB console at US retailer Toys R Us. The retailer outlet was previously out of stock of both models but has opened up pre-orders for the Basic 8GB package which they’re bundling with Batman Arkham City and Scribblenauts Unlimited. There’s currently no word on when you’ll be able to pre-order the Premium 32GB bundle.

If they’re going to offer the system at that price, wouldn’t it be better if they let you choose the games? I mean, all they’re doing is selling the system plus the games at $59.99 for each game. Then again, they might reserve the games for you that way.
I barely got my Deluxe one in just in time. I don’t thin Nintendo will offer that one anymore since it might get too expensive for them to give gamers 10% on each of their games for two years. Maybe they’ll just give you an extra game and keep the price at $349.99. I sure as hell going to take advantage of that though.

I’m going to take advantage of Nintendo Premium and buy all my Wii U games digitally. It’ll save me a lot for the next 2 years in the long run. :)

They aren’t jacking up the price. What they are doing is saying hey if you want a Wii U, you have to buy these 2 games with it. It’s not anymore expensive if you actually bought the system and games seperatally. $300 (Basic Set) + $60 (Scribblenauts) + $60 (Batman) = $420

There are retailers that know that there are people who DESPERATELY want a Wii U, so retailers (Toys R Us for ex.) want to test their customers by putting in extra things to make the price go higher, and in some cases, it does work. There will be people who will buy this, trust me.

From what I read, it’s Batman AND Scribblenauts. Since both games together are $120 and the Basic Wii U is $300, that’s why it’s $419 (Oh wow, a whole $1 savings!) But that isn’t a good bundle to me. Bundling is supposed to reduce price, not equal the same price if bought separately.
