Pokémon Mystery Dungeon 3DS Coming November

Nintendo Japan has announced that Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Magna Gate and the Infinite Labyrinth will be released in Japan on November 23rd. This new entry in the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series allows you to enter randomly generated dungeons by taking photos of round objects with the Nintendo 3DS camera. Hopefully we won’t have to wait too long for a Western release date for the game.

  1. So I click expecting a North American release date and I get nothing. Why My Nintendo News keep doing that? Is it that hard to separate news by region? Each time you do that, I’m less inclined to click on your next link. Think about it.

    1. It is. The game is a spin-off where there are no humans, just pokemon and you play as one. The game determines what pokemon you are in the beginning by asking you questions and in the sequel to the first by testing your aura. After this you’re take the role of a pokemon based on your answers (personality). The game mechanics are essentially the same as the main titles as they are turn-based but changed slightly. Now you have a “regular attack”, a non-element move that uses no PP, (something that should’ve been in pokemon games since it’s inception in my opinion) and with the fact that you’ve partners in addition to being able to recruit them from the wild (within the dungeon), you and your partners use one turn. So if you’ve got 3 additional teammates then that’s 4 attacks in one turn. There’s more that I can explain but I wouldn’t want to ruin the game for you.

        1. theyre talking about the attack you can use when all your attacks are used up. i think the one you use when you simply press A?

  3. Well, that didn’t take long… wasn’t it only announced a month and a bit ago? I hope that doesn’t mean it turns out to be some rushed afterthought 10 hour playthrough…

Regardless, reaaaally excited for this game. Hope we get an Australian release date soon.

  4. Not trying to go off topic here but, I think this has pretty much secured Nintendo for holiday sales this year in Japan. This with Animal crossing has placed yet another nail in the vitas coffin for the Christmas period, one can only hope that PASBR will be a suprise hit but with the lack of Japanese appealing characters makes you think what Sony’s plan is the vita in Japan.

  5. Magna gate>>Magna>>>>Magma. CLOSE ENOUGH. Ruby remake hint maybe? And the water parts of Hoenn, especially under water were almost labyrinthian, maybe thats a stretch, but I want the remakes so much more. Hoenn is the best region.
