GameStop’s Company president Tony Bartel has announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 has achieved the highest pre-orders in the company’s history. Bartel thinks that the popular first person shooter could genuinely be GameStop’s biggest game launch of all time.
“Consumer anticipation for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is tremendous and the company is seeing the highest pre-orders in history.”
“With its current pace, this Call of Duty is on track to break records and is likely to be our biggest game launch of all time”.
Activision has also told online gaming publication CVG that its working alongside Nintendo with the possibility of releasing the Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 DLC Map Packs and the DLC Season Pass for the new gaming platform. This has yet to be confirmed though, and is currently in the planning stages.
I admit to have purchased this for the Zombie Mode which I hear is quite robust and more involved this time around.
Capcom lost my interest with RE5. Sad I have to go to CoD for some Zombie action.
… And of course, I pre-Ordered ZombiU :D
I have played them and I still do on occasion, but I really don’t like zombie games. ;/

Pre-Orders for software and hardware are completely different.
Also, just because something sold out, that hardly means that it sold more. That just means that the supply that was allotted to each retailer had run out for the time being.
Pre-Orders for games (unless it’s a limited edition) don’t really sell out because they’re also used as a gauge of how many games to print when it goes gold.
The CoD franchise broke records in the past, I don’t see why it cant again. Does it mean that it will that record forever? Not necessarily.

I don’t mind DLC that’s made after a game is released, but they stop development on a game because they feel the half ass game they have at the moment deserves 60$, and the rest is left out to squeeze more money.
