Final Three Nintendo Land Games Revealed

Information on Captain Falcon’s Twister Race, Octopus Dance and Yoshi’s Fruit Cart were revealed at the Wii U showcase tour, revealing the final three games in the Nintendo Land collection. Here’s the details for each of the attractions which were found on a Nintendo fact sheet:

  • Captain Falcon’s Twister Race: In this single-player attraction, you’ll hold the narrow end of the Wii U GamePad upright with both hands to guide a high-speed wind-up vehicle toward the finish line.
  • Octopus Dance: This is a single-player, rhythm-based attraction using the Wii U GamePad. You must instantly memorise the movement of the character on screen and re-enact the poses using the Control Sticks or gyro sensor.
  • Yoshi’s Fruit Cart: In this brain-teasing single-player attraction, you’re asked to guide Yoshi’s cart towards the goal while collecting all the fruit along the way. The catch is that you can see fruit on the TV but not on the GamePad, a game-play mechanic made possible only using two screens.

    1. I was just thinking the same thing, I wish they could have had a mini game for it instead of the octopus dance thing. Makes more sense.

  1. I played Nintendo Land the other day , and it was actualy awesome!!! Animal crossing sweet day and luigi’s ghost mansion were awesome!! and everyone who was playing it was laughing and having a lot of fun , lol.

Don’t underestimate this game!! It could be very very good! especialy with some DLC !!.

      1. Play Expo in Manchester , England :). It was awesome I played about 10+ wiiu games!!!!

And I was in the wiiu section for a good 2 hours just playing wiiu admiring the controller. They werent asking you to leave or anything. There was a Huge que for the wiiu bit , but once I was in I just stayed in XD

  2. Ehh not so keen on these ones, they sound less inspired. It’s a shame all the games aren’t multiplayer. I know how hard that would be but I’d have a lot more fun with the game if they were.

    1. Lol. Yep. They’ve been “Doomed” since the Gamecube. Every console it’s, “Nintendo is doomed,” “This is their last console,” “They’ll never pull it off this time!,”
      Blah. Blah. Blah. Zzzzzzzzz

        1. This. They make the worst mistakes out of the three. Having to pay Xbox Live Gold Membership or Online chatting and being able to watch Netflix anyone. Kinect, nuff said. -_-

  7. I’m fine with Yoshi and F-Zero, but you have to wonder why they didn’t put a Pokemon attraction there. I mean, even if it was something like Pokemon Snap, it would have attracted a lot of people to this game.

    1. I agree (perhaps for DLC) they should have Pokemon safari (aka Pokemon snap) as the single player DLC, star fox ship command (survival first person space invaders) for the co-op and a competitive Kirby game but I have no ideas for that one lol

    1. Dear anonymous stranger,

If you want to see what Retro Studios are making for the Wii U, you’ll just have to wait until next year’s E3.
