  1. they are £39.99 in uk on eshop. you can get them for £25 in shops. the pricing is a joke!! i got 3dland and MK7 on the day they launched for £29! wise up nintendo!! i may have got starfox and oot, both remakes don’t forget, if they had been £20 or less.

    1. It is a joke! I would like to download some of these , but there is no way Im wasting a tenner+ to do so when they have in the shop £29.99 brand new or £22 pre owned :S .

      £40>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>$40 :S . $40 is like £26 :(. Different economy and goverment is different………..

      1. I’m from the US, and frankly, I very much appreciate your having posted this.

I don’t understand why people feel like they have to comment on articles that don’t apply-to or interest them.

        Thanks man.

    1. Don’t listen to the reviews. That is a very good game!!! The online is shit though unless you’re playing a friend. Becuase people use Gyroscope controls against you and they’re impossible to beat :(.

But the game is a blast and perfect for pick up and play !!!

      1. Well all the review i saw said it was good. I doubt i’ll be buying anything other than Paper Mario till the WiiU comes out

    1. They should post between 11am – 12pm, EST (Or something like 9am Pacific)
That’s when our eShop (NA) gets updated.
      :-)

      1. Well Fuck.
I’m not buying digital software that:
1.) Cost the same damn amount as a cart.
2.) I can’t even pull over my save data yet. By Spring, I will have already made it to the cart save spot.

The tool is poorly thought out, from a strategic standpoint. This shit should have been ready when Nintendo begins the push for digital retail, which is TODAY IMO.

Really? Nintendo, Really? Do you WANT to sell digital, or are you just half-assing this initiative?

        Price model = sucks
        Transfer tools = way late.

I was going to buy OOT AGAIN, like the fool I am, but since the transfer tool won’t be out till spring, fuck it. I’ll save my money.

I get so MAD BRO when Nintendo drags it’s ass and launches stuff in pieces, rather than in a complete, unified strategy. (IE, The 3DS, launching half-baked in March, 50% of it’s functions inoperational, like the beginning of a Metroid game.)

End Rant. I still love Nintendo, but damn they piss me off sometimes.

        1. I feel for you. I don’t want to rebuy the games, especially since I couldn’t transfer the data and more importantly I won’t get any additional Club Nintendo Coins since you can only register a game once. So it’d be like throwing $40 away for the convenience of not swapping out the cart.

They really should have provided this tool now (I agree with you), but I’m guessing it’s for the newer owners or those that don’t own those titles yet.

How about offering an incentive like giving me the tool, and I’ll mail them my physical copy for a downloadable copy? How about a discount if we own the physical copy?

There’s only 2 games I’d consider digital and rebuying, and one isn’t offered yet. Mariokart 7 and Kid Icarus Uprising. While 3D Land and OOT are solid titles, not worth an extra $40-$80 to have the digital version. I’m content just keeping those carts for when I want to replay those.

            1. No problem. I also wanted to let you know I just emailed Nintendo regarding my ideas (upgrading, asking about that transfer tool). Depending on when they respond I will post it here.

        2. The initiative in UK is even worse!!! £40 for a digital download :S ????? they are £29.99 in the fucking shop :@ . What are they trying to prove ??? the digital should be £27.99 and the retail £29.99 . it’s a serious joke .

          1. Apparently they don’t need the money.

I can only hope they are starting at the very top of the price model, and will work their way down when they find it’s not doing so well….

If I were Nintendo… I would price new retail games at full price 2 weeks BEFORE retail release, then drop the digital editions 25% at retail launch.

Make some extra $$ on early adopters, then treat everyone else FAIRLY. <- good idea, right? :D

            1. Yeh that’s a great idea :) . Nintendo is just stupid though with this :( . It’s disgusting to see a digital copy for £10 more . £10 is enough to feed a starveing village for a month for fucks sake , but noooooo £10 is just nothing to nintendo right ?? ”we’ll slap an extra tenner on the price for convenience of not having to remove a tiny cartridge from your pocket” W . T . F ???

This digital incentive could be HUGE . but at £40 per download they are trying to make too much profit like idiots.

We should expect better from Nintendo ” the more fun focused , family friendly happy” company.

            2. I doubt they’ll work their way down. More than likely they’ll see the games aren’t selling at the high price and then casually remark how the industry isn’t at the point for Nintendo to release digital games.

  2. Alright is starfox 64 a rail flyer kind of game or is free flight? I never ever played a single starfox game in my life.

    1. Not sure what you mean by “rail flyer” but I’m guessing that’s what it is. It’s like playing Super Mario Brothers, you go down a specific path to reach the end of each level. Some courses have an alternate path (like part-way through) to reach more difficult levels. Those require you meet a specific requirement (like defeating X amount of enemies, or shooting a switch, or simply being tilted to the one side (I think that was one)).

    2. But there are some levels that are free flight, typically boss battles though, where you can do the turn around move on the map.

    3. 90% of the game is a Rail Flyer.
The 3D is great and it’s just great fun overall.
If you don’t already own it, and you know where you want the software (because you can’t play your digital download on other 3DS once you download unless you do a full system transfer) – then I’d pick it up.

I would pickett Nintendo and buy te physical copy, personally, however if you are not Jaded like myself, the game itself is fantastic.

      1. It is? Then pass. Sorry when I want a game like that I want it to be free flight. If its on a rail that just ruins it all for me.

Sorry no 3DS game is impressing anymore for 3D video gaming ever since I got my self my 3DTV. PS3 on it equals love. I wonder if Wii U will do 3D gaming.

  3. I also think the digital games should be cheaper, but where I live the games a expensive as f*ck. REvelations is 80~100 USD. I´d love to have a phisical backup, but I can buy at least 2 games with that amount, plus I can carry all my games on a SD card.

  4. Pingback: Nintenderos.com – Wii U, 3DS, Wii, DS, Videojuegos y Consolas Nintendo | Super Mario 3D Land, Ocarina of Time 3D, Star Fox 64 3D y Mario Kart 7 ya están en la eShop Europea

  5. Hooray! And the discount for folks who have already purchased these in physical form and registered them with Club Nintendo is 0 dollars!

    1. So my $40 USD was worth playcoins the first time around, but second time around, they won’t give me playcoins for my $$?
Hmm. For a smart company, that’s a pretty stupid tactic.

  6. The reason they don’t charge less is that they don’t want to create an environment where they’re competing with retailers. It’s a bit of a slap in the face to ask Best Buy to carry your game, but then through your own service offer it cheaper. I hate it just as much as the next guy, and I would probably buy every game digitally if they were even just five bucks cheaper, but that’s the reason.
