5th Cell Explains Why Nintendo Characters Are Absent From Scribblenauts Unlimited For 3DS

Nintendo characters, including ones from The Legend of Zelda and Super Mario franchises, appear in Wii U’s version of Scribblenauts Unlimited. The Nintendo 3DS version will not feature the iconic characters because of ‘timing,’ according to Scribblenauts developer 5th Cell. The developer says the Nintendo 3DS version is complete and is currently being manufactured, unlike the Wii U version, because Game Cards take longer to make than Wii U Optical Discs.

“The 3DS version was already finished and moving into manufacturing (cartridges take longer to produce) by the time the deal was signed with WB & Nintendo…only the Wii U and PC [versions] remained and obviously Nintendo would only want their IP on their platform.”

    1. How is that a crappy reason? If the game was already finalised and being prepared for manufacture before they had the opportunity to implement it what else are they supposed to do?

    1. Don’t know about you but I bought super scribblenaughts earlier this year because I heard it was a good game, never once earlier did I have any intention of buying this game or anything similar. All I can say is, I’m so hyped for this next game.

    2. If you like making crazy ideas like:
      Obnoxious gentleman wearing
      colorful jumpsuit and wearing
      huge sun-glasses while weilding
a zombie sword on an orange
flying dead platapus to battle hordes of fat hippie chtulhu; then,
yes. Also, this one will be more
      adventure than mission select, so
it will most likely be less boring.

      1. There’s so many freakin guns :O seriously there is a ton of them in Super Scribblenauts! Even a rail gun, a goddamn RAIL GUN. Here’s the complete weapons list for Super Scribblenauts:

        Explosives: Dynamite,TNT,Torpex,Nitrocellulose,Nitroglycer Nitro (same thing),Post Two One Seven,Atom Bomb/Nuclear Bomb,grenade,bomb,sticky bomb

Melee: Sword, knife(weapon),axe, spear, whip, scythe, Zanbato, katana, Wooden Sword

        Other: staff,turret,wand,wizard staff

        THERE’S MORE THAN THAT^^^

Hopefully the master sword made the cut! This game is definitely going to be great, I’m going with the WiiU version because HD(wanted an HD Scribblenauts since forever) and the object editor which has a shit load more editing options.
