Premium pack only $30 more than Wii’s launch price here in Australia ^^ We consider the price of Wii U to be a bargain considering we expected to pay up to $600.

Aussies get a way better wage for low-end work than Americans so that’s why our prices are higher.
But our dollar is stronger (last I checked anyway) or at least equal so it’s still not completely fair. UK has lower prices than us, too.
The reason Aussies pay so much, is because the expenses for retailers here is so god damn high. If say EB games sold at online prices from overseas, they’d cease to exist very quickly.
Australians on average earn more than Americans, so that’s why the price is considerably higher than what America is getting. Furthermore, because the Australian Dollar is so high, Nintendo makes a much larger profit with products sold in Australia…

That´s true. In Brazil we expect to pay around R$ 1.400,00 for the Premium Pack, what corresponds to $700,00.

Why does far cry 3 have to release on the same day :( getting 3 games at launch, plus this on pc, plus a 2tb portable hard drive. Going to spend just about $900 that day. Yes I’m in aus too.

This SHOULD be more or less the same as Europe. I’m quite pleased by this as I work at Gamestation so my launch window will be cheap and full. There’s 5 games or so in there I’ve already got preordered.

No one has any idea how online gameplay will be on Wii U. There are still core third party games that havent been announced for Wii U. Time will tell about these two points.

007 Legends? So Australia gets that at launch? Disappointed they’re the only ones. Reviews have been awful but that is simply because it is unfaithful to the original movies.
