If I had to “migrate” from my Nintendo Console to a HD console…yeah, It would be PS3 not Xbox, sorry Microsoft.

Although I do admit that, if I had the needed money, I’d buy every single console ever xD

That would’ve been an awesome thing to do last year when people still thought Kinnect was a good idea. Now they know it’s crap and the Wii U is coming out, so I don’t think this will work out well for them.

I have own a xbox 360 for 5 years and in each day that passed fill me whit more fear of a red ring until 1 day it happened so i sold it many ppl still think like me but i dont see wii owners that got a wii that dint already owned a 360

Xbox 360 blows. I have 2 of them in my house that never get used and i play my wii more than both of them.

I’ve played both Wii and Xbox 360, although I prefer the xbox’s graphics over the wii, I find nintendo wii has the better games and I find the games more memorable on Wii (Zelda, Mario Galaxy ect).
The most I have played on the Xbox is Perfect Dark and the two Banjo kazooie games since i got bored with the majority of the Xbox games as I find them too samey. Sure the Wii is drowning in shovel ware but who even plays those games and I would also like to say that if Microsoft are trying to beat the Wii’s sales of 90+ million, they must be mad.
I do not hate the Xbox 360, I just think there is little variety in good games which in 20 years time would be considered classics. I’m certain many on the wii will be considered to be amazing, there are some on Xbox such as halo or forza but many aren’t there and I believe this may put prospective customers off the Xbox 360. So because of this they probably will not capture wii users.

Desperate times call for desperate measures . Microsoft knows that Nintendo is about to enter the HD scene and with the WII U’s release. Nintendo is now ready to reclaim any fans whom may have switched over to Xbox. Microsoft and Sony are like the ghosts in Pac-Man and Nintendo just ate a “power pellet” with Wii U.

They should be targeting each others crowd. Sony should worry about developing the Vita and Microsoft the X Box relations in japan.
Nintendo will appeal to the masses again just like they did with the wii. People talk about they won’t do as well because the wii was a sleeping giant. Lets say they capture 50% of there casyual crowd and 50% of sony and microsofts so called hardcore. Now your talking sales. lets say that the new xbox and playstation cost more than the wii u But to the average consumer they don’t do comparisons to see that extra pixel of graffix then Nintendo pulls a mario Galaxy with the Wii U except you have added tablet functionality That’s a win win for nintendo. If people stil doubt the controller take a look at this.

Have they even heard of Wii U? I mean if you read what he said, and then somebody told you about Wii U, then you would have thought you wasted 2 min. of your life. And I like how there commercials say “Every things better with Xbox 360 and Kinect”. I myself don’t like Kinect. The Wii and *sivers* PlayStation Move used controllers (you know, something with buttons you can physically touch), while Kinect is just unnatural. Plus any body who has played Wii for 6 years probably knows about the Wii U.

Im a Sony fan but have respect for Nintendo.I was a Nintendo fan before a Sony fan. And a Nintendo gamer will do one of two things before they think about gettin a 360.
1.Quit playing videos games.
2.Get a PlayStation.

I think the amount of slander and shit talking here is the worst I’ve seen probably on any site I frequently visit, probably because most of it is fairly anonymous considering you don’t have any kind of sign up. But enough of that, I’m going to throw my two cents in backed by hard facts.

Wii: Better first party games than any current console, lacks hugely in media and online components including online multiplayer. I have an original bought in 2007 white Wii that’s soft modded with Homebrew using Banner Bomb back in the day and I hardly ever use it now even with WiiMC it still doesn’t compete media wise. I’m not going to go into online multiplayer, I think we can all agree it’s a tragedy in most cases. Biggest let down of the Wii for me has to be it does not support HD of any kind.

PS3: Great first party games, but not nearly as many as the Wii. Has HD components but only outputs games and applications in 720p, early prototypes of the PS3 showed full 1080p gaming and early games like Motorstorm even had full 1080p cutscenes on the Blu-Ray discs but were never used and instead defaulted to the 720p video files as the PS3 only outputs games in 720p except WipEout which uses the GPU and Cells of the PS3 to change the resolution flawlessly which may add some noticeable video blemishes but always remains at 1280×1080 or above unless ran on a SD TV. Blu-Ray was a big upside to the PS3 and made it a great target for people who wanted a device with BR play back that had multiple uses. Third party games lack on the PS3 except for a select few including FFXIII which ran better on PS3 as they were developed for it first then ported to Xbox with bad porting support. Games such as Orcs Must Die could not be ported to the PS3 because it does not have a true multi-core CPU, it is a single core that can process two at a time with 7 other cells and one shut down, much like a CPU with logical cores. It is fast, but it’s very difficult to program for and doesn’t have as much raw power due to the whole logical core design. In other words, I absolutely adore my PS3 for it’s BR play back and first party games, disc or digital and it’s media features, but I think it’s hardware design was very stupid specially since it was the last contender in the console race, I wish they would have taken the time to instead develop a six-core CPU with IBM.

Xbox 360: I happen to play my Xbox more than my PS3 or Wii, or PSP, or DS but I don’t think any console will ever have me play it longer than I played my Gamecubes for. I like my Xbox better for multiple reasons, 95% of all multiplatform games play better on it because it runs an Intel 64x Quad-Core and is basic to code for and is why most games are built upon the 360 first then ported. Xbox offers better dev tools than the PS3 or Wii and the marketplace is designed much better than either other console and my online experience is like no other with Xbox Live as well, such as PS3 or Wii I come across much lag and on the Wii, games are almost unplayable online for me except for Monster Hunter, the online on PS3 is much better than Wii, but I still get quite a bit of lag especially on multiplatform games such as every COD, Skate (Series) but I usually have a great time online with PS3 exclusives such as Uncharted and WipEout, but still get more lag and interrupts on even those games then I do with most games on Xbox.
Most games on Xbox 360 play at a higher resolution than PS3 at a higher FPS as well but most every game either system will not run 1080p even WipEout is a gimmick, it only runs at 1080p in the menus usually then scaled down in game then fluctuates to maintain 60FPS. Xbox also upscales all games to 1080p using it’s hardware and looks good doing it, the PS3 uses a different form of upscaling and only upscales to 720p not looking as sharp. A lot of Xbox games also take advantage of 2xAA and most PS3 games don’t or use a blur filter to fake AA. Most of these examples are about multiplatform games because obviously you can’t compare Uncharted to Halo. The main reason I choose my Xbox over my PS3 is for better online features, even if it costs me $50 a year, a better feeling more responsive controller (I have bigger hands then the average person.) and the fact I can play music off a portable device, over my network or on my HDD while playing a game and it mutes the in-game music automatically. Another feature I’d like to point out is the Indie titles section of the Live marketplace, quite a few nice or stupid fun games to play and most of which only cost a dollar. I’ve never had hardware failures or issues with my Xbox except for a faulty disc drive, but replaced it with ease through Microsoft as my warranty was still good, I’ve had my Xbox longer and have had less issues with it as well, I started to have audio issues with my PS3 due to switching to a new TV, had a few bad updates and the PS3 had to reinstall the updates multiple times in a single sitting and I fear the disc drive may go soon. I also like the fact you can do just about any download in the background of the Xbox even when playing a game and most game updates on Xbox are under 20MB, most PS3 updates are well beyond that, some have topped even 1GB and you can’t do a background download of them.

Other thoughts/Disclaimer: Most of these are my own opinions or thoughts and others facts, if I stated something along the lines of; “I think” or “To me” or something similar it is an opinion, if I stated no such thing, then it is fact, you can find it all yourself by searching the web, Google is forever your best friend. Okay, so other thoughts are that I’ve had some magical moments with my PS3, experiences I can’t even begin to imagine on Xbox, but same with my Xbox but maybe not as many, but I have had better experiences on Xbox and probably more fun. But I don’t think anything compares to playing Little Big Planet with friends.

Final Verdict: In terms of hardware, multiplatform games and online features the Xbox wins, might I point out, the Xbox 360 existed before Blu-Ray technology was perfect, but a loss is a loss either way.
In terms of first party games, BR play back and media the PS3 wins.
In terms of the best first party games the Wii wins, I think one of the reasons the Wii probably didn’t do better is the fact you have to be more active and the control scheme of the Wiimote + Nunchuk isn’t always the best and often times complicates some games, so I think as a family console it probably out does either the PS3 or Xbox even in terms of the Kinect which isn’t horrible but isn’t most peoples cup of tea.

Final Last Verdict: Nothing compares to PC gaming except for the lack of first party games on consoles. We don’t get many AAA first party games for PC.
