Lost Planet 3 Coming To Wii U?

The latest edition of the digital version of Game Informer magazine has Capcom’s Lost Planet 3 listed with a Wii U release, alongside the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC versions of the game. Granted, it could all be a simple mistake on Game Informer’s part. But, it wouldn’t be too surprising if it were to be true. Would you like to see Lost Planet 3 on Wii U?

Thanks, SimplyG

  1. Cool enough. I guess. But I think I heard that they were giving this game to the developer of “Legend” – which wouldn’t be too good either way…

    1. No problem. I’m excited to see Nintendo getting more third-party games!

I’m waiting to hear confirmation (or a correction) from one of my contacts over at Capcom. He said he was going to look into it, so I’ll let people know if it’s a sure thing or not when I hear back!

        1. Ease off, Cribbin. The ignorance of others is no excuse for the rudeness of you.

          However, Dragon, he is right.
Some speculate that it could be the ship that one of the Hunters used in Metroid Prime: Hunters on the DS, but that’s an incredibly long shot since no other reference of the game was made in the end of Prime 3.
So, yeah, spoiler: The 100% ending of Prime 3 shows Samus’s ship jumping into warp-speed, then a mysterious blue ship that looks distinctly like it’s made of Phazon doing a warp-speed-jump in pursuit of her.
It’s fair to presume that Dark Samus isn’t dead. In fact, if you’ll think back, DS’s “final” death was the same as all the other times it was destroyed; it got blasted into particles that faded away.
We’ve got no way of telling if DS didn’t just re-form in space afterwards, and it’s always possible that DS could have other planets we don’t know about infected with Phazon. Others that she could take refuge on and turn into the new source of Phazon in the universe.

    1. Not to be rude, but I doubt Nintendo will ever even look at your Facebook page. Metroid Prime series is over, buddy. Move on with life and forget about it.

  2. Lost planet E.X troopers for ps3 and 3DS in Japan. So it is definitely not out of the question for Lost planet to come to wiiu. And if you remember capcom said ”they have a few projects” for the wiiiu before they announced Monster Hunter Ultimate.

This would be great , I love lost planet and picked them up for cheap on 360 not long ago.

  3. I like Lost Planet, I hope Capcom supports the Wii U with all their games, like DMC and Resident Evil 6 and Dragons Dogma.

  4. Yeah I would. It’d be easier to manage grenades, your standard and side weapon and other items with the touch screen. A bigger map would be even more helpful *remembering the desert ghost town stage in the campaign mode of LP2*

    1. Not really I jumped in on the second. The stories are completly unrelated and the lore is easy enough to pick up on.

  5. The more third party games the better. I want everything the PS3 and XBox gets. No excuse for multiplats to not be on Wii U. Leave luck to heaven.

  8. I would, but I’d rather want EX Troopers come to North American Wii U owners… and Europeon Wii U owners if they have free time.
