Developer Notion Games has announced that Nintendo has invited it to port its upcoming platformer, Super Ubi Land, to the Nintendo eShop on Wii U.
In Super Ubi Land, a player tries to help Ubi escape from being imprisoned by the evil Dr. Terrestrial on Climate Island. The game features 2D platforming, boss battles, five worlds, hand-drawn art and a unique soundtrack. Super Ubi Land will be released in 2013.
Notion Games also said Nintendo invites it to develop games for both the Nintendo 3DS and new Wii U console.
More platformers? I guess that ain’t bad. We do have a lot to choose from now though.

they do. on the wii u eshop they have a whole indie games section.
