I don’t know that is true. Yes the company is there to make a profit, but he also took a 50% paycut last year during the fall out/ 3DS price cut. The xbox360 sucks in Japan. Reason why I switched to Nintendo and Sony. Nintendo controls every market. It’s a beautiful thing when a true company can still thrive. It’s like when music was still real in the early 90s and before. If nintendo buys SEGA then am switching from PC to Linux systems cause that in itself is beautiful.
It’s Microsoft’s fault they didn’t make the Xbox 360 more appealing to Japanese consumers.
The xbox is really only appealing to America and the UK to a slight degree. Nintendo is number 1, Sony is 2 because the held fort in the mid to late 90s. Sony can take another commanding second position to nintendo this generation if they could concentrate on games and their own innovation. Microsoft on the other hand should switch over to PC gaming cause in the console world, only their wallets keep them afloat. Also paid of Pachter.
Sony ruled in the 5th and 6th generations, and had a chance to rule the 7th generation, but messed that up. Nintendo dominated in the 3rd, 4th, 7th and now stand a good chance to rule the 8th gen. Now look at the consoles. 3rd gen was NES, which only allowed high quality games, which was then followed by the SNES, which was also noted for it’s high quality games. The 5th and 6th gen were dominated the the PS1 and PS2 because of the massive amounts of software available and brilliant series’ like Crash Bandicoot, early Spyro and Tomb Raider. Unfortunately they failed to uphold this due to the fact that they slipped on the software side and pushed way too hard on the hardware side. Nintendo are leading because they focus on releasing a console that can play their famed first party games as well as other great third party games.
