Smartphone users will soon be able to browse Miiverse through their devices. During today’s Wii U-focused Nintendo Direct online presentation, company president Satoru Iwata revealed that Miiverse will become accessible on smartphones, via the mobile phones’ browsers, this spring. The initial Miiverse experience on smartphones will be browser-based; however, Iwata confirmed that Nintendo plans to launch a dedicated smartphone application for the social network.

I have a Galaxy S 3 on a plan, which I highly recommend if you’re looking for a new phone.
If the app doesn’t come to Android (Because apparently only the iPhone matters), than I’m going to be really disappointed.
I hope they don’t just send it to iOS. The excuse they may use with Android is compatability issues because Android is so fragmented. I want it on my S2 though :( (I was planning to go S3 but I just put a Custom Jellybean ROM on my S2 and it works so damn well xD )
By the way, what is the S3 like? I’m looking at upgrading but I’m not sure if I should get the S3 or should just wait for the S4 :/
Wait for the S4, if you get the S3 now you’ll be disappointed
S3 is pretty good, I would recommend the note 2 since it’s specs is better but S3 is just as good.
The Galaxy S3 is really awesome, I love it and have had no other problems with it.
But I think the Galaxy S4 will be announced soon, considering they like to release 1 a year, so it might be worth your time to just wait for that.

Friend Codes was and always be an embarrassing feature. Nintendo need a unified account system, heck I don’t care if they have to copy PSN’s.

I really like that Nintendo was being honest in this direct. Lets just hope that the acuall Miiverse app will release soon after the browser. It’s still good that they are working hard.

Yeah, i didn’t think i would consider wii u party, but how it uses the gamepad is so nice! Like when 2 players can play on the same gamepad using 1 analog stick each. I think it was a football game or something? Then with the wii remotes and the gamepad, trying to click almost all the buttons. :D So many games to look foward to, and still we gotta wait for retro’s game. Nintendo you are awesome! Now lets see what other games they still have at E3 O_O

Give me a reason why it doesnt? the iphone is one of the most popular phones out there. i am not an Apple fan and am not happy that they are a threat to my Favorite company Nintendo, but many people have the iphone and is just like any other phone out there.
Why not? If it’s coming to Smartphones, It’s 100% guaranteed Apple will always get it before android.

Since you will be able to create communities I’m thinking this could be used for creating a unified clan across different games between 3DS and WiiU. I look forward to the future of MiiVerse since it has the potential for much more.

I really really think that they should delay the service launch until there are apps for at least Android and iOS. I will never use if it is not trough an app. I donte even use facebook trough browser, nor twitter. At least they should say in-site clearly that there will be an app soon.
Ok… So why is there so much hate on gaming news sites/forums/message boards? It’s every single one! The consumers have gotten so wrapped up in all their little quests for ‘internet superiority’ or seemingly wanting their e-penis to seem larger!
