This weeks sales data is in from Japan and it shows that the Nintendo 3DS is still a device to be reckoned with as it sold 81,855 units compared to its closest competitor, the PlayStation 3, which sold 19,697 units. The Wii U continues to struggle in Japan selling 16,654 units which is just slightly more than the PlayStation Portable which sold 15,343. In the software charts Nintendo’s immensely popular Animal Crossing: New Leaf was dethroned by Capcom’s DmC. Here’s the Japanese software and hardware charts.

The game is n. 1 worldwide and for very good reason.
No games. Well.. I guess Japan does have Monster Hunter.

Xbox is really unpopular in japan. But until now I still don’t see any reason to “re-get” a 3DS or to “firstbuy” a Wii U. A system needs atleast 15 games I want plus good 3rd party support to wake my interest and until now the Wii U only has Bayonetta 2, Pikmin 3 and the 3DS does only have Luigi’s mansion and Paper Mario.

Sadly its true, i got a 3DS at launch (im still bitter about it) and the only games i enjoyed so far is Mario 3D Land, and Ocarina of time.
I am however eagerly awaiting Luigis Mansion and Fire Emblem. Isnt this why we buy Nintendo products though? For its First Party I.P.’s?
There are tons of great games for the 3DS . You haven´t been going to the right shos lately.
