Super Smash Bros. creator Masahiro Sakurai has confirmed, via Twitter, that both the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U versions of the next Super Smash Bros. title will be at this year’s E3. Yesterday, Nintendo President Satoru Iwata said ‘screens’ from the new Super Smash Bros. game will be shown at the expo, but according to IGN, Sakurai makes it seem like we may be seeing actual footage this E3. Because production of the game was announced so far in advance, Sakurai apologizes to fans of the series; however, the video game designer says there’ll be more Super Smash Bros. news coming.

SSBU for 3DS will launch first. You cant fit everything on the 25GB Wii U on the 4GB 3DS cartridge. 3DS version may be out this holiday season. But the Wii U version wont be till 2014.
Who said that the 3DS Smash Bros will be a direct “port” of the Wii U version? For the 3DS version, Sakurai wants it to be more of an “individual” and “customizable”.
Cant have a completely different Smash Bros game for the 3DS. Both versions are supposed to work together. If there is a character in the 3DS one and not in the Wii U how could you play together?

It’s not coming out Christmas 2013. Obviously you haven’t been keeping track of news on the game. Iwata clearly stated in the latest Nintendo Direct that it was a massive development undertaking and it would not be released anytime in the near future. Also, Nintendo already has The Wind Waker HD, 3D Mario, Bayonetta 2, and Yarn Yoshi coming during the fall/holiday season, so even if the game was ready to be released by before the end of the year Nintendo would most likely delay the launch to early 2014 to avoid having a having a gap in software.

Smash Bros 3DS will be 1st its only a 4 GB cartridge. That may come this holiday season. Wii U version will be 2014. Namco Bandai is helping so that will speed up the development time.
They had most of last year and all of this year to work on a game! They have help from Namco Bandai AND Sakurai has been making SSB games for YEARS now. I bet he already had loads of ideas ready before development even began that he just kept up in his head or even things that didnt make it into the first 3. SSB4 will be te Smash Bros. with the shortest production time. He knows what he is doing and that will make things go much faster. They will release both 3DS game and Wii U one at the same time(my prediction) because it makes sense. They will be released around Christmas in America to get Wii U sales flowing for the holidays. Only makes sense.

I don’t think it was towards to you,it was towards to people who happen to like the SSB. series or people who actually cares.
I love the Smash Bros. series and will always buy any that gets released. But the fun doesn’t last nearly as long for me as it does with most people who play them. Since the only thing I care about is the 1-player modes. After I’ve completed them, I usually never return. As the years go by and I still hear that people are playing them, I’m like “Wow!”.

Smash Bros 64 – HUGE part in tournaments, and in emulator online play (yes, that actually exists)
Melee- Biggest in tournaments out of the 3 games in the competitive scene
Brawl- Big in tourneys, but mostly still relevant because of the major mods such as Project M, Brawl Minus, etc.
Brawl isn’t mostly relevant because of major mods, or else you would have major offline tournies for these mods, which of course does not happen. Large tournies such as APEX, Genesis followed by regionals & even locals focus mainly on vanilla brawl in the tournament scene. If fact the only mod even getting any actual tourney time is P:M. Brawl+ died out years ago & everything else was never a tourney event or it lasted a shortwhile.
Smash Bros in APEX runs on Melee.

I personally found alot of fun and content in single player events, and unlockin all the challenges but the most fun is in the local multiplayer, hopefully online is good this time around though

Aside from the lack of buttons (which can be fixed with the CPP) I don’t see them making huge differences. If Monster Hunter can release on both Wii U and 3DS with small differences I don’t see why they can’t do the same with Smash Bros.

If THOSE are the characters you are worried about… then you have nothing to worry about. Marth is the figurehead of the F.E series and Pokemon Trainer was a popular addition. Want to be worried about a character. Be worried about Ike, Lucario, Sonic and Snake. Those are most probable to go seeing as Chrom is the new Fire Emblem warlord he will replace Ike(probably), Lucario will be replaced like Mewtwo and with Zoroark(or Mewtwo comes back or somthing) and 3rd party characters are not 100% safe because they don’t belong to Nintendo. They need the rights renewed again. Maybe they will say “no” this time.

I know Nintendo’s will be really good because will primarily focus on games while Sony and Microsoft will have to use some of their show time to present their new consoles (that is if Sony is going to show the PS4 off at E3).

Well I want Sonic and Snake to stay but I agree that more Nintendo characters deserve a chance. Espicially obscure ones such as Heracles (Glory of Heracles on DS), Shulk (Xenoblade Chronicles), Mike Jones (Startropics), etc.

Please make sure you make the best decision on which retro (Takamaru, Balloon Fighter, Mach Rider, ect.) or modern (Lil Mac, Shulk, Saki Amimiya, ect.) characters get in, Sakurai.

With the new games being sold for 30 cents on eShop for Wii U every main character is accounted for in Smash except the Punch Out series and Balloon Fighter. But Balloon fighter was given Nintendo Land so…. Lil’ Mac will be in the next game ;)

I believe it was a shortly after the release of the Wii… So E3 2007? And I believe it was released about a year after. I could be wrong though.

Well Sakurai could simply resize her like Olimar. Or even make up a story.(I thought of two that could work.) First is that in the main story mode(Sub-Space?) Ridley is cloned and a baby Ridley is created(a smaller one) one with the exact same powers as origional Ridley. Or Ridley is hit with a shrink ray and becomes playable!!! Both could work and I could see it happening. If Sakurai wants Ridley playable, he will become playable.

Once again, I wanna see some more Kid Icarus content in the game, and to see Magnus as a fighter.
He’s likely in. After all, HAL did develop Uprising (just please don’t pull a Meta Knight on Magnus).
Well that’s not my concern. It’s just that he’s only appeared in like 2 or 3 chapters… I think he’ll make it in regardless, but I’m just pointing that out…
Actually there is a very small chance of Magnus making it into the game. He’s a little known character that has only appeared in a small role for a single game. Hardly even worth considering.
IDK, HAL might sneak him in. And who knows, if they decide to do another KI game (please), Magnus could play a bigger role.
My bet is that Magnus will be an assist trophy rather than playable.

You do realize The Super Smash Bros. franchise is the best franchise ever created in the history of mankind. Best thing about Smash Bros- There are many hardcore Nintendo fans that love everything Nintendo (I am one!) and so Smash Bros is obviously a must buy game. Anyone else wondering what kind of epic music is gonna be in the next smash bros…I mean brawl had orchestras arranging the music, that’s pretty insane idk if that’s a standard nowadays but that’s pretty amazing…
I want them to dual layer it, so we can have as much epic content as possible…return of masterpieces, somehow solve the gamecube controller dilemna…3DS version is where I’m worried though, I’m guessing a CCP will be mandatory, but I can’t imagine the frantic action of smash on the 3ds .-. Especially without analogue sticks…
‘especially without analogue sticks’. A suggestion, Nintendo could make a deal of ssb3d/4 with the circle pad pro. I’m sure people won’t mind forking over a little extra money so they can buy an epic game and play it properly.

sorry I didn’t make my argument clear: I realize there’s a way of adding another pad, but its still a *pad*. Subtle movements are much more hard to judge and make w/out an actually stick popping out. Imagine melee or brawl with the 3DS’s pad controller instead of a stick…hard to imagine >.<
Smash Bros 4 is on the horizon. Prepare for epicness

3DS Smash Bros. well worth getting excited about.
Only thing that worries me is that is there a chance these games, or maybe just one, could end up like Brawl? Shown at E3 & have 3-4 different release dates before it finally came out was a bit frustrating.
But it turned out to be completely worth the wait. I honestly can’t wait for the games either (damn I seriously want Smash Bros. on the go), but as long as they make it as good as it can be, i can be happy playing Brawl until then.

Spyro is a rare Purple Dragon.
He has the power to control Elements.
The Elements he has control over are Fire, Ice, Earth, and Electricity/Lightning.
His Final Smash could be when he transforms into Dark Spyro and uses his Dragon Rage attack.
As a big Fan,Spyro on SSB4 would be Awesome.
Spyro is a Rare Purple Dragon that has the Power to control the Elements:Fire, Ice, Electricity, and Earth.He can also attack with his Horns and Tail to perform Physical Attacks.
He also has Dragon Rage, a short Burst of Power and Attack.
This is some info to help Spyro get into SSB4.
