Ubisoft Pledges Support For Wii U, Says They Have More Wii U Games Coming

rayman_legends_poster

Despite the news earlier today that Ubisoft is bringing former Wii U exclusive Rayman Legends to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, the company says that they will continue to support the Wii U. Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot told IGN that they have a number of very high quality games coming to Wii U, all of which will take full advantage of the console and its unique controller.

“We have a pipeline of games of very high quality coming on that machine, like Rayman Legends, which makes fantastic use of what the machine can do. [Nintendo] will make the necessary changes to the machine to make sure that it continues to grow fast on the market.”

“On the very big games you will see less platform exclusives happen in the future generation because of the potential, the possibilities of next-generation PCs and the next-generation of consoles will bring. That’s for the big games. For the smaller games, like you have on Xbox Live Arcade or PSN, you will probably still see some exclusive games.”

            1. Yeah but they actually make good games, ziiiing.
Nah, Rayman is good, but everything else has been mediocre since AC2

            2. I have to disagree with you on this…Platinum didn’t make promises to their fans that they didn’t keep…it wasn’t their fault they couldn’t get a publisher for their game. Ubisoft has no excuse. It’s bad enough they didn’t keep a game they said was gonna be ‘exclusive’ just that, exclusive. That’s forgivable in this day and age. What’s not is the fact that they are delaying a finished game to launch alongside 7 year old systems. Absolutely unacceptable. They should be bitched at and berated to know just how pissed off their fans and Nintendo fans in general are at the moment. If you can’t keep to something, then don’t bother bringing it up and telling people thats what you are gonna do. It shows a genuine lack of respect for your fans.

          1. Never left a comment on any website before, but you really made me chuckle lol!

            Nail -check!
            Plank… f**k it i’ll just take the bag o’nails…
            :))

    1. “When we saw all the comments when we announced the game would be focused on Wii U, all of the people that have both the PlayStation 3 and 360 were really disappointed. ”

So, Nintendo fans…… just let Ubisoft know you want Watchdogs, Far Cry 3 and other Ubisoft games… let them know that. We will se if Ubisoft are just hypocrites or they do care what Nintendo gamers want.

      1. yeah he’s mad, I really don’t care if Rayman Legend will to be in other platforms, It’s just pure marketing, make more a profit, the people in the Wii U loved the game, so why don’t make a PS3-720 version of it? now, Ubisoft for exchange, it’s going to make more games for our system, so, why is he mad?

  1. They can fuck off!!!!! I’m not buying Rayman Legends untill it’s £20 pre owned.

They fucked up bad. There was TONS of excited Wiiu owners READY to play this game. Possibly up to 500K Excited Wiiu owners wanting an Innovative , exciting exclusive on their new console.

Now it’s lost its exclusivity the excitement of the Nintendo fans has VANISHED. It will launch alongside GTAV and Windwaker Reborn , amongst others. PS3 and 360 owners will be saving all their money for 720 and ps4 and GTAV.
And the few remaining people who mighty buy this game on PS3 and 360 will see it will have worse reviews than the Wiiu version (potentialy) and , once again , like Origins , won’t even pay full price for the game.

    Ubisofts Logic = terrible.

Not being butthurt , but seriously. As a Wiiu exclusive this game could of done 1M + this year , EASILY.

    1. dont worry my friend you are not the only 1 waiting fot it be cheap now :) besides we still have Murphy and those music & touch levels. Not need for a Vita or Smartglass to play as Murphy. Rayman Legends on PS3/Xbox is Rayman Origins v1.1

    2. How is there logic terrible? The Wii U’s install is just over 3 million while the Xbox 360 and PS3 have almodt 150 million.

      1. Many current Wii U owners are waiting for a great game to come out and Rayman had no competition. I have no doubt it could have sold a million copies on the Wii U alone before the year was out. Now it will get overlooked in favor of Nintendo’s first party releases. I don’t care it went multiplatform, but the delay on the Wii U is just completely and utterly stupid.

      2. Yeah , Rayman Origins sold LESS THAN 1 MILLION on the ps3 and 360 COMBINED. 50K in it’s first month

With Rayman Origins there is a good 500K+ hardcore Nintendo fans that were ready to put this game into their NEW SYSTEM. It’s an innovative showcase of Wiiu and Nintendo fans appreciate that. Or at least we did.

They lLITTERALY might of sold more by releasing it on Wiiu now than making it multiplat in September. The whole game is designed around coop touch screen gameplay. It’s gunna be a fucking awful version on the ps3 and 360 , I know that because I have the awesome demo , Which basically relies on coop touch screen gameplay.

It will flop on the ps3 and 360. Because the PS4 and 720 will be near launch and GTAV and a load of Wiiu games will be launching. NO ONE will want a Gimped Wiiu port on an 8 year old console by then. Mark my words.

          1. There is no interest for Rayman on Ps3 and 360. Where as nearly EVERY WIIU owner has shown major interest in Rayman Legends. Why ? Because it looked like an excellent , innovative title that took advantage of our BRAND NEW system.

You sir are clueless. I guarantee you there will be next to no desire for a gimped wiiu game on 8 year old consoles in the same month GTAV is launching and the PS4 and 720 will soon be launching.

            1. You sound exactly like the butthurt Bayonetta fans right now. Seriously, you’re acting disgraceful, they pushed a release date back, big deal, Going to whinge that Pikmin 3 was pushed back too?

              1. Pikmin 3 was never given a SOLID RELEASE DATE. I have Rayman Legends fully paid for. Guess that’s getting canceled TOMMOROW.

It’s the cheek of denying Wiiu owners a game that is CLEARLY FUCKING FINISHED 100% just so they can quickly make a half assed PS3 and 360 versions missing a load of features.

They’re wrong to do this anyway , and hopefully they will realise when the shit version tanks on PS3 and 360.

                1. Ah Nintedward, you have to understand businesses have to make some risky moves :-) Unlike you, I can happily wait for the Wii U version :-)

                      1. I’ll be buying one in a months time. Which I’ve already said on more than one occassion. I’m just waiting for a decent line up of games which I’ve said once again on more than one occassion.

                2. Jelly, we’re mainly pissed off for 2 reasons
                  1. Another exclusive game goes multiplat, just what the Wii U needs (sarcasm)
                  2. I was going to buy a Wii U this spring, just for Rayman Legends, now they delay a FINISHED game so that it can correspond with the PS3 and 360 game release

More people are pissed off about the second choice, as am I.

                  1. Oh I’m not angry, as much as i’m scratching my head. I had my $60 USD laid out, ready to go buy it in 2 weeks. There isn’t too many new games coming out for this system in the next 3 months. Ubisoft would have owned the Wii U until at least Pikmin 3 was released.. They forfeitted that advantage.

By moving it to September, its going to be competing with such massive games for the Wii U, its going to flop… HARD.

This game went from a “insta-buy in Feb” to a “i’ll rent it on gamefly in Sept”

How Ubisoft thinks it will sell really well on the Wii U in September is a headscratcher. I think they will lose at least half of the sales they would have if they released this on Feb 26th as initially planned.

                  2. its like 3rd party are asking to not buy their games we are trying to but not anymore with this bullshit.
I still don’t get why delayed it by that time its going to suffer sales due to bigger titles.
Don’t buy into their bullshit, they have an opportunity to do with no competition this Feb but they drop the balls.

          2. This completely makes sense.

At first, I didn’t really think it mattered one way or the other because I did not care or plan to buy this game from the get go. But now I can see that Rayman Legends cannot compete with Wii U First party exclusives or the PS4/xbox 720.

I can already hear the sony and MS fanboys panning this game because it isn’t on the ps4/xbox 720, which makes it an inferior game in their eyes.

Seems like a lousy business move and they are in for a world of hurt.

Oh well, it isn’t my company.

            1. I personally think they will listen to all the feedback , immediately realise they fucked up and just feel like idiots for 7 months.

              1. Maybe if they hear the feedback they will go ahead and release the Wii U version as planned on Feb 26th, and then do the multiplat release in Sept…

IF i were running Ubisoft, I would do that to protect the sales they HAD in the bag, because they just lost ALOT of those sales, like me who wanted to play a new game on the Wii U and was excited for it… I can honestly say when September rolls around my attention is going to be anywhere but a Rayman game….. Windwaker HD is releasing in 3rd quarter. We could see a Mario Kart before October, and I have no doubt there is a 3D mario coming by Christmas (it just makes massive business sense to get that one out for Christmas)

I cannot for the life of me figure why Ubisoft is forfeiting the sales for the months of Feb/March/April and part of May. Its like they don’t think those sales are going anywhere…. lol, if this stays as a September release, its a renter for me, or a bargain bin in a couple of years.

              2. One thing that does not add up in my head is that Ubisoft would be sitting on top of boxes and boxes of packaged wii u rayman legends if this game really was planned to be released by feb 26th. It costs a lot of money to be sitting on hundreds of thousands of inventory for 6+ months in terms of storage alone. Not to mention the cash flow issues with inventory that is just sitting around getting old.

I don’t buy the idea that Ubisoft is delaying this game just to make it multiplat. I think the real reason is that this game needs a lot more time to be polished.

                1. Well the Wiiu Demo looks PERFECT and runs 1080p 60FPS with no bugs at all. Definitely doesn’t lack polish if the other levels are anywhere near as good as them.

        1. They sold out. Sacrficed the Nintendo fans to get more money. Ubisoft is rich at this point in their life Money should be this big a deal to them. They care more about money then respecting promises and putting passion into the games they make.

          1. They’re a business you twat. Businesses number one priority is making money. Nintendo would tell you the same god damn thing.

              1. By porting a game to a significantly bigger install base? All they’re doing is pissing off fanboys that’s it. I can wait. I’ll still buy the game for Wii U. Other fanbases have had to wait MUCH longer.

                1. Not just that they are releasing it betwin high hithers on xbox gears of wars and gta5 on ps3 last of us and gta5 is certainly a realease suicide.

                2. You don’t understand, they are losing ALOT of sales by pushing it out to September.

The game is ready and finished for the Wii U. They are only holding it back until September to do a multiplat release. NIntendo owners don’t care about exclusives, thats something a Sony fanboi crows about. What we care about is this is one less title we can play in February, because nothing else is launching this month.

Wii U games are in a drought right now. If Ubisoft released Rayman Legends on Feb 26th, they would own the console for the next 3 months. I have money and I want a new game, if Rayman dropped on the 26th, I would insta-buy it just to have something new. But moving it off into September, my interest level plummets because of all the exciting titles that will be out for the Wii U by then.

So this insta-buy title just moved into, I’ll rent it on gamefly in September. Ubisoft apparently doesn’t want my money.

            1. I have to think they are going to make less money now, for a bunch of reasons (i.e. schedule all to themselves), but the biggest reason is they have a bunch of burned customers who thought the game was coming out in the next couple of weeks. Burned customers tend to go elsewhere and not look back.

Its a very risky move on their part and they will probably end up making less money cause of it. If you go to http://www.facebook.com/ubisoft , you can see what I mean.

              1. All I’m seeing is Nintendo fans act like the butthurt Bayonetta fans. Quite sad really lol. You guys can boycott and cancel all you want. I’ll still buy it for Wii U :-)

                  1. Meh, it’s life. It’s happened before and it will happen again, I’m still excited for the game none the less :-)

                    1. How can you defend this move, it will be a disaster release. Calling people fanboys because of this fucked up move by Ubisoft is ridiculous. Hrmmm GTA 5 or Rayman is what people are going to be asking themselves, we are not fanboys for being angry, we are pissed off gamers.

                      1. Yes. There is a law preventing me from buying both, you fucking idiot. GTA 5 is not the only game releasing around the holidays dumbass but it does start the block buster releases rolling, Rayman wont even be considered until this time next year because of it. Gta 5 vs Rayman was just an obvious example to use. Even though You and I can afford to buy them all, it doesnt mean everyone can…

                      2. @Macorony, I fail to see how. What I’m more interested in though, is that Tri-pod said there is a law against him buying both, what country introduced that? O_o

                      3. The common-sence law? I guess. Why buy a game to look at it still in packaging while you play the better games?

                      4. This law was introduced world wide, however it seems it is not followed by everyone, and broken by others.

                      5. That is by far the most stupidest thing I’ve ever heard. Why shouldn’t someone be allowed to buy multiple games at once?

                      6. Priorities?
                        Lack of Interest?
Being fucked over by sell outs?
                        Common-Sence?

All valid reasons to NOT buy Rayman at launch.

                      7. Common sense has NOTHING to do with. I’ll be buying Rayman at launch with several other titles. Why? Because I can afford it, does that mean I have no common sense? Get over yourself.

                      8. Oh and btw I know what you are trying to do, I called you an idiot for bringing up the whole law thing making you think I didn’t acknowledge it was sarcasm, it just wasn’t funny so I mocked you instead…

                      9. Nope. Not sarcasm and not trying to be funny. Just laughing at how sad your life must be as you have to cry over a game XD

                    2. I’m saying most people won’t bother with it now, and you seem to think they will. And that’s what we have both been arguing about. Besides the obvious. Get over myself? What’s the fucking difference? Get over yourself.

                      1. Get over myself? I’m not crying like a little kid. I’ll happily wait for the game. I never said people will bother or not, I don’t care what they do. And yes you should get over yourself. You think buying more than one game means you lack common sense. See the problem there buddy? Christ, stupdity is ripe today.

                      2. Ya thats what I said…you’re such a fucking tool lol. I said the “reasons” to not buy Rayman are common sence, as in why do I need to list the reasons for people to not purchase Rayman @ launch, which I had to do anyways. Go ahead buy Rayman @ launch while the rest of us enjoy the big titles.

                      3. Jellybean just ignore Tri-Pod. He’s a irrational fanbioy you can’t accept people have differing opinions than himself and has nothing better to do than whine about video games over the Internet. Hopefully someday him and some others on this site will find a productive way to spend their time.

                      4. You never said the “reasons to not buy Rayman are common sense”. Now you’re making stuff up, how sad. Also I’ll be buying big titles along with Rayman, why? I can easily afford it. Oh and I’ll be having a lot of fun with the big titles the Wii U will never see as well ;)

Really? Anyone who doesn’t side with you is now my alt? Fanboys on this site seem to get desperate when they embarrass themselves.

              1. Lol no I wouldn’t. Unlike you, I understand that businesses make dick moves sometime and I just learn to live with it.

        2. Origins bombed though.

I was literally going to buy a WiiU when this game was supposed to come out, im sure many other were as well, and current owners.

But now they’re releasing it in September, to go up against GTAV. Wow, got some idiots working down at Ubisoft

        3. How are you this clueless??? Nobody has a problem with it on those systems…They LIED. And now they are pushing back a finished game to launch alongside 7 year old systems when they said it was exclusive. How hard is it to make it a ‘timed’ exclusive by releasing it now and releasing the others when they are done? Huh? How hard?

          1. Actually, they hinted a while back that it would be made multiplatform. I’m quite surprised it wasn’t multiplat to begin with. If that hint is 100% going to happen, ZombiU is next.

        4. Jet Force Gemini revolves around the Jet Force Gemini team attempting to defeat the evil leader Mizar and his horde of Drones. Jet Force Gemini is composed of three main characters: Juno, a taciturn, somewhat melancholy human male whose parents were killed by space pirates that invaded his home station; Vela, Juno’s feisty twin sister; and Lupus, Jet Force Gemini’s wardog mascot.[1] The game begins with the three characters in orbit around the planet Goldwood after barely escaping the destruction of the entire Jet Force fleet at the hands of Mizar. Their ship however, had suffered extraordinary damage, leaving them defenseless and unable to warp out of the system. It is not long before the team witnesses Mizar’s attack on Goldwood, and soon afterwards, their cruiser is attacked by a large craft of Mizar’s known as the Spawnship. Boarded by drones and out of time, the three decide to abandon the ship and go off on their own separate paths to stop the invasion.[2]

As the game progresses, the heroes eventually find themselves reunited at Mizar’s Palace—and face to face with Mizar himself. However, Mizar, enraged and vowing revenge on the human race, escapes to a nearby asteroid where he sets course to impact with Earth. King Jeff, the beloved leader of the Tribals, quickly arranges a plan to help the heroes: by providing an ancient starship that can quickly catch up to Mizar’s asteroid. Nevertheless, the team needs to locate several vital parts scattered throughout the galaxy, as well as rescue all the Tribals enslaved by Mizar. Also, King Jeff upgrades the heroes with new armor and jet packs that allow them to fly. From this point on, the team stays united and, together, works to search every world for anything they can find.[2]

After all the Tribals are rescued and the parts found, the team, along with King Jeff, reassembles the old Tribal craft and quickly depart to save Earth. After a rough landing, Juno fights through Mizar’s guards and eventually confronts the tyrant. Mizar does not go down easily this time, but indeed after a long struggle, Juno does defeat him. To the surprise of all though, Mizar is revealed to be a robot controlled by King Jeff’s jealous brother, Barry. After realizing destroying Barry’s robot ruined their best chance of destroying the asteroid, the team is out of options. In an honorable notion, Floyd, the quiet little robot that defected from Mizar and followed the team, offers to sacrifice himself to destroy the asteroid. Hesitantly, the team agrees and attaches a timed warhead to Floyd before sending him into the core. With no time to spare, the team returns to the Tribal craft and departs only seconds before Floyd reaches the core. In a brilliant flash of light, the asteroid is destroyed mere miles away from entering the atmosphere of Earth. Afterwards on Earth, Jet Force Gemini is given the highest honors for their many accomplishments.

      3. The game had no competition releasing in February, now it’s going to go up against Wind Waker and possibly both 3D Mario and Mario Kart. Ubisoft shot themselves in the foot on this one.

        1. SherlockWillFightBilbo

          Exactly.

Let’s say I have $120 and extra for tax. If Rayman comes out this month, I might get it, and then get Wind Waker in the fall. But if both Rayman AND Wind Waker come out in the fall, I might not want to spend that $120 all at once. And if I have to choose between Rayman and Zelda (one of the Zeldas I haven’t played yet, mind you), I’m GOING with Zelda xD!

    3. They’re dodging the point entirely. We’re annoyed that they’re pulling a FULLY COMPLETE game from release three weeks from launch, to delay it 7 months and give NOTHING for waiting.

    4. then other consoles will whine and ubisoft going to released those on other consoles too and then wiiu ver will be delay etc…

    5. nintendo fans are if not as selfish as ps3 and xbox fanboys. it makes me sick to know nintendo fans clame to be the real gamers yet get so pissed when a game exclusive is no longer exclusive. (i said longer lol) anyway if u people owned a buissness im sure u would make the a decision best to stay in buissness.

      1. Well … As I have seen from other related articles 90% of nintendo fans complaining was about the delay not about exclusive lost

      2. This happened before with Final Fantasy 13 when Square put it on Xbox. I’m not pleased with Rayman Legends making it multiplatform because it will feel like a downgrade version for PS3/Xbox

      3. Way to completely miss the point. We’re not mad that the game’s multiplatform; we’re mad because Ubisoft is sitting delaying the game for half a year, with less than three weeks until its already delayed release date, for no reason besides releasing it along with a couple of ports.

      4. When I make my Game Developing team our games will ONLY BE ON NINTENDO SYSTEMS AND PC. If your in the Gaming Industry for the simple fact of making alot of money then kindly gtfo. You make games cause you have a passion for it. Not to get greedy and try to just make as much money as humanly possible.

        1. “If your in the Gaming Industry for the simple fact of making alot of money then kindly gtfo”

Holy fucking shit you’re an idiot. Have fun failing at being a developer.

            1. The way Rey is acting, Game developers shouldn’t want to make money at all. I doubt he has a business plan (Which he will most certainly need) and I doubt he knows anything about finances. I see him failing MASSIVELY.

              1. Working for free is stupid in every league, i will be happy whit a work thaat pays the bills and give me luxury now and then but some people wants to earn so much to get a new jet than for atleast a new car every couple of years.

                1. Hence why I said a business plan is vital. I’ve worked on my business plan for 1.5 years before I started developing and it is constantly changing to suit the industry. I mean I make enough money from my investments and actualy work, but I want this to become significantly profitable while still making fun and enjoyable games :-)

      5. Ok let me see…A “Big” company promise your favorite company a exclusive. You are very excited about this game, BUT that company say that the “exclusive” will be delayed for the third time when its finished just for the reason they want to realese their port for other consoles in 7 MONTHS!!!…And the fanbys of this other consoles now are laughling and blame the original game console and their fans…Now tell me, how it feels?
        Sorry for the bad english.

    6. Still doesn’t fix the problem of the delay of the Wii-U version. I loose money because my certificate I paid for the pre order with expires 3/9/2013., Delay still sucks big time

      1. Finally someone with common sense. I don’t see why it’s a big deal, this isn’t exactly the first game to be given a release date and pushed back.

    7. The main point here is no longer Rayman Legends to be ported to other platforms; for me, now, the big issue is:

“[Nintendo] will make the necessary changes to the machine to make sure that it continues to grow fast on the market.”

What does he mean? A price cut in the Wii U?

      1. A rebranding and relaunch. Matte Black console named Ultra Nintendo Entertainment System with a bundled eGPU to have it compete on par with upcoming consoles and built-in user-upgradable HDD. Pro controller for main controller while GamePad becomes an optional peripheral for casual games. $300-$399 depending on options.

        Metroid Prime 4
        StarFox
        Super Mario (whatever goes here)
        F-Zero
        Xenoblade 2
        Mother 4
        Zelda

        and many others

        watch and see.

        1. SherlockWillFightBilbo

I actually agree ALMOST completely on this, with my only difference of opinion being the GamePad getting sided.

Unfortunately, half of your comment won’t happen ): I hate the Wii U’s name but it’s too late for Nintendo to change the name. Seriously, worst. name. ever.

Better GPU would be nice, too. Pro controller needs to be fixed, IMO.

I agree completely with the games (:

            1. SherlockWillFightBilbo

I think it was for something like, “We want the games to be about YOU so we decided to be hip-and-happenin’ so we changed “Wii You” to “Wii U”! I think this will catch on real well!”

-.- It’s confusing, too short, seems like an add-on, seems like a tablet, and is confused easily with the regular Wii. Nintendo needs to rethink their names. “Mario Kart Wii,” Mario Kart 7,” “Wii U,” etc. Come on, put some effort into it. Next is gonna be Mario Kart U, Zelda U, Metroid Prime Trilogy: HD U Edition, Wii Party U — STOP WITH THE U’s!!!!!

        2. 100% not going to happen LMAO!!!! Are you suggesting Nintendo is going to re-design the Wiiu ? Wow you failed hard there. Remember , the Wiiu is doing fine….

          1. I fear I have to agree with Aeolus regarding the awful choice of naming it “Wii U”, the Wii U game pad hard-to-get conception and the list of games he presented. Concerning the “underpowered”, “non-paired next-generation” Wii U’s both GPU and specs, it is early to say anything.

Anyway, thanks for your input, Aeolus.

            1. Yeah, I don’t like the name “Wii U”
It makes non-nintendo gamers think it’s just a peripheral for the Wii
I think they should have called this the “Revolution”

              1. Now I remembered that “Revolution” was the codename for Wii. The codename for Wii U was “Cafe” or “Café”, and somewhere I don’t remember it was also pointed as “Stream”. Indeed, anyone of them would be light-years better than “Wii U”.

                1. SherlockWillFightBilbo

Café would be hilariously stupid and yet waaaay better than “Wii U” XD! I really hope Nintendo in Japan doesn’t make all the MAJOR decisions without consulting someone else -.- It might sound catchy to them, but to everyone else it’s nonsensical.

Afterwards on Earth, Jet Force Gemini is given the highest honors for their many accomplishments.[2]

    8. If you pledge more Wii U support then, STOP MAKING YOUR FUCKING GAMES MULTIPLATFORMS WHEN THEY WERE ANNOUNCED EXCLUSIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    9. I honestly don’t care if they make it available on other platforms I do however think its bullshit they are delaying it from release on the wiiu weeks before the release date. Although I’m a little upset over this at least I have fire emblem this month and god of war and luigies mansion next month.

    10. Although what he said is great…we all know that atleast 80% of the games will either be delayed for months or be left out completely and head for Durango and Orbis.

This isnthe time for Nintendo to create atleast 2 new IPs besides the one Miyamoto is currently creating.

If third-party support diminishes again then 3 new IPs Nintendo only could be enough for Wii U along with all the other existing ones.

    11. This game should had been released on January. More delays because they want to port it? Release date closer to Pikmin 3 and Wonderful 101 or any other Nintendo exclusive is going to hurt Rayman sales on Wii U and PS3/Xbox owners will pass on it for other action games

    12. Even Scribblenauts got delayed…

How many launch window games have not made it now?

I can come up with 4 games right now atleast…

    13. “[Nintendo] will make the necessary changes to the machine to make sure that it continues to grow fast on the market.”

What a complete strategy change and kick in the balls from Ubisoft to Nintendo. Ubisoft gave them a lot of support for the Wii U launch but the message is clear now. If Nintendo can’t sell lots of consoles Ubisoft won’t be making any more games with Wii U as the lead platform.

Ubisoft now joins all of the other 3rd parties in the “wait and see” crowd, demanding a price cut and forcing Nintendo to single-handedly provide all of the software. So continues the self-perpetuating cycle of 3rd-party games not selling on Nintendo systems.

    14. In other words, its sounding like ZombiU is going to be the only exclusive for the Wii U by Ubisoft and maybe this mean they are going to put WatchDogs and Blacklist on the Wii U =3

    16. Until Ubisoft comes out with another GREAT title for the Wii U that is EXCLUSIVE to the Wii U and STAYS exclusive… I have lost all respect. I had a lot of respect for them last E3. Now, none… what a shame…

    17. The only problem I see with the game coming to other platforms is the fact that it is delayed seven months. Pretty sure that has started a crowd already.

      1. I agree. Ubisoft gave most of their AAA games on Wii U during Launch. It would be completely unfair to diss them on a horrible mistake like this. We will see during E3 if they really do believe in Wii U

    18. One thing trolls like jellybean refuse to answer is why the game had to be delayed on the wiiu. I don’t think most people are that upset about it being on other platforms, but why wait to release it? Where is the harm in releasing it now and ps3 and xbox fans can wait till September. We have to wait a whole for aliens and need for speed.

      1. How the fuck am I a troll? I said I’m happy to wait for the game (GOD IM SUCH A TROLL). So because I’m not hating on Ubisoft I’m a troll? GOOD LOGIC BUDDY. I was never really asked why it was delayed, the answer I would give though would be business decision to release all at the same time I’m assuming, frankly I don’t care, you can whinge like the little baby you are or suck it up and wait which is what I’m doing. Stupidity is ripe today.

        1. your a troll because you call people names who are upset about this. trolls = disrespect. Also a business decision is no answer at all, its just a buzz word. you dont really have an answer as to why it was delayed.

          1. Well when fans are blinded with hate, they won’t accept any answer. Also troll actually means I purposefully say something to piss someone off. WHICH I DIDNT. People on this site would have to be the stupidest I ever seen!

“Also a business decision is no answer at all, its just a buzz word. ”

-___- I’ll just go jump off the cliff now then I don’t have to put up with your idiocy.

    19. LOL LOLOL as a wiiu owner I never gave a rats ass about rayman or it’s previous gsmes. I feel proud to have dissed the demo on displays by calling it nothing more than a pretty ds game on a console.
Save your money instead and get mighty switch force.

I’ll admit im not excited to play my wiiu but rayman not being exclusive has no effect on me as I never cared for. I have extra money to burn so owning a wiiu isn’t s big deal, but Nintendo is failing to impress me as a long time consumer.

    20. Ive allways hated Rayman games because the fucking guy have no arms … hands in the air punching things without arms is killing me … hate that retard. NOT BUYING IT UNTIL THEY MAKE RAYMAN WITH ARMS.
