The Official Nintendo Magazine Tease Was Actually Resident Evil Revelations, Features Off-TV Play

The surprise teaser from the Official Nintendo Magazine was actually Resident Evil: Revelations for Wii U, which was announced a few weeks ago. The information was revealed when subscribers started getting their copies of the magazine through the mail. The magazine features a ten page exclusive on the game which is due to arrive in North America on May 21st, and throughout Europe on May 24th. The publication has confirmed that Resident Evil: Revelations for Wii U will feature off-TV play, and will support the Wii U Pro Controller. You will also be able to use the Wii U GamePad to access quick inventory changes and also gain access to multi-level 3D maps.

    1. Yeah, ONM confirmed that this was the teased game the same week Revelations HD was revealed.

Good to know that they will be taking advantage of some of the Wii U’s gamepad exclusive features.

    1. Really? How’s the Smartglass compatibility?

Then the WIi U version will be the most genuine experience due to dual-screen functionality. End of story.

      1. GIMMICK which has failed with casuals. HAHAHAHAHA only fanboys wwant a wiiU for the same old rehash franchises with some gimmick

      2. XBox 360’s 1st 2 months of sales: 1.3 million
PS3’s first two months of sales: 1.6 million
Wii U’s first 2 months of sales: 2.6 million

Yeah, looks like a failure ::rolleyes:::

The original Wii’s sales in first 2 months: 3.5 million.

      1. im stpid y cnt i spel cal me stupid onne mre time, whatis wrong wit me wii u, cal me stupppid to mannnny times, thanks this is what people sound like randomly bashing wii u right now wait 2 years to say that, then you will know how crappy it is, and how much people are buying

  1. It’s great but I’m not buying it untill it’s cheap second hand if at all. I do have this game on 3DS so it would be just stupid to play it again. Unless the graphics are DRAMATICALLY overhauled , not interested.

    1. Not necessarily praised more but they will likely sell more because the install bases are obviously much larger.

It’s too early to say which version(s) will be the overall superior one(s).

  2. i never bought if for 3ds cause i got the xl later on and sold the normal one. and playing it without another circle pad is just not the same thing. so i’m really excited.

  3. Really… so that was it…. Call me bored. Official Nintendo Magazine… next time you claim you have some mega news… make sure it is something significant like a Metroid U screen shoots or trailer, Zelda U trailer/Screen shoots, an exclusive Wii U AAA game. Otherwise over hyping an average game at best is pathetic on your part. Talk about trying to sell magazines on fluff.

  4. Pretty sure the ps360 didnt sell well in the first few months, the fsct is wii u games look beyter thsn the ps360 version from lazy ports there inly going get better

  5. It’s been a year since I want to get that along with the 3DS… it was until the game is gonna be available on multiplatforms. It’s a good thing the Wii U version will be as great as the original 3DS counterpart.

    1. Revelation is the best version after 4. I have it on my 3ds and finished it on both normal and hell mode. I will be getting this one for the wii u… I really enjoy this game… especially the online aspect.

      Get N or get OUT!!!!!

  6. Sounds good. For awhile I didn’t think I would have an RE game for my Wii U. I think I’ll rather like the Wii U version of this game.
