Two Tribes, the developer behind Toki Tori 2, have said that they will add a level editor and Miiverse support via a patch post launch. We already know that Toki Tori 2 will feature the lucrative off-TV play, but soon you’ll be able to create your own levels and puzzles using the Wii U GamePad. Two Tribes also say that eventually you will be able to create levels with the editor, then share them via MiiVerse.
“As you’ll know if you’re on the Steam alpha list, the editor we use to make the game is pretty darn powerful. We’d love you to be able to create your own puzzles, and the Wii U GamePad lends itself to this pretty well.”
“What if you could create levels with the editor, then share them via MiiVerse and allow others to open them with a single click? What if this could tie in with levels created in the Steam version? All of this might come true!”
That’s nice.
Great! I just hope Nintendo wakes up and make a patch for nsmbu to include a level editor and the ability to share levels online
One can only dream.
Love the idea, but can they afford to waste dev time for that?
Yes, yes they can, is Nintendo. It wil happen? I do not think so
Toki Tori 2 is another must downloadable purchase!
well said, Toki tori 1 for the gbc is what got me playing handheld games.
If the rest were this devoted to Nintendo, gamds would own more.
By the way, see the Toki Tori developer’s user in Miiverse: ColloU
He’s quite active there, and I’ll buy Toki Tori 2 partly just to support that (though of course also because the game will probably be quite good). Anyone can ask questions there about the game, and he answers them as much as he can. I think it’s really great and more devs should definitely do that. Just a shame he hasn’t got the verified account status yet, as the game isn’t published.
Sounds brilliant! Another must purchase.
Toki Tori II sounds like it is coming along really nice. I bet it will be a hit which is Good for Two Tribes, can’t wait to see the finished product!
So Crytek and their beloved cryEngine failed to do this. Looking at this video showed me just how much of a beast the Wii U is. It also exposes lazy developers. Here is looking at you EA.
