Ubisoft developer Mathieu Audrain who is supposedly working on Beyond Good and Evil 2 has listed that the game could be coming to Wii U on his Linkedin profile. Audrain is the level designer behind both ZombiU and Beyond Good and Evil 2. The way that he has listed the game along with the platforms doesn’t really make it one hundred percent clear. Beyond Good and Evil 2 has been in development for a long time, so let’s hope it hasn’t been canned.

They got released at the same time but the gamecube version got more media attention because it was hailed has a ubisoft zelda.

Well Gearboxed is the term because it happened with Duke as well. It just seems like they take in the broken projects and just do minimal amount of work to fund Borderlands, and id be fine with that, if they didnt hype it up, like it was the best game ever.

11 days ago a report claimed this game was canned by ubisoft because of slow sales of wii u in europe and because of high prices of the next systems. just because someone worked on it doesnt mean its coming. i hate headlines that end with a ?question mark? roumors are lame!

However, we had a staff member at DICE and he heard about a game cancellation on Wii U and after putting the pieces together we’re fairly confident that Beyond Good & Evil 2 is the game that fits the description. The game was a sequel to a game that flopped commercially but built up a fanbase over time. It was in development for Wii U and the hope was to “up-port” it to future consoles for launch but things looked risky from the business end. The two reasons given for the cancellation of the project were:
1) Sales of Wii U were too low in Europe, where the publisher was looking to get a significant amount of the game sales.
2) The publisher heard the pricing of one future console from the console’s maker and got scared that penetration of the console at launch might be too low due to the economy.
Taking such a gamble was too much at the moment for the publisher and they axed development of the entire project.
I feel like Ubisoft is supporting the Wii U more than Nintendo lol!!!
