Warner Bros To Release LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes For Wii U

lego_batman_2

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and TT Games have announced that LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes, one of 2012’s best received family games, will soon be making its way onto the Wii U system from Nintendo this Spring 2013. Releasing to critical acclaim in June 2012, NBC News hailed it as “the best LEGO game yet,” while IGN called the story “…entertaining from start to finish.” Since its summer 2012 debut, LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes has sold more than 3.4 million units worldwide to date.

LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes will take advantage of the innovative Wii U GamePad controller. Players will navigate through Gotham City using an enhanced interactive map and select their favourite DC Comics characters to assemble a powerful team of heroes, all with the use of the controller’s touchscreen. They can even enjoy the entire game experience on the GamePad in off-TV mode, or have a second player join in on the TV, so they can fight crime together without having to share a single screen.

Thanks, Ikeezzo

      1. “interactive map” and off-tv play… that’s not something to die for. In any case, the more games the better.

    1. Haha i love our British humour.
I loved the bit with the DriveClub guy,
“I really really love cars cos im fookin weird”. xD

Either way, i thought it was a good conference but every game announcement was either “oh thats cool” or “yeah, thats look cool i guess”, or “fuck off square enix”.
I kept expecting MGS:GZ or 5, or Ratchet and Clank or something. Nope :(

      1. Honestly my favourite game at the conference was The Witness xD
Media Molecule have great ideas, and Watch Dogs looks great and im looking forward to Infamous SS, and Killzone will probably be great, but nothing really made me go “OH MY GOOOOD” like the guy from Troll 2, it was mainly tech demos.

The best part of that was more their attitude, they seem set on making it more like the ps2, great easy compatible hardware, and simple, easy to use and time saving operating system. Plus, no shitty ps1 dualshock! :D seriously, its like if Nintendo kept using the N64 controller, but glad they’ve FINALLY redesigned it

      2. It’s funny as fuck that video isn’t it XD ! A blank canvas , says the guy who ONLY makes Gran turismo games.

Killzone really didn’t wow me at all like it did others. The game will no doubt be great , but graphically speaking I expected a LOT MORE. The bit where they’re flying over the City looks great , but then the actuall gameplay just looks like a PS3 game with a load of wierd Blue and orange lighting everywhere like the guy said in the Video.
I am Expecting Crysis 3 on Max settings and even better on PS4 and 720 graphically.

        1. Yeah, i mean as someone who played the other Killzone games, ShadowFall didnt wow me, it just looked like the scale was more ambitious.

I personally think Killzone is a really great shooter, they’ve got great mechanics, and shooting is responsive as hell, and i also love the overall aesthetic and lore of the series, i think its great, better than Crysis. Crysis is just cool game mechanics that arent supported in basic level design. If they supported all the abilities and level design in the same way a game like Dishonored does, it would be amazing, but it doesnt. Killzone has its strength in its simplicity, and supported game mechanics, the cover system is fucking AMAZING.

          1. It seems the PS4’s major selling point is going to be once again , amazing graphics. I’m going to presume Killzone is far from finished cus a lot of the textures and stuff had little to no detail like the walls and the rubble on the floor.
The game will shit on Crysis in terms of gameplay , But we already know Killzone runs at 30FPS and 30FPS gaming isn’t going to pull PC elitists down from their ivory tower any time soon.

I’m happy with the graphics of my wiiu , heck I’m happy with the graphics of My gamecube and DS and 3DS ,
The PS4 is going to have to demonstrate Crysis 3 max settings level graphics to entice people over from their current consoles right away.

            1. I do agree that they shouldnt make Killzone 1080p and 30 fps rather than 720p and 60fps, id prefer a more solid framerate than extra pixels. But yeah, obviously its not finished yet.

I just want games to be bigger and run smoother. In some cases with games like Dead Space, the improved graphics is REEEALLY going to help make the game better because the games biggest strengths are atmosphere and sound design, as well as solid gameplay (although they messed up alot of the enemy AI and ratios in 3, seriously why is every enemy a runner now, and why am i going up against 15 in just one tiny room…)

              1. indeed. There is a plausable rumour that Killzone is only running off 1.5GB worth of Video ram. I find that totaly believable , as I think when the PS4 is maxed it’s going to look near perfect graphically.

    2. If that Media Molecule thing is going to be an app the amount of penises people will create will cause the internet to explode.

      1. Yeah, but it isn’t news on the Xbox, Ps3, and PC when it comes out on those systems. It is only news on the baby console where these type of unmanly games thrive, virgin.

    1. A game that was made UNMANLY on last gen consoles, now gets a chance to be MANLY on the mighty Wii U! Gosh, my body is ready!

      ~THE REAL BILL~

  1. Bill, I told you, it’s safe for you to come out of the closet.
We at Nintendo love unique people.

Other than that…the only thi g that got me somewhat interested was the co-op seperate screen thing.

    1. I will come out of the closet! I will admit to being gay, but Nintendo fans do not care if you are gay or straight! That’s why I will always love the manly Nintendo company!
      ~THE REAL BILL~

      1. Sorry guys! I’m just up to my old tricks again. Wow! I really need to get a life, or at least a girl that can stand to look at me. Gosh, my body is ready!

  2. WB Games is truly supporting Nintendo. Batman: Arkham City: Armored Edition, Scribblenauts Unlimited, and now… Lego Batman 2! The development team at TT Games have done a tremendous job in taking advantage of the versatility of the GamePad adding features including gadgets and whatnot. Now that Lego Batman 2 is coming to the U next season, imagine the fun in playing the game and using the GamePad as your personalized Bat-utility belt, it makes you feel like you’re once again The Dark Knight. Merci, Monseiur Tremblay!

  3. While I’m not interesting in getting it, this is good because it adds to the Wii U library. Plus the gamepad functionality gives some indication on how Lego Marvel Super Heroes (which I plan on purchasing) will use the gamepad. So it’s good news overall.

  4. March and games have started arriving en-masse. They should release this early to mid spring. My Wii U collection keeps on growing.

  5. Wii U(nderpowered) is a PIECE OF SHIT HARDWARE WHICH IS ALSO CURRENT GEN SEEING THE SPECS LOL.
PS4 right around the corner with the beat 8 GIGS DDR5 RAM + 8 CORES WEOUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHA

    1. The Wii U is overpowered! The hardware may not be as good as the PS4’s but the PS4 will be terrible when compared to the manly PS4! The PS4 is right around the corner, but will fall down a hole at end of the path!
