Ubisoft Releases Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag Trailer And Details

Ubisoft has released the official trailer for Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag ahead of the original 5pm  embargo. The very same video was uploaded by Games Radar on Saturday but was swiftly made private. Polygon says that Black Flag looks like a spin-off game. It’s an open-world pirate simulator, a marked departure from the more narratively linear Assassin’s Creed games that came before it. The game is due to release on all-formats on October 29th. Here’s the description.

The year is 1715. Pirates rule the Caribbean and have established their own lawless Republic. Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag introduces Edward Kenway, a brash rebel Pirate Assassin. His fight for glory has earned him the respect of legends like Blackbeard, but also drawn him into the ancient war between Assassins and Templars, a war that may destroy everything the pirates have built. Take part in an incredible and seamless adventure. Discover the most diverse Assassin’s Creed world ever created. From Kingston to Nassau, explore 50 unique locations where you can live the life of a pirate. Become one of the most feared pirates in the West Indies. Stand amongst legendary names as you establish a lawless Republic in the Bahamas and relive the truly explosive events that defined the Golden Age of Piracy.

  1. Just read that there’s 8 separate Ubisoft studios working on the game.

Which is funny considering what someone was saying the other day on here about Watch_Dogs.

  2. I’m sure there will be varying opinions on this, however as a huge Pirate fan, and with hope of more marine battles such as can be found in AC3, I’m very much looking forward to this.

  3. It looks so epic except the assassin creed part. I don’t like ac. Could never bring myself to completely play through the first. I miss pirate games. Lucas arts (or Disney now) should make another “monkey island” game.

  4. I love Pirates. I have never gotten an Assasin’s Creed game, but I might play this one just because the guy that was talking sounded like Barbosa from Pirates of the Carribean… one of the best movie franchises ever created.

  5. Personally, I liked Assassin’s Creed III for the most part. This game looks really good too. I will gladly buy it on Wii U.
