Nintendo has revealed a new Nintendo 3DS LL color for Japan. The mint-colored Nintendo 3DS LL, shown in the picture above, will go on sale in Japan on April 18th. There’s no word yet on whether the new color will be released in the West. Later this month, on March 20th, Japan is getting two new Nintendo 3DS colors – Light Blue and Gloss Pink – both of which haven’t been confirmed for a Western release.

what game do you suggest worth buying an XL for, still debating rather to buy one or not just.
DUDE! There’s Fire Emblem: Awakening, Super Mario 3D Land, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, Kid Icarus: Uprising, Etrian Odyssey IV, Mario Kart 7, Kingdom Hearts, and like… tons of games coming. There’s a wide selection that I think has something for everyone.
The Bit Trip Collection is also quite excelent. And you can get it crazy cheap these days.

LOL! Same here. My parents’ bathroom was a mint color before in our old house, and every time I walked into their bathroom I craved mint chip ice cream. A strange place to crave ice cream. Hehe.

I wish they made some sort of shadow colour with a red Nintendo 3DS tag at the back…

I don’t really like it
I’m starting to feel extremely insulted and annoyed with Nintendo. Why are they favoring Japan so much? I know Nintendo is a japanese company and all, but this is ridiculous. Japan keeps getting all of the new colors and special edition 3DS XL’s (or, LL’s), yet North America gets diddly squat. I’ve been hoping for a green one. Not mint green, but it’s close.
I think it’s mainly because European gamers do not fancy Nintendo that much…
With UK leading that side why would they?,,,
NA gets some stuff from time to time because the fanbase is solid there atleast…
I think they should market more in EU first…
But Europe got the AWESOME Pikachu 3DS XL. Something I’ll NEVER get over being upset about.
That is probably their reasoning, true. Japan will always be their biggest market, so it makes sense to focus on that…but I dunno, sometimes I feel that low sales elsewhere is caused by them favouring Japan over other regions so much…

What makes you say that? That vast majority of DS/Lite colors eventually came here, so why wouldn’t it be the case for the 3DS?
Because the West just isn’t as privileged to Japan’s goodies.
