Capcom Says There Are No Planned Updates For Resident Evil: Revelations On Nintendo 3DS

resident_evil_revelations_rachel_and_jill_fightRachel is confirmed as a playable character in the upcoming home console versions of Resident Evil: Revelations. And although she made her debut in the original edition of the game for Nintendo 3DS, Rachel will not be made playable on Nintendo’s handheld. In fact, according to Capcom’s senior vice president, Christian Svensson, the company has no plans to release updates for the Nintendo 3DS version of Resident Evil: Revelations. The survival horror game arrives on PlayStation 3, Wii U and Xbox 360 in May.

I was hoping when will Capcom make an update or DLC ( eshop/via Spotpass ) for Rachel to be playable in Raid Mode. I know Rachel was a useless model design for the game but many 3DS players want Rachel to be playable in Raid Mode.. & please make it fair.. I don’t want to buy a PS3 & RE:R HD just for Rachel. Please make Rachel playable in the 3DS ver… I was waiting last year that Rachel will be a DLC for the game…..

Christian Svensson: Sorry guys, but there are no planned updates for the 3DS version of Revelations. We’ve added a fair amount of new content to the new edition which is fairly common to do.

        1. Either him or that weaboo guy who keeps on calling people racist and posting retarted grammar mistakes on purpose.

  1. Well, at least I’ll be able to nab it on my WiiU. Missed the 3DS version.

A little sad, actually, how the 3DS game got good reviews and sales, so they port it. Thanks to the direction the main series is heading, I hope they realise what people actually want from the Resi series: more of this.

Other than this, I do feel for the 3DS owners that already shelled out money for a copy of the game.

    1. The 3ds owners got there money wort out of the game a year ago if we had to be sad for someone is consoles owners.

  2. We need an update in the future for the 3ds. All those changes they made was great but Not enough for me to buy the game all over again. Unless they have an opinion to transfer your data! Those level 50 guns and perks (ex: full auto) is not easy to come by!

      1. Are you retarded?

        – One) Facebook games are not exactly known for being “real games”, especially in comparison to the 3DS.
        – Two) why end the comment being polite after being a total asshole.
        – Three) You almost make me want to spam message that facebook account!

  3. Well Capcom is busy doing a whole bunch of other stuff at the moment! DuckTales, Resident Evil Revelations for PS3, Wii U and Xbox360, a supposed “secret” Megaman project, probably some Monster Hunters 3 DLC, Monster Hunters 4, Megaman 4 and 5 for 3DS and probably other megaman ports as well. Capcom is BUSY!!!

      1. Yeah, pretty much. So they can’t “waste” their time with DLC for an older 3DS game. Plus if they want the Wii U one to sell they need more additions for it that differentiate it from the 3DS one so people will rebuy it. If they add Rachel as a playable character to the 3DS then that is one more thing the Wii U and 3DS version have in common.

    1. if they released the extra stuff for the 3DS then that would make the new versions redundant for current owners of the game. It only makes financial and business sense for them to do what they are doing.

  4. Sort of unrelated: Am I the only one that feels like we are suffering a drought of fresh news (not sickr’s fault just a serious lack of information for anyone)? My body is so ready for a Nintendo Direct it’s not even funny. Or maybe it’s the fact that E3 will soon be upon us in a couple of months. All I know is that for the mean time I do have quite a list of games that I want for this year/next year: 3D Mario, Mario Kart U, Zelda U, SSB4, Pokemon X and Y, Mario and Luigi: Dream Team, X, Yoshi’s Epic Yarn, Wonderful 101, Bayonetta 2, Watchdogs, Pikmin 3, and Assassin’s Creed Black Flag. What about you guys?

    1. List of games I will buy if they (inevitably) turn out good

      Lego City (UK)
      Toki tori 2

      Watchdogs
      Project cars

      1. taku bink bonk weeaboo

come on man. u crazy in the head n shit. ubisoft dos one bad thing 2 nintendo and u crying like a bitch man come on folks. grow up man and buy Rayman Legends n shit ya hear.

      2. Oh yeah I totally forgot about Rayman Legends, Animal Crossing New Leaf Injustice: Gods Among Us, Game and Wario, and Deus Ex Wii U. I’m definitely getting those games as well. I highly recommend Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon, Fire Emblem Awakening and Mario and Luigi Dream Team (when it comes out). Based on what I know of your tastes, I think you would like those three games. Be sure to also check out Monster Hunter 3 if you are into action-RPGs.

    2. Forget the news and go get a couple games to fill your time lol. If you have a Wii U get lego City or monster hunter 3, both are great at consuming time. I have put in over 20 hours on lego city so far and am only done about 25% of the game. Plus I just picked up the lego expansion thingy. Pricey for an expansion but it came with lego so I’m good with that lol.

      1. Yeah I bought both versions of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate and I know I can invest 500+ hours into the game and not get bored. I just wish that I knew more about games like Bayonetta 2, 3D Mario, Mario Kart U, and SSB4. E3 can’t come soon enough!

  5. Sorry for the randomness but….. I have a theory I have been thinking about! Nintendo is having to 30-30-30 deal right? And that consists of Balloon Fight, F-Zero, Punch Out!!, Donkey Kong, Kirby, Yoshi, and Metroid. Well all of these (except Balloon Fight) have a representative in the Smash series. Donkey Kong, Kirby, Yoshi, Metroid, and Captain Falcon. Balloon Fighter was recently in Nintendo Land as well as all of the other characters with an exception for Kirby. so he had his game of fame but Little Mac from Punch Out!! needs to be in Smash Bros! He is the only one in the 30-30-30 without a part in the Smash series or Nintendo Land. That leads me to believe he will be in the Smash series. What do you think? There is also a rumor that he will be in the next game along with the ninja from Nintendo land. Seems as convincing as a rumor can be to me!

    1. He actually was in the Smash Bros games, but not as a playable character, he was an item. I can vividly remember being pummeled by him lol. But yeah, I would love it if they made him a playable character, been wanting to pummel people to smush for a long time as little mac.

    2. Well, Rumors about Nintendo games are usually false as Nintendo has one of the best kept lids on all of their projects. HOWEVER: Masahiro Sakurai did originally plan to have Balloon Fighter in one of the games, but his physics weren’t working and he was taking to much development time, so they scrapped him. It’s possible he’ll make a comeback. Little Mac was an assist Trophy and will most likely be fully playable in the next game. AND if any character were to be playable from “the ninja game”, it would be Takamaru, who is actually the star of the game that the “ninja game” is based on. In fact, the attraction in Nintendoland is called “Takamaru’s Ninja Castle”, so I’m pretty sure it’s safe to say, Takamaru has a better chance. HOWEVER (again), just because these series have seen some light does not mean they’ll be in smash. Nintendo doesn’t revolve around Smash Brothers. As much I personally would like to see these three characters make it in, you must remember, when it comes to Nintendo you cannot prove anything, unless you work there. Just don’t believe anything you hear. At the same time though, I encourage you to have fun speculating who will be in the next smash and what they’d be like to play as.
