I’m looking for two enthusiastic individuals to help support Alba and myself by covering the latest Nintendo news and rumours. Ideally, I’m looking to get someone from the US and someone from the UK. I run my own blog on WordPress and the top sites like this one and mine actually do get income from advertisements through what WP calls WordAds.
A decent amount if income, too.
In fact I think MNN is the number one blog on WP, or at least amongst the top 5.

Yeah man, it’s not luck and it’s not foolishness. I was once like all of you, actually I knew more than all of you combined, I was very hardcore, you’d love me back then.
Then I noticed all this knowledge didn’t help me with predicting the market right, so I started studying, economicis, behavior, found smarter people than me, and now I can see the market moves much more clearly than when I was a hardcore.
The downside is the classic Plato’s Cave complex, the hardcore see me as an intruder, trying to destroy their world. Anyone saying their world is not real, is an enemy, even if he’s right.
And this is the very reason why i don’t go deep into this. Well good luck on whatever the hell your doing and stay classy.

about luigi’s mansion: I simply love that game. It not only reinvents the original game mechanics, but also reinvent itself on every corner. It’s already my favorite 3DS title.
Also, the game have more replay value than it’s predecessor, on the single player campain, every mission has a rank, so you might want to comeback and score better, and there’s tons of collectables (specially hidden ones)
The multiplayer is realy fun, it’s not as great as a mario kart multiplayer, but it sure has great value.
If you like Nintendo and the first luigi’s mansion game, you’ll not turn off your 3DS for a while.
I know XD This game is awesome lol. I’ve never found myself laughing more in a game. And you know there are some scary moments in the game, but I’ve only started on the second mansion.
I agree, the game is hilarious! Also, the graphics are better than any portable game I’ve ever played. I’m not only talking about resolution or poligon counts which can be found better on PSVita, I’m talking about the overrall experience, when the game concept (horror movies inspiration + comedy) meets top of the line animations, expressions and lightning effects that adds a LOT to the fun. It’s really complex for a portable game.
ya i just bought it because i loved the original, its good so far and im stuck, haha, there is some difficult puzzles, that is good considering nintendo games now days are pretty easy, i think im stuck on mission 1-5 haha, well i got sorta stuck before but found a way, you just have to think and sorta look more closely
Yep, there’s some hard puzzles that I got stuck multiple times. it’s very rewarding when you find the solution. Right now, I’m at the 4th mansion.
yea next level games was have supposed to of done a good job, it would be cool if they made eternal darkness 2 for wii u, since it keeps getting trademarked and there supposed to be working on a really secret title according to them, seems like a good fit
I would love a new eternal darkness game. These guys can handle it pretty good :D
yea it would show that nintendo is really trying to get the core back, and that they dont only offer kid friendly non dark games, im actually playing eternal darkness and am getting closer to beating it, its a pretty cool game and is awesome. im really curious how and what direction the wii u will be, and if they can get more companies to work for them like this and build better relationships and get good support from companies that are good but dont get any attention from anyone
I think the Wii U concept is different from the Wii. It might get some casual games, as much as every console gets, but it will stick with the core gamers and Nintendo fans. Nintendo surely will reveal new IPs for the console (where’s the rumored anguish souls game?) and I think It will have great third party support. We need to be patient, because it still have to stabilish as a good platform for thirds, but I’m sure the next games will drive the sales. Nintendo needs to be agressive on software this E3 too.

lol, in todays world you don’t need to own your own site. all you have to have is facebook or twitter. Let them blog for ya. I on the other hand have opera and twitter. I hate Facebook. No i am not interested, just pointing out some good suggestions. Opera, or http://www.opera.com has it’s own blogging site, and all you need to do is become a member of opera, which is free. I see nintendo, and tons of other blogs being advertised on there. To get a feed from them is go to http://www.opera.com and, click on the RSS link. Almost any web service today has blogging.
I personally prefer Google Chrome. Search bar is implemented in the URL bar, and it supports themes. And is great all-around.

Yes, I would be interested if I were able to write reviews or opinion on happenings in the industry, but I doubt they’d ever be interested in that side of journalism. I don’t have professional experience in writing other than patient care reports and financial analysis reports however.
Hopefully they’ll find some decent people to provide them some quality work rather than the current cut-and-paste tabloidism.

I doubt I’m the only one who isn’t interested in reading game reviews written by fanboys. When I decide on reading a review, I make sure it’s on a site which is not focused on a single company. I don’t think any of the people wanting to write reviews for this site is capable of writing a completely objective, unbiased review for games of series like Super Mario or The Legend of Zelda. I definitely do not support this suggestion.

I’d have to say that I really appreciate what you, [Sickr] and Alba do. It’s pretty cool that you two take your time off and constantly post Nintendo News. Also if I could choose good candidate, I would choose Simply G because he has experience with this. Alas, that’s his choice.

I’d be more interested in bringing feature articles to the site, rather than just splitting the work load of posting every tiny bit of news. Features like reviews and top 10s, sensible opinion pieces on the state of the industry and things of that nature.

But I don’t really have the time to run a site myself these days. I’d only be looking to contribute a single article per week or something. Not really enough to keep a new blog going on it’s own.
Sickr/Alba would ideally like someone who could commit more time, and are probably just looking for more people to post news, rather than features.
So I’d like to contribute, but realistically, I’m probably not the best choice.
I live in UK but my English is not very good. And I do believe my contribution will lower the quality of this blog.

It’s fun at first, but it can get tedious sometimes and your brain can get dry from coming up with things to post. (that is from my personal experience) If its a news site however, then it seems to be a bit easier.
I don’t have a wordpress blog thingy besides this account, but I’ve been blogging for 2, almost 3 years at 1up.com and I’m from the U.S. sickr, if you want, I’ll send you a link to some of my blogs from 1up to see if you’re interested in me writing for MNN.
