Capcom Reveals Life-Size Mega Man Statue

mega_man_statue

Capcom has created a gigantic life-size Mega Man statue which will appear at this year’s E3 event in June and also at San Diego Comic Con. The wonderful statue was originally meant to appear at PAX East, but unfortunately it wasn’t quite ready in time, according to Capcom community manager Brett Elston.

For those who are unable to attend these events, Capcom is offering a slightly smaller desktop version which is available to pre-order on the Capcom Store through midnight, April 21st. The desktop version of the Mega Man statue is 10 inches tall and powered via USB. It will set you back $99.95. Is anyone going to make a purchase?

      1. I’m kind of tempted (Mega Man is my favorite franchise ever), but yeah, 100.00 US is too much money. And, on top of that, I prefer the old-school, pixelated Mega Man. :)

        1. @N Runs Over It: Aren’t you the same moron who said ”Nintendo are the only ones who make good games”? If so, whatever you say — is just pointless, and no one should take you seriously.

    1. Fact deal with raw data that has been verified by several experts. Opinion however are just rambling of a random person.

      Learn the different.

  1. Now that’s an awesome statue!! They definitely got the details right and it’s really high quality. 100 bucks is actually a lot less than I would have expected. I probably can’t get it right now, but one day maybe.

  2. If this is going to be at E3 my guess is that Capcom is going to announce something that has to do with the Mega Man franchise

  3. Capcom: “Sorry we don’t have any new Meag Man games, but here’s a 10 inch statue you can buy for $100!!!!!!!” Thank god Nintendo doesn’t troll it’s fans like this.

      1. Best thing I’ve ever gotten off club Nintendo is a Mario mouse mat. I’ve had it for years now and I just love the thing.

  4. Hey guys, instead of making you all a Mege Man game like you all want….we made this statue for you all instead.

      1. Oh I’m still here. I just don’t leave comments anymore. Mostly because they’re wasted breath to these boobs on here now. And don’t even get me started on sickr and Alba’s unprofessional posts. Unfortunately for me there is no faster news sight and as long as the source links are there I’m content to lerk around still. I recognize your name buy not your pic.

  5. Ah, this is cool! I know Mega Man has lacked a game, a true game, for quite awhile now, but I can’t deny how cool this is! Ahhhh…. if I bled money, maybe I’d get the desktop version.

  6. Yes, 100$ for a statue that you won’t do anything with except stare at it from time to time…

I’d rather buy a whole new game and enjoy my well spent resources…

    You began very well Capconians…

    Don’t start going downhill now…

    1. its like saying you bought Mona Lisa painting fir millions and ypu dont anything about it except stare, you cant touch it either because it will lower its value. Thats the purpose of STATUE, you stare at it, its a piece of art, if you dont like it, dont buy it.

I loled at Miyamoto being LV100 and having 350 HP xD! But what the heck did I just watch .__.

  7. Capcom is the king of making you over-pay for needless garbage. Almost a hundred bucks for a USP powered light-up toy?

  8. Silver or Gold Statue? Because $100! for a common mini statue with those little “leds” and USB cable. CMON! that’s a robbery! Those mini leds don’t cost more than $2, maybe less, i guess the statue is cheap plastic. Do you think that’s a collectors item?? Pff.. what a waste of money, i would pay no more than $25 for that.

  9. Obviously capcom is testing the waters and limits of the megaman fanbase to see how much they are willing to spend and support megaman, in other words if capcom sees a shit ton of money and crazy ass fans forking over cash.. they’ll probably be like

capcom:WHOA WTF? quickly everyone! start making megaman games we have a cash cow on our hands!

  17. I’ve been surfing online more than 4 hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours.
It is pretty worth enough for me. In my opinion, if all website
owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the internet will be a lot more useful
    than ever before.
