      1. TRINE 2 is AWESOME!!! the physics based puzzles an gameplay is great, to be honest with you the use of real time physics is the best i have ever seen, half life 1 an 2 have great physics in too, an the art, oh my lord the vibrant crisp art is mind blowing, why cant more 2d games look as good as this one? this price drop is a steal, an made me feel guilty for paying such less for one of my all time best indie games, this an journey on PS3 really opened my eyes, that you dont need a AAA budget to make a sexy game!!!!

    1. N-Dub Nation, the original Xenoblade Chronicles only sold 0.86m units. What makes you think it’s Wii U sequel will be a platinum seller?

      1. I know your post wasn’t directed at me, but I want to add my two cents since it’s a game that interests me:
It being a sequel is only a speculation based upon the looks of the landscapes and similarities in the battle system, so far.[that and the big X that is being used for it]
Due to the difference in characters and land-scape, it may be a case of Final Fantasy; similar builds but different games.
As for what might make it a platinum seller?
Well, the teaser trailer, for one, is more than a little impressive, and having been exposed to the first one, and The Last Story, and now the upcoming game Pandora’s Tower, people are finally starting to see how skilled Monolith is at making RPG’s.
“X” could ride that success to big sales, much like Borderlands 2 rode the waves of the less-successful in sales[but objectively better-built] Borderlands 1, from Gearbox Software.

Also, I don’t know where you got the 0.86M units from, but as far as I know, it sold better than that in Japan….global sales should be taken into account, for the sake of accuracy.

        1. Uh, I think 0.86 million is the global figures. It sold better in North America than in Japan I believe.

          1. N-Dub Nation is crazy. He thinks Xenoblade 2 will sell millions in the first week in Japan. Pokemon barely sells that much and it is like CoD to that country.

I don’t understand how he thinks one game in a series can go from selling 0.16m lifetime in Japan to millions in the first few days. Then again it is N-Delusional.

            1. First week might be a bit much, but yeah, if it rides the wave of success from other entries from the company, it isn’t too outlandish to think it might end up a platinum seller eventually.
Monolith software really knows their shit as far as RPG’s go. I haven’t had this much fun with one since Ar Tonelico, and considering how much I adore that series, that’s saying A LOT…

  1. This game is great. Where it truly shines on PC. But I guess Wii U has one game that looks better than the PS3/Xbox360 version! Lololol!

        1. i play nintendo consoles and computer games i use to play xbox and ps also but they didn’t give any of the games i was hoping for so they are out for me now…. i got basically every game that i hoped for besides pikmin and starfox on wii….

    1. It not only looks better, it also has more levels. It’s the only console version to include the otherwise PC exclusive Goblin Menace expansion pack. There’s also one level that’s exclusive to Wii U and not even on PC. There’s more to a game than graphics dipshit.

        1. the wii u trine 2 directors cut is THE DEFINITIVE CONSOLE VERSION!! it looks almost as good as the pc version, an obliterates the PS3 an 360 versions, i own and game on all platforms including pc, an trust me the wii u version looks stunning!! the PS3 an 360 version employ a dynamic resolution system, which scales the resolution down when its too demanding, on the other hand the wii-u version is rock solid native 720p, that alone makes the wii-u release look allot better then the PS3 AN 360 versions! it also has better lighting, an you have to see the game running in front of you to really appreciate how good it looks! the wii-u version also includes the dlc expansion pack, which have to this day not been released on PS3 an 360! an is only on pc, an now wii-u, an so with this in mind it makes the wii u version by far the definitive console version! everybody needs to buy it, i so hope a trine 3 is in development!

      1. same goes for ps360 nothing on those consoles made any impact on video games as a whole but wiiu has about 6yrs of life still

                    1. Damn it was awesome. The only major flaw I had with it is that it ended. It was really a breath of fresh air to the FPS genre. It’s one of the few games which you love to play because it is so amazing but hate playing at the same time because you’re getting closer to the end. I think it will be a lock for GOTY unless something incredible comes out this fall… Sadly though I’ve seen ignorant fanboys call it a generic shooter and even a CoD clone.

                  1. ive player over 50 fps game last gen. thats what i do i play fps games and nintendo games fps being my favorite so ya ima nintendo fanboy because we all know nintendo makes the best online fps games.

      2. “Neither do I”? Now I understand all your ignorant comments. How can you berate something that you don’t even own? For example, I own a Wii, 3ds, PSP, PS3, and Wii U. Since I own each one of those consoles, I have the experience to state an informed opinion. If you don’t like Nintendo, just say that. Regardless of your personal feelings, the Wii U is a wonderful console. What I can’t understand is how people like yourself claim to dislike all things Nintendo, yet I find you on about every article. Anyhow, if your goal is to discourage Nintendo fans, you’re doing a poor job. So please, be conscious of your time, and find a website where you talk to like minded individuals like yourself. You have no friends here!

          1. @Jellybean..I’m glad that YOU find him cool! Plus, his trolling moments are ALL the time. I have no problems with people who have a different viewpoint than me, but you should have the ability to add something relevant to the conversation, which he always doesn’t. I love listening and speaking to ALL gamers, unless they’re trolling!

        1. +9001
I’m addicted to it, especially now that the series has introduced free hunting. No longer must I take a time-limited quest for some of the monsters in the game just to hunt them; after progressing far enough, things start spawning in the Moga Woods that I can freely access and fight, no time limits or death penalties, as long as I visit it on the day mentioned in the Forecast.
It makes hunting and gathering resources soooooo much less annoying when I get tired of doing quest after quest. It’s a chance to unwind from the serious hunts, and I hope the option stays in all future iterations of the series from this point forward.

  2. I don’t like playing games on pc. Because I have to choose sitting unconfortably at a desk or confortably on couch. but it’s not absolutely terrible

        1. yea lets pay 60 a game and pay to play it online or buy it for 60 play online for free but use a shitty controller fuck paying 40 and playing for free.

              1. THAT’S WHAT WE WERE TALKING ABOUT IN THE FIRST PLACE.

Were you dropped on your head at birth or something?

  3. but it’s a personal preferance thing even if I had a laptop i still like the Wii U gamepad better than the key board and a mouse(or touch sensor).

  4. wiius controller fits the human body well filling the gap between the body its the best controller ever made.

              1. whats unnecessary is ms and sony stealing things from nintendo. whats unnecessary is paying fox xbl whats unnecessary is sony using a 15yr controller whats unnecessary is over priced hhd and memory sticks whats unnecessary is the aaa mainstream market

                1. 1) Nintendo has stolen ideas, I don’t know why people think they haven’t
                  2) Paying for XBL is the reason why it is the most stable console online
                  3) There is nothing wrong with Sony’s controller
                  4) Only the memory cards are expensive

                    1. Just fanboys looking for excuses again really. I loved the PS3 controller, and will certainly look forward to the PS4 controller.

                      1. Also how is Jellybean a troll for liking the PS3 controller? You are the biggest troll, Tony Lane.

                    2. Pitfall near your door

Nintendo might have stole some things but how many times has Sony and MS stole from Nintendo? Every company steals ideas from each other to make more profit with them so Nintendo isn’t the only guilty one.

                  1. i remember when the n64 analogstick was unnecessary now sony and ms use 2… i also remember when the nes’s 2nd button was unnecessary because everyone was use to 1 button. so adding a cam mic speakers tilt control and touchscreen things people use everyday on a phone is very unnecessary.

                    1. sonys sticks have no real thumb support making gamers lift their thumb to reset it every 5mins theres lil to no force back in the springs its so tiny and light it feels like it could float away by a lil wind… and why dont my ps1controller work on ps3 they are they same. making people rebuy them just because its got a battery? lames

      1. ok so does any body remember Shigeru said that people just have not embraced the inportance of the screen

    1. I own it on the Wii U, and I gotta say, the game pad makes a HUGE difference, especially when playing as the Wizard. So much more freedom and speed when creating and placing objects via the touch screen, it’s such a huge difference between drawing with the stick that I wouldn’t ever willingly play without the touch screen on the Wii U for this game.
It’s a little less useful for the Knight and Thief, but even they sometimes have their pad uses.
I cleared the main storyline, and now I’m hunting down all of the map pieces to unlock the extra story segment. It’s a huge challenge that’s testing my skills.

      1. Actually, on second thought, put “mouse” in there right alongside my statement about using the stick to draw.
I can use the pad faster and more accurately than I could ever draw with a mouse, or even the touch pad on a laptop to move the pointer.

      1. Hey, you’re a smart one. Maybe you could talk some sense into Tony Lane (N-Dub Nation). Please! The poor fellow needs help.

    2. if people wanna stay stuck in the late 90’s let them keep playing basic 3d model games ps360 are n64s in hd. same kinda games run walk open door get key open door attack yay dead boss repeat…. SO FUCKING BORING.

      1. Let me guess what the next Mario game will be about… You will jump and hop around. Fight Bowser and then save Peach!!! Yipee!

        1. And this is why the mainstream industry is slowly but gradually dying from what you and the other guy mentioned. Yes they will keep selling but it’s only a matter of time till we see another console crash.

          1. we been in a console crash since 2006 why do you think nintendo went casual? no faith in the mainstream market because of shovelware on xbox and ps2

            1. lol the gaming community thats filled with people calling other people nigggers? that gaming community? the same gaming community that says girl gamers are all fat ugly whores? that gaming community! the one filled with racism on over sea publishing that gaming community! :D

        1) Nintendo has stolen ideas, I don’t know why people think they haven’t
        2) Paying for XBL is the reason why it is the most stable console online
        3) There is nothing wrong with Sony’s controller
        4) Only the memory cards are expensive

i remember when the n64 analogstick was unnecessary now sony and ms use 2… i also remember when the nes’s 2nd button was unnecessary because everyone was use to 1 button. so adding a cam mic speakers tilt control and touchscreen things people use everyday on a phone is very unnecessary.

Actually, on second thought, put “mouse” in there right alongside my statement about using the stick to draw.
I can use the pad faster and more accurately than I could ever draw with a mouse, or even the touch pad on a laptop to move the pointer.

jelly is a troll for attacking nintendo gamers on a nintendo gaming website.

Nope, you called it attacking :D

              1. He copied practically all of the posts above him by mistake, as you can see.
Not laughing to be mean, just saying, mistakes like that are once-in-a-blue-moon and therefore quite amusing.XD

    3. DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ DERPZ

    4. so belly i mean jelly… tell me things nintendo stole from ms or sony? things ms and sony did 1st as console standard being something they added and kept

      1. Bro, don’t even.
        Just, don’t.
All three companies are guilty of borrowing, readjusting, and reselling concepts for games and hardware at this point.
You’d be stupid to believe that any of them are more guilty than any others.

          1. Howsabout this then: Sony had a prototype wand controller out before the Wiimote was ever made[and there was actually a motion controller before the ancient Power Glove that Nintendo made way back in the day], and Nintendo is getting into the game late with party chat and communities in-game, which Microsoft and PC gaming practically pioneered.
Face it; NO ONE is innocent of copying, rebranding, etc etc.

It’s an industry norm at this point.

        1. twice sony has released a console only to later change the controller based off of nintendo controllers… if the gamecube add on witch would have added wii like functions im sure ps2 would have got move and not ps3.

    5. what the fuck is going on here, its like the world ended and im stuck on the earth with a cow that keeps taking a dump next to me. really i cant even explain how fucked up this is

      1. everything you just said is important, everybody cares about you, it will be ok, happy that somebody acts like they care…… get used to it this will be the only time, hope your not a huge loser like this in real life. oh that would not be good

    6. the people here not for nintendo news are easy targets mostly people that were not gaming 10yrs ago just uninformed people in their late teens and early 20s fucking derpz

      1. I didn’t have alot of fun with this. Combat has plenty of options, but the best one personally comes at the start (Sword & Shield) and the game is almost broken with the resetable level ups. But if you have a friend or two, maybe there is fun to be had.
