Nintendo of America has revealed via its official Facebook page that the Wii U Virtual Console will be officially launching on Wii U this Tuesday in North America. The Wii U system update is also due to be released next week and features a number of improvements. You can see all the Virtual Console titles that have been announced for North America below.

Like others said, Injustice just released. RE:Revelations, Deus Ex, Sniper Elite V2, Fast & Furious all come out in may and all are new to the Wii U, with 2 being new to consoles entirely.
Then you’ve got the supposed leak of the German release of W101, NA usually gets games a couple weeks earlier than Europe depending on the game (still miffed that Terranigma on the SNES has never been brought over).
What they REALLY aren’t bringing are better 3DS XL colors. Blue/Black, Red/Black, Pikachu, Animal Crossing. Ugh, no thank you. I want a 3DS…..but not with those colors.
The problem is that some of us already have a PS3 or Xbox 360 for third party games. We still want first party games to come out as well.

I’ve played every other game except Prime Hunters and Other M. How am I a fake fan?
Hunters is a great DS game. And Super metroid is one of the best games ever made. The prime trilogy for me personally is one of gamings greatest achievements. It makes the Uncharted trilogy seem completely forgettable.

The reason why Sony moves to new IPs so often is because none of their series have the same staying power as Nintendo’s. You can bet that if Sony had something as popular as Mario they would milk it too.

By staying power I mean how many of Sony’s 1st party franchises from the first Playstation are still popular? Only Gran Turismo if i’m not mistaken. They could’ve really expanded on Crash and Spyro but they were stupid and let them go. Although franchises from the PS2 are still around they have nowhere near the popularity as Nintendo’s and were milked to hell (there were more God of War games in a single generation than the main Mario platforming games, same goes for Ratchet & Clank). Yeah GameCube had some good games but over all it was not very successful. The PS2 on the other hand is widely regarded as one of the greast consoles of all-time.
True. Success is irrelivant. The Wii Sold more than PS3 and 360 and was a good console with some trully amazing games , but it did not have as fleshed out a library as PS3 or 360 and it didn’t last as long due to lack of HD and overall power.

Ok let me be a bit more clearer. For one, I am NOT calling those titles crap. And two, what I meant was the fact that the Wii’s VC was getting crap titles month after month in the US. Whereas the Wii VC in Japan was getting way better titles releases that we didnt see until a great deal later.

And to sit there and not fully utilize said potential is a waste. Truth be told the VC is what actually sold me on the Wii, that along with the Gamecube BC, it was the all in one system. Anyway, what I really want to know is if I’ve already purchased these on the Wii VC, will they be listed as free re-downloads on the Wii U VC, or will I have to purchase them again (for the 3rd or 4th time in some cases)?
